I agree, We need a Season that adds the In-World Vehicle Jetski, and a Universal Rhib Boat, with the RU and US having their own Attack Boats. Excluding the Jetski of course, it would be 3 New Vehicles, which for this game is more than we've gotten, but it's a necessity if they keep updating this game imo. I would LOVE to see a Water Map and Paracel Storm if they did do this, btw.

Bf4 has this feature already, SINCE HIS RELEASE... its called "adaptive" camo, in which u can choose from several patterns and the game adapt them AUTOMATICALLY for every map due to main colors palette from them

I have been thinking about that exact same thing for months now. In my opinion there should be like 3 types of outfits depending on the weather conditions of the map. "Cold" for freezing temperatures/snow enviroment, "Standard" for regular temperatures and "Warm" for maps with significant heat. If not that then ALTEAST like you said, just separate snow skins from the rest. It looks ridiculous to run with snow skins on Hourglass or Renewal for example.

Bro they already stopped working on this game, No doubt they fixed the game and is more fun and playable then when it was released, the cherry on top is the class system. But the lack of content Maps, guns (compared to previous BF titles) are clear indication that they are just serving us the the plate we legally deserved, plus they wanted to remove the negative marketing they got with Battlefield 2042's release. Cuz see portal map are remake of the maps from existing older battlefield titles if they can release 4maps per dlc and fix the game I am talking about battlefield 4, why they can't do the same with battlefield 2042? Because they stopped working on this game. Just my 2cents.

I really hope that they weren't being serious about Camila Blasco being the final specialist that they introduce into the game. I like seeing more varieties when it comes to specialists rather than seeing people commonly playing as the same specialists constantly throughout the team (for example massive amounts of people playing as Boris on the same team).

Yeah I don’t like the idea of specialist, but unless a remake the entire game, I think they’ve got to keep adding specialist to make the game feel realistic and not like a bunch of clones fighting each other

@@coleeckerman1390 I would've liked it if it was a case of both teams having their own version of each specialist (behave the exact same, but are just different characters depending on which team you're on if you know what I mean). The main issue prior to the introduction of the class system, really, was that everyone would just play as Rao with an AA launcher so that stealth choppers couldn't do anything and now (with the class system) quite literally everyone runs around with only C-5s which is becoming a problematic issue because you can't use a single ground vehicle without people just becoming a kamakazi and taking themselves out with C-5s just to destroy your vehicle. Due to this it makes it pointless to use the Tracer Dartgun and Soflam gadgets since no one uses rocket launches other than Lis' launcher and choppers and jets are just free to do whatever they want now with almost no worries since Wildcats can't do anything with all of the people using C-5s. Also I should mention that Lis' remote-controlled launcher still sucks as much as it did prior to the class system introduction. I managed to hit a jet with full health with it and it didn't get shot down in one hit. I feel like her launcher should be changed to where it deals massive damage on direct hits(insta-kill on aircrafts, but the transport vehicles like the condor take two hits) or you can choose to make the rocket detonate early to deal splash damage that deals a lot less damage than normal, but has an easier time landing a hit. Like the little amount of vehicle damage it does plus it only has 2 rockets for it at any given time where both rockets take like 60 seconds just to recharge/refill each is just rediculous with the amount of health a vehicle can repair with the repair system upgrade.

Decided to give 2042 a try this week and I gotta say, it’s been a blast. Much improved from launch. Still have a few issues with it but overall it had a big turn for the better. Hope you guys can give the game another few years of support to make it even better.

I'm having a good time, have fully completed the battlepass and done all the challenges, but there's still so much left to do. Just a small ask? Would love to be able to reset all weapons to default in the plus system. I like to just have 2 attachments (scopes for example) makes for quicker selections than having three. Or simply bring able to delete a slot. Anyway great content and the game is in good place imo 👌

Installed BF2042 around launch day and uninstalled it within a few days, it was rough. Reinstalled it about a month ago and now it's my go-to multiplayer game, as BF installments always have been for me. Keep up the good work.

