The Secret To Putting ANY SUSPENSION Into ANY CAR!
In this video we make MASSIVE progress on the Drift Truck! First, we get the front frame 100% bare, clean, and ready for fabrication. Then, we make a suspension jig off Hunter's 240SX S13 and transfer that jig into the Drift Truck's chassis. This will allow us to accurately fabricate a tube frame around the jig. Once that is done, we can bolt 240SX suspension into the truck!

Somebody needs to gift him a cnc or a mill
@@jonathan24seda funnily enough I have a second mill and a second baby lathe. They aren’t for sale, but for the right number lol
@@jonathan24seda $10,000 no problem.
@@ragegamingvideosify how the fuck is that funny at all ? Is this a joke to you
@@harryfp1494 me selling my tools? What are you talking about?
man this thing is gonna look freaking wicked with that tube chassis!
Yeah I’m super excited for this one
It will look the same 😒 the truck was ok, His driving needs 15 yrs worth or work!!!
@@jasonpetrich4141 obviously but seat time and having a properly setup drift truck will help
@@jasonpetrich4141 it really doesnt take that long to learn, youre just tossing out that number to be an asshole.
Cant believe you didnt say "the jig is up"
You have no idea how much I wanted to hear him say "Finally, the jig is up" when he had it welded into the car.
I'm glad I'm not the only one
All this jig work on a 240 made me feel like I was watching prizzamike lol
Your production quality is top notch. Here's to hoping for 1 Million+ subscribers in 2023!!
4:15 Honestly impressed with how unmolested that S13 is, not a single mod, even the pinch weld in the front wheel well is perfect, everyone hammers that pinch weld down for wheel clearance, so I've never seen it in pristine condition before
Right!? So much potential
this, and the pignose bumper small grills, everyone removes those to either cut it there, or they just got lost years ago
@@_Gingium_ Is that a hint that something's coming up with the S13?👀
Looks good, you should get a digital level so you can see the actual angle instead of guessing with the bubble. Keep up the great work
Haven’t watched one of your videos in a long time. I’m super impressed with the production quality on your videos now, this felt way more professional than I was ever expecting. Good shit
love that you work in metric. im an engineer by training and whenever im forced to use inches and fractions it gives me a headache. my brain still thinks in inches and feet though lol
I'm glad you didn't stop the video after you made the jig.
Man you have no idea how this helps out a lot of people around the world man, and speaking in metrics 😂 Liked and subscribed!
I love this series so much. He killed it the first time and is about to make a legendary build again.
It is criminal the amount of subs VS quality of contentious content that comes from this channel! There's 20M subscriber channels out there that don't even do a fraction of quality work compared to what goes into these videos and projects. Straight criminal!

Am I the only one who is getting a heartattack when he ist cutting with gloves... Still love your content keep it Up☺️
Gingium is one of not just the best car enthusiast but one the dopest dudes ever to exist, what living legand. I am not just inspired but also educated in so many ways after your videos. Thanks for all your content and everything man honestly I look forward to what the future has in store
Watched every video for the past 3 years. I’m from the uk and I have loved every video!! I want this channel to go big, he deserves it
God, I get such a kick out of watching gingiums builds, his videos and skills as a builder/fabricator just keep getting better and better over the years
Let's go baby. Been waiting for this video. Kinds crazy last time we helped ya get metal now getting it on your own. We needs to get together bro for sure.
Really missed a good opportunity to say "The jig is up" when you got it bolted into the truck. This is an awesome build, always though about doing something similar, look forward to seeing it get done.
Ging, metal worker here. Larger companies can leverage buying power and those 5 lengths would cost my company less than half. Food for thought.
Loving the videos, and the fact that S-chassis people will be quietly boiling over at the tension rods being called trailing arms. Keep up the great work!
It may be a little thing, but I love when people use PPE in their videos, thanks for posting this awesome video
honestly I've been watching you religiously since you started the rally miata and you're always keeping the content as good or better, figured its about time to sub to the patreon. I appreciate your work man as a fabricator-in-training I aspire to build custom cars like you some day!

