Man, the game has come a long way, remember playing the first iterations as a kid after a classmate showed it to me. You could siege a single castle if I remember correctly, by siege I mean bumrush with a bunch of plebs, and even that was jank as hell. Gosh, good times.

I remember they announced they making Bannerlord when iam still in Middle school 13 yo to be precise and now iam already 19 and this hasn't came out 👍👍
It is because they announced it when they just started to make the game then few years later they decided to change the engine and write a new one so they started again from begining!! If we also consider that Taleworlds is a small company the time is completely normal, it was just their stupiditiy announcing it so early. I hope it will be out in late 2019 or early 2020, i can even wait longer due i know it will be a good game rather than a disaster such as FO 76...

new to mount and blade and my god am i in love. i really hope they continue the series.
Most of my mount & blade: Warband experience has been using a group of 40 mamlukes to obliterate groups of more than 300 enemy's, as long as i could get at least 20 mamlukes onto the battleground at once, the enemy was nothing more than walking experience points.
Bannerlord still doesn't have a release date :(
Very late 2019 or first half of 2020, they aren't announcing it due they don't want to announce 2020 while they could finish in 2019 or announce 2019 then fail to release the game. We will learn which one around June-July i guess. They could release it even today as a disaster similar to FO 76 but Taleworlds isn't Bethesda which literally tries to swindle players...

I love playing Warband, but the lack of life in the environments and the engine in general make me have to constantly look the other way. It reminds me of Elder Scrolls games, in that they're really fun if you ignore the animations, AI, writing, voiceover, glitches etc... . Wearing my giant headphones through this video, then all of a sudden the Bannerlord footage come on, it's like seeing all the things i have to pretend in my head when i play M&B, but the engine is actually manifesting them before my very eyes! Its frekkin amazing, the music, the sound, the effects. Heck, even the animations look redone - walking indoors, not running everywhere! lol! And the engine seems like it's a bit better at hiding any glitches and mishaps compared to the old engine, which makes everything glaringly apparent with how empty and devoid of life the gameworld and battles are. I hate that gaming has always been a choice between mental or sensory immersion. I want both!

I would have agreed if you were talking about base mount and blade, but you are talking about warband here.
Yes There is a huge gap between their latest game and the one before I need something to ease me in and a game that doesn't require so much graphics
To be fair Warband still has better movement animations than any Elder Scrolls game.

Yeah, this vid did a bad job at showing the games main aspect. Custom line battles is mostly broken, but there is a fairly strong community of Napoleonic War lovers who keep the servers fresh and versatile (However we did lose a couple servers like Napoleonic role play :(, f in the chat for that).

Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord should be ported to eighth consoles but I doubt that, one can only hope.

With fire and sword always felt really hastily made to me, probably why I never liked it as much.