DICE, you've done good. Now all we need is that Sweet Content. Your commitment has saved this game after it reached sub 1,000 Players. The Average Playerbase on Steam recently was almost as good as Season 1's Launch Playercount and we're at the end of a Season. Keep going, bring this game further back, add more, fix what's left and end it on a high note, with a Season 8 at least and for Battlefield Next... start off where 2042 left off, but even better (and with a Server Browser please.) The listening to the community was Step 1, Step 2 is now in order, and that's to add more Content like Weapons, Vehicles and Maps, though I'd say prioritize Vehicles (preferably Water Vehicles) and Maps and then you can obtain Step 3: Profit and some Trust. I still won't be buying Battlefield Next at Launch, but if the next one IS good, I will 100% be buying that Special Edition after Launch. Continue listening, faster Content rollout, that's 95% of what's left for you to do.

It's really cool how they've designed points which different types of play in mind so we know where to go with we want that type of gameplay. There's been plenty of times in BF games where I've gone to points feeling like I can't do anything because of my kit.

Props to the devs for all the work going into 2042 - game is great, and this is all so great to hear. Salvage yard is going to make Discarded amazing, but Hourglass is one of my favorites in theme and vibe and can't wait to see what's in store for it. (Holding out forever for a BF4 call back levolution with a collapsible highrise with aid from a dust devil🌪) I want a season 6 with enhanced weather effects and polish in an attempt to push this game to its limits SO BADLY, because 2042 genuinely has the ability to do so well with all the hard work they've been putting into it. Seriously adore it, and always gets me hyped to see what's coming next.

Honestly, it looks like a lot of fun. Jumped in the start of Season 3 (first time back since Launch), and I'm honestly enjoying myself. It's honestly surprising how different the game feels. When I first played the beta, it felt like BF4, but... something was off, I couldn't really tell what. It could have been the bugs or something else, but now I don't feel that weird feeling anymore, I'm surprised that this will be the season where we get our last specialist, though I'm guess that support will be ending after season 5, which sounds cool by the way. It's kind of a shame, really, if that's the case, but like BF5, this game has potential. But if there is a new Battlefield, please.... please take your time with it, we don't need another failure at launch and then get the hint of a great game when it's about to have its support cut off. Another thing is that I'd have loved to have seen Portal get some attention, that too had potential, combining all the Battlefield games together would have been fun, BF1 possible going up against 2142, could have been really cool.

Why not add passing time to all the maps, so that after a while it gets dark, so weapon lights are now useful. Make it random, so missions can start in the dark and daylight at the end, or even only day time, or only night time. Add rain and fog like the tornados that come and go.

You should give the option to choose a map version. Completely different genre but when you play Fall Guys, you never know which variation of a map you get, and that's more dynamic and force the player to adapt, but if you want players to be able to know the map well in advance, then you are punishing those players by altering maps that they are used to, and also what your development team thinks is an improvment might not be for another player. At least in custom mode, the possibility to play different versions of a same map would only enrich your videogame and profit on work that is already done instead of constantly deleting it, like auto-thrashing the creativity of your designers.

I think having a new map like Metro would be a very good idea, maybe an underground situation with rooms and hallways to go down, for more close combat amd infatry gameplay and then maybve an outside part for vehicle gameplay

I hope that when they say that this is the final specialist that it means that the entire specialist system goes away. And gets replaced with a normal class based system with the specialist gadgets being just normal class based gadgets. And the characters turned into skins instead.

NGL it is rather sad to hear there will be no more Specialists added to the game. At least another Assault and Engineer so there are 4 of each. Only hope at this point is that DICE keeps this game fresh until the next BF release.

