  • Expert Card Technique, Royal Road and Encyclopedia of Card Tricks are basically the Hugard and Braue holy trinity of card magic. I would highly recommend all of them to anybody taking card magic seriously.

    • Pablo Carrión It goes into greater detail on a wider range of card sleights than the other two. It has moves like the side slip, the bottom deal, etc, that Royal Road and Encyclopedia don't have.

  • Yo Chris, honestly your videos are getting better and better, you put more and more of yourself in them and it is really something that we (viewers) we can feel and I personaly enjoy that. The fact that you share so much more than just tuto. I'll buy that book cause it seems really interesting, even tho I have never learnt a trick from a book. I wonder how it works, but since you gave your word I'll trust you and give it a shot. Thanks again man. Peace out

But most importantly, your passion and respect for magic is very clear to see. I'm 18 and just starting out but with the aid of books and motivation from people like yourself, I hope to, one day, become a full time magician. There needs to be more magicians like you in the world; thank you and keep up the great work Chris! :D

I'd just like to say I love your videos and you are by far my favourite KZheadr and the fact that you are not only teaching method but also where the trick comes from and where to find more I strongly agree with that it's a brilliant thing to do so thank you because now lots of people will be able to get a foot hold in magic.

Skimming over information at 30,000 feet, never diving in, getting into the weeds of the thing, just doesn't work. I am loving the way that the new generation of magicians are putting nice little touches, twists and wrinkles to some of these old effects. Expert Card Technique is worth the read, just for the history and some of the amazing principles that people created during the hey day of playing cards. Thanks Mike
