  • I really try not to be bitter and just move on + be happy for the girls but yg is a menace for holding them back. you can have your own opinion but its sad that it took seven years and creating a new record label from scratch to pursue more experimental music and start collabing with other artists. I really am not a fan of how yg manages their artists music, it's a shame it took this long for things to get better for the girls. this song is amazing and most importantly, it was not what I expected at all. there was a surprise factor and I love that

    • Yeah I can totally get behind you with that, man! I just hope that they continue to do what they like and in the way that they like. Jennie had a stage with Lee Hyori about 2 or 3 months ago on her show I think now and that shit was SO HEAVENLY and it really made me question then like...where has this voice been and why hasn't she been able to show it? Also to just have 'Solo' really next to her name and along with the other girls just like 'one chance' to show themselves and they were all so YG coded solos - idk, it just makes me really excited for their futures and I can't wait to see what type of music they keep making man! Brilliant song and definitely one of my favourites on first listen this year

    • @@LKTVLKTV absolutely! i am convinced that all four of them are going to really venture out into new sounds and genres this year for their solo music and then comeback as blackpink next year. they deserve the opportunity to explore and it’s very long overdue at this point. they’re no longer solo artists under yg and don’t have to create music that follows the yg sound anymore, i can’t wait to see how they grow as artists moving forward

    • i understand, but also try to remember although 7 years is a while to not hear much of their potential, it's not the end of the career, it's also a short time - so try not to be too bitter. it's just the start and they have sooo much time to show us more, they'll still be relevant and with the status they have accumulated now - it makes it even better for them to show off their talents and have even more people and a bigger audience see it. ppl that have doubted them will get proved wrong time and time again, and tbh it's just going to create a great reigning and dominating era for blackpink. i look forward to their future.