Long time a battlefield player here 👋🙏 please give us those epic battles again. The feeling of the fight was like no other when. Bf3 did this very well with operation metro and a few others of course. With 2042, the engine, the feels the looks. Its a solid game. If Dice focuses on giving their players more and more options. Players like to have options, lots of guns/camos/ custom features are a bonus, and maybe some more depth in the progression system would help. Among many more things. Give us ways to express and create our strategies on the battlefield. All in all, this is still my favorite battlefield title yet

You need to add another operator to engineer and medic and then have two operators divided between teams per class so both teams have more distinct looks and benefits to each side, way more interesting than having armies with zero identity

Desde que empezaron con las temporadas han mejorado bastante el juego, ahora esta muy bueno(como deberia haber sido) y el contenido que viene con la Temporada 4 y el posible nuevo mapa de la Temporada 5, me encanta. El unico miedo que tengo es que dejen de sacar contenido despues de la temporada 5, no quiero que a 2042 le pase lo mismo que a Battlefield V, sale mal y cuando se esta recuperando y apunto de alcanzar su maximo potencial, de la nada, cancelan contenido y se van al siguiente proyecto, no quiero que le pase eso a 2042, espero que sigan sacando temporadas, minimo hasta llegar a una temporada 9 o 12 y como hemos ido, que cada una venga con un mapa y vehiculos+armas. Para finalizar, seria bueno que metieran mapas como Paracel Storm de Battlefield 4 o Tormenta del Pacifico de Battlefield V, basicamente batallas semi-navales, con algun vehiculo como el Bote que habia en Battlefield 4 o similar, ademas de que le daria mucho más sentido a la utilidad del MAV de 2042, el cual es un maldito vehiculo anfibio, pero que actualmente no tiene una costa en la cual desembarcar, sin más que decir, ojala sigan asi y no dejen morir el juego.

Why doesn't DICE add such an opportunity to change sights, etc. on the barrel by adding the CONFIGURATION tab so that when you press T you can not only change sights, magazines, barrels. But so that you can also save their locations so that, for example, from a long-range AS-SHAFT, you can quickly switch to melee/medium combat, and then when you press T, you need to read the description of this or that magazine, barrel, handle. And so quickly in two clicks you go to the saved configuration that you need right now.

I agree, We need a Season that adds the In-World Vehicle Jetski, and a Universal Rhib Boat, with the RU and US having their own Attack Boats. Excluding the Jetski of course, it would be 3 New Vehicles, which for this game is more than we've gotten, but it's a necessity if they keep updating this game imo. I would LOVE to see a Water Map and Paracel Storm if they did do this, btw.

Bf4 has this feature already, SINCE HIS RELEASE... its called "adaptive" camo, in which u can choose from several patterns and the game adapt them AUTOMATICALLY for every map due to main colors palette from them

I have been thinking about that exact same thing for months now. In my opinion there should be like 3 types of outfits depending on the weather conditions of the map. "Cold" for freezing temperatures/snow enviroment, "Standard" for regular temperatures and "Warm" for maps with significant heat. If not that then ALTEAST like you said, just separate snow skins from the rest. It looks ridiculous to run with snow skins on Hourglass or Renewal for example.

Since BF4 is turning 10 this year, imagine a special event or something in the game or Portal where lots of maps, weapons and stuff from BF4 returning to BF2042 to play and celebrate BF4's 10th Anniversary.

Bro they already stopped working on this game, No doubt they fixed the game and is more fun and playable then when it was released, the cherry on top is the class system. But the lack of content Maps, guns (compared to previous BF titles) are clear indication that they are just serving us the the plate we legally deserved, plus they wanted to remove the negative marketing they got with Battlefield 2042's release. Cuz see portal map are remake of the maps from existing older battlefield titles if they can release 4maps per dlc and fix the game I am talking about battlefield 4, why they can't do the same with battlefield 2042? Because they stopped working on this game. Just my 2cents.

I really hope that they weren't being serious about Camila Blasco being the final specialist that they introduce into the game. I like seeing more varieties when it comes to specialists rather than seeing people commonly playing as the same specialists constantly throughout the team (for example massive amounts of people playing as Boris on the same team).

