Honvéd-szobor, Budapest

The Statue of Honved was set in honor of the freedom fighters occupying Budapest in 1849.
The base material is limestone height 5.3 m, statue bronze height 4.2 m. The sculpture depicts an honorable officer injured at the arrival of the castle, while the flag of his right sword in his left hand is a high flag.
The statue is located in the central part of the Castle District on Dísz Square. The Dísz Square is mainly a one-and two-storey old dwelling house, north-south of the first district of Budapest.