Seing someone who knows what theyre doing and doing it well makes projects like these seem obtainable. Thanks for your work man
I'm wondering if you verified that your 240 chassis is true before you used it as a reference for your jig? 25+ year old chassis might have experienced an incident or two along it's journey to you. When you leveled both vehicles, what reference points did you use to verify that they were level?
This channel is ridiculously underrated. I hope you hit 1 mil in 2023 ging.
Your way of coming up with a jig to adapt the suspension is so cool! I am definitely going to keep that in mind for my project SXS using subaru parts.
Just discovered your channel! Im swapping a 5th gen camaro irs into my 69 gto and was checking out how different people went about similar things. This here was the smartest thing ive found by far. Pretty slick dude, pretty slick.
This channel is just getting better and better! Always stoked whenever you upload a new video!
Not saying “the jig is up” at 18:19 was kind of upsetting I’m not gonna lie. You still earned the like though as always
You're probably planning to, but if not I'd highly recommend radiusing or angling the ends of the frame notches when you box them back in -- those right angles would leave you with gnarly stress concentrations
Would love to see another truck build after this one.
Gingium got an engineer degree 📜 from experience nice 👍🏼
You could prob sell those s13 suspension jigs or at least all of the files for making one.
It's probably already been said, but the two things I noticed that could help next time are RV LEVELING JACK STANDS (they are threaded), and a SEAMSTRESS TAPE for some of the measuring. I love the video. I can't wait for more.
Wow, use of the metric system! Makes me happy for you, must be so much easier.
Maaaan, i love the drift truck and these FABium videos are my favorite you make. Been loving the channel for years but i like you videos more and more as time goes on, usually the opposite of what tends to happen with youtubers and their audience. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say you just keep getting better and better at this
Roofing shingles make excellent shims under jack stands.
You never cease to out out top quality automotive content!
man you so missed the opportunity "the jig is up" at about 19 min in lol... looking good
Honestly impressed with how clean everything on the B2200 still is. It's a 30 year old Japanese utility vehicle with the rust protection of the average 30 year old Japanese utility vehicle, but the frame is still in very good condition and the underside of the cab looked almost as new when you removed it in an earlier video.
just wanted to say, it is just amazing to watch these video's. so many small details and cuts, makes it really nice to watch! it also is very interesting, keep up the good work! I watched all your Volvo video's, but all your video's are sick, subscribed ;)
Seeing your evolution is amazing. Can't wait to see this truck done again!
This channel is gold
Happy holidays man! Really enjoying the work you're doing since you've got the new shop!

Really cool. Your work ethic always blows me away.
Minor correction. Those couplers don't allow the tube to cage to retain its full strength, however they are quite handy. It really depends how they are oriented and where are you expecting loading from. In the event of a crash, if the fasteners are heavily loaded in shear, you may have a roll cage failure. This is why the faces should always be oriented in a way that the flange of the disconnect is bearing the load and not the fastener itself (fastener would primarily be in tension or compression in this orientation). They are extremely convenient though. Would recommended using the interlocking variant where possible. Great video, thoroughly enjoyed the content!
I try not to miss any episode, but I almost forgot to watch this one.

Sick intro. The welding showing through the gingium logo was epic
An American using metric measurements.. I'm impressed!
The guy who said he wanted to see his 240 run again watching it get dismantled even more: 😐
Worst part is, that guy was in Hawaii on his honeymoon when we did all of that to his car 😉🤣
Plasma cutters are soo cool! It’s mesmerizing to watch it turn a sheet of metal into cool little parts
Taking all the necessary precautions yields the best results 🙌

Love the content Gingium 😊 Quick note, please consider investing in some safety shoes when working in the shop, they are not the most comfortable thing in the world but seeing things always hit the floor inches from your feet is somewhat discomforting 😬
Oh i cant wait for the next part love these kinds of builds

When you are ready to up your game, take a road trip to Ariel Atom in South Boston, VA. Get into modifying those and you will become a world class designer. You are totally talented enough, and tooled up to do such a thing. Get in to super cars. and Ariel is local, meaning 2 states away... I'm sure they would be open to working with an innovator like yourself.
Be safe in your travels. Merry Christmas. I'm originally from Danville il retired in Florida. Can't take the cold anymore. Working on cars in the Midwest in the winter sucks

So happy the front suspension on the truck is getting re-done 👏

Good stuff!
Isn’t that putting a lot of faith that the body panels are symmetric and then mounted exactly the same?
I would love to see you guys turn my 1986 Audi 4000 S into a sleeper!
I need to borrow that jig when you are done with it! building a Datsun 510 that utilizes 240 suspension.
Caleb there called tension rod brackets not trailing arm brackets as they would be behind the subframe where as the tension rods are in front of the subframe. And please don't think I'm trying to be nasty I'm not just trying to add to your knowledge base dude
Thank you! I had a hunch it was the wrong name but never knew the correct one!