Yeah I don’t like the idea of specialist, but unless a remake the entire game, I think they’ve got to keep adding specialist to make the game feel realistic and not like a bunch of clones fighting each other
@@coleeckerman1390 I would've liked it if it was a case of both teams having their own version of each specialist (behave the exact same, but are just different characters depending on which team you're on if you know what I mean). The main issue prior to the introduction of the class system, really, was that everyone would just play as Rao with an AA launcher so that stealth choppers couldn't do anything and now (with the class system) quite literally everyone runs around with only C-5s which is becoming a problematic issue because you can't use a single ground vehicle without people just becoming a kamakazi and taking themselves out with C-5s just to destroy your vehicle. Due to this it makes it pointless to use the Tracer Dartgun and Soflam gadgets since no one uses rocket launches other than Lis' launcher and choppers and jets are just free to do whatever they want now with almost no worries since Wildcats can't do anything with all of the people using C-5s. Also I should mention that Lis' remote-controlled launcher still sucks as much as it did prior to the class system introduction. I managed to hit a jet with full health with it and it didn't get shot down in one hit. I feel like her launcher should be changed to where it deals massive damage on direct hits(insta-kill on aircrafts, but the transport vehicles like the condor take two hits) or you can choose to make the rocket detonate early to deal splash damage that deals a lot less damage than normal, but has an easier time landing a hit. Like the little amount of vehicle damage it does plus it only has 2 rockets for it at any given time where both rockets take like 60 seconds just to recharge/refill each is just rediculous with the amount of health a vehicle can repair with the repair system upgrade.
honestly i am fine with it, after handheld tv rocket and second turret it becomes hard to balance the game, imagine if we get like a morter or ucav specialist...
Now they can focus on making other things better.
Decided to give 2042 a try this week and I gotta say, it’s been a blast. Much improved from launch. Still have a few issues with it but overall it had a big turn for the better. Hope you guys can give the game another few years of support to make it even better.
Agreed. Played it the other day for the first time since it launched and it’s like a whole other game. They’ve certainly done well to improve it, hope it continues.
Hopefully we see this game get supported for longer with all of the work they have done. My only complaint now is the XP and 1000% damage servers clogging up portal.
They should add Metro to Portal and i think it would save the gamemode

Played on a 200% 128 infantry only server yesterday. Was an absolute blast. One tapping people from long range with an AR is so satisfying.

I'm having a good time, have fully completed the battlepass and done all the challenges, but there's still so much left to do. Just a small ask? Would love to be able to reset all weapons to default in the plus system. I like to just have 2 attachments (scopes for example) makes for quicker selections than having three. Or simply bring able to delete a slot. Anyway great content and the game is in good place imo 👌

Installed BF2042 around launch day and uninstalled it within a few days, it was rough. Reinstalled it about a month ago and now it's my go-to multiplayer game, as BF installments always have been for me. Keep up the good work.

The Average Playerbase on Steam recently was almost as good as Season 1's Launch Playercount and we're at the end of a Season. Keep going, bring this game further back, add more, fix what's left and end it on a high note, with a Season 8 at least and for Battlefield Next... start off where 2042 left off, but even better (and with a Server Browser please.) The listening to the community was Step 1, Step 2 is now in order, and that's to add more Content like Weapons, Vehicles and Maps, though I'd say prioritize Vehicles (preferably Water Vehicles) and Maps and then you can obtain Step 3: Profit and some Trust. I still won't be buying Battlefield Next at Launch, but if the next one IS good, I will 100% be buying that Special Edition after Launch. Continue listening, faster Content rollout, that's 95% of what's left for you to do.

I played last night and for some reason it felt so good so smooth, better than ever not sure if there has been a small update over night but, I loved how smooth my character felt! Love this game!
It's really cool how they've designed points which different types of play in mind so we know where to go with we want that type of gameplay. There's been plenty of times in BF games where I've gone to points feeling like I can't do anything because of my kit.
I am glad that you are working on the game and didn't just cut it off and made a new one. But please please add more urban maps, open maps are fine as long as they have cover and all of it, but something about urban warfare is exciting and gives you that feeling of true war.
It's easier to just recycle same desert map on and on...
I would love a map like either dawnbreaker or seine crossing or even something like Amiens

Props to the devs for all the work going into 2042 - game is great, and this is all so great to hear. Salvage yard is going to make Discarded amazing, but Hourglass is one of my favorites in theme and vibe and can't wait to see what's in store for it. (Holding out forever for a BF4 call back levolution with a collapsible highrise with aid from a dust devil🌪) I want a season 6 with enhanced weather effects and polish in an attempt to push this game to its limits SO BADLY, because 2042 genuinely has the ability to do so well with all the hard work they've been putting into it. Seriously adore it, and always gets me hyped to see what's coming next.

