Semyon Varlamov was perfect in net and Brock Nelson scored the lone goal of the game to get the Islanders a 1-0 win over the Capitals.

It was a great game but I wouldn’t go that far. 1-0 games are almost never talked about as great games by NHL network.

@@kenarthur6253 lol I’m a caps fan and this was a fun game to watch. Hats off to the isles for winning, but to call a losing record (so far) for this season “domination” is comical.

@@ShaneMartin0 I'm also a longtime Capitals Fan. Season Ticket Holder for over a decade. They should have re-signed Trotz, vice making that lame offer and then hiring Reirden. Trotz clobbered Caps when it counts, the Playoffs. And Todd has been fired. Trotz has gotten the best of the Capitals by far. Not even close. Caps have yet to win a Playoff Series. Islanders have won multiple series.