Is anyone else having issues with the soldiers not giving any in combat yelling/commands? It's so quiet when I play, and the one thing I have always loved about Battlefield is the immersive in game chaotic yelling.
My guy always is shouting out commands, maybe it’s the character your playing. Casper is one of the more silent ones
Honestly, it looks like a lot of fun. Jumped in the start of Season 3 (first time back since Launch), and I'm honestly enjoying myself. It's honestly surprising how different the game feels. When I first played the beta, it felt like BF4, but... something was off, I couldn't really tell what. It could have been the bugs or something else, but now I don't feel that weird feeling anymore, I'm surprised that this will be the season where we get our last specialist, though I'm guess that support will be ending after season 5, which sounds cool by the way. It's kind of a shame, really, if that's the case, but like BF5, this game has potential. But if there is a new Battlefield, please.... please take your time with it, we don't need another failure at launch and then get the hint of a great game when it's about to have its support cut off. Another thing is that I'd have loved to have seen Portal get some attention, that too had potential, combining all the Battlefield games together would have been fun, BF1 possible going up against 2142, could have been really cool.

Good job, Devs ! Don't drop the support . The game starts to shape its own identity. There is a lot of work that must be done, but at least now it starts to feel like a battlefield game .
I’ve been with the game since beta, and racked up more time than I did in BF1 since then (over double!). The game has grown so much over that time, and seeing the continued support for the game is a godsend. Thanks you guys!

I have been playing this game since the public beta. And haven't stopped since. I am sad to know that this is the last specialist to be added. Would be nice to have some more specialists down the line.

Why not add passing time to all the maps, so that after a while it gets dark, so weapon lights are now useful. Make it random, so missions can start in the dark and daylight at the end, or even only day time, or only night time. Add rain and fog like the tornados that come and go.
You should give the option to choose a map version. Completely different genre but when you play Fall Guys, you never know which variation of a map you get, and that's more dynamic and force the player to adapt, but if you want players to be able to know the map well in advance, then you are punishing those players by altering maps that they are used to, and also what your development team thinks is an improvment might not be for another player. At least in custom mode, the possibility to play different versions of a same map would only enrich your videogame and profit on work that is already done instead of constantly deleting it, like auto-thrashing the creativity of your designers.
Best dev updated so far, best season so far, I’m just glad they stuck with this game. It’s my fav battlefield game and even tho season 5 is confirmed I hope we could get a season 6 for some more bonus content now that they spent most of the early seasons adding classes and balancing everything 🔥🔥💪🏽

This game is simply fantastic now, I'm so glad that this game is being supported and we're getting more seasons. My favourite Battlefield game so far.

I think having a new map like Metro would be a very good idea, maybe an underground situation with rooms and hallways to go down, for more close combat amd infatry gameplay and then maybve an outside part for vehicle gameplay
The game is really looking strong now, this is what it should have been since the beginning. Hope to see more support past season 5, the setting of this game is the best it can be for a BF game in my opinion.

I hope that when they say that this is the final specialist that it means that the entire specialist system goes away. And gets replaced with a normal class based system with the specialist gadgets being just normal class based gadgets. And the characters turned into skins instead.
I feel like we should at least customize and level up vault weapons imo I don’t consider those “new weapons” just old ones remastered. Or if anything actually ADD more weapons.

It's too late. The damage was done, and their practically bleeding money on this game. It's Free to play on PS now. Meaning they are relying on MicroTransactions to support the game. Expect the end of support soon, because it ended fast with BFV, which ended after the Japan update
Why don't battlefield just reuse biomes and assets like the pacific dlc and bf4 final stand then we can have like two maps per season still waiting for hourglass rework to return to the game.

NGL it is rather sad to hear there will be no more Specialists added to the game. At least another Assault and Engineer so there are 4 of each. Only hope at this point is that DICE keeps this game fresh until the next BF release.
Long time a battlefield player here 👋🙏 please give us those epic battles again. The feeling of the fight was like no other when. Bf3 did this very well with operation metro and a few others of course. With 2042, the engine, the feels the looks. Its a solid game. If Dice focuses on giving their players more and more options. Players like to have options, lots of guns/camos/ custom features are a bonus, and maybe some more depth in the progression system would help. Among many more things. Give us ways to express and create our strategies on the battlefield. All in all, this is still my favorite battlefield title yet

Yeah. This is why i thought bringing in classes now after a year is just useless.
Engineer mines: I would love to see an option to carry more tank mines. Or a class ability to know if your mines have been destroyed. Or anti air mines. For low flying air vehicles.

You need to add another operator to engineer and medic and then have two operators divided between teams per class so both teams have more distinct looks and benefits to each side, way more interesting than having armies with zero identity
What they should have done in the beginning, is the Battlefront route. Where you gain access to hero characters for performance. Which would fall in line with the internal lore of stateless mercenaries.
These reworks are insane. I'm still very depressed about the abandonment of Portal... and Firestorm... but the game looks like it's going to round off in a very good place. Thanks for not giving up on it.

Desde que empezaron con las temporadas han mejorado bastante el juego, ahora esta muy bueno(como deberia haber sido) y el contenido que viene con la Temporada 4 y el posible nuevo mapa de la Temporada 5, me encanta. El unico miedo que tengo es que dejen de sacar contenido despues de la temporada 5, no quiero que a 2042 le pase lo mismo que a Battlefield V, sale mal y cuando se esta recuperando y apunto de alcanzar su maximo potencial, de la nada, cancelan contenido y se van al siguiente proyecto, no quiero que le pase eso a 2042, espero que sigan sacando temporadas, minimo hasta llegar a una temporada 9 o 12 y como hemos ido, que cada una venga con un mapa y vehiculos+armas. Para finalizar, seria bueno que metieran mapas como Paracel Storm de Battlefield 4 o Tormenta del Pacifico de Battlefield V, basicamente batallas semi-navales, con algun vehiculo como el Bote que habia en Battlefield 4 o similar, ademas de que le daria mucho más sentido a la utilidad del MAV de 2042, el cual es un maldito vehiculo anfibio, pero que actualmente no tiene una costa en la cual desembarcar, sin más que decir, ojala sigan asi y no dejen morir el juego.

The game is in a great state and the direction the development is now being shifted is solid. While the new season is shaping up nicely, hearing that this is the last operator coming to the game has me worried about future support for the game.

Improvements to voice-chat would really help this game. As of now communication via voice is inconsistent and doesn't lend itself to squad-play.
Why doesn't DICE add such an opportunity to change sights, etc. on the barrel by adding the CONFIGURATION tab so that when you press T you can not only change sights, magazines, barrels. But so that you can also save their locations so that, for example, from a long-range AS-SHAFT, you can quickly switch to melee/medium combat, and then when you press T, you need to read the description of this or that magazine, barrel, handle. And so quickly in two clicks you go to the saved configuration that you need right now.
i just replayed the whole of BF4's campaign and i'd really love to see a 2042 remix of the Kunlun Mountain prison map❤ keep it up guys!😊

Why can’t you equip a muzzle and a suppressor? Or a grip with a laser? There needs to be a muzzle category as well as a side rail category
All imma say battlefield.. if u keep supporting this game with more content, the players will come back. I just got back a couple days ago and I’m loving the game more and more. The reworks, the guns, the skins. All look really good! Keep it up guys, remember the people that love battlefield want to see this game grow :)
