Honestly, I’d be satisfied with just a Siri overhaul. HomePods are terrible for quick questions and in general it’s just not fast enough.
It's crazy that all that you really want is a Siri overhaul. Seems that you're satisfied having the same boring phone year after year.
1000% !!!! I would love it if I could control Apple TV using just the HomePod or iPhone using only Siri, but it’s so inconsistent and barley usable that I resort to not using it. Side note, but it would also be cool to run/ create automations using Siri only
@@TheFCBR80 Phones do what I need for them to do - I don’t need a design overhaul, I need things to work when I need them. What features would make phones less boring for you? At the end of the day it’s still going to be just a phone.
@@SleepyPossumsNO NO is not going to be JUST A PHONE. People use the Smartphones for MORE THINGS than just phone calling. So your entire premise is flawed. This is a portable computer and does much much more than just a Phone. If thats what you think it is then you do not need Siri AT ALL.
@@powerhouse884 I didn’t mean exclusively for phone calls… dear lord, I’m not living in 1990. Phones are a mature market. There’s little to improve upon besides camera, battery life, and marginal screen improvements. Software wise too - customization and Siri are the main drawbacks of iOS to me. What exactly are you asking for to suddenly make all phones magically “new” again?

Nah they won’t launch a new App Store for AI. They’ll just make a new section in the regular App Store. Siri needs something, she sucks.
iOS is so long overdue for a visual change. In the top of my list is that visual overhaul that would include the ability to resize and move the Lock Screen clock to better reveal the photo/background under it. Of course, second on the list is a significant upgrade to Siri that doesn’t compromise privacy (at least any more that absolutely necessary). Third would be RCS to iMessage.

Apple needs to make AI part of their UI- Not a separate app. The issue with all these chats bots is that you can't use it natively at all (unless windows 11 kinda). Have it just be a part of Siri, or in spotlight- and people Will actually use it

I want the ability to manually rearrange apps in the App Library! I have long clustered apps in group in home screen folders. The App Library SORT of does this, but not always & not in ways that matches MY logic!

I’d just like a completely new look to the Home Screen. By all means, let us move our apps all around the screens. While they’re at it, give options to what the apps look like(classic, existing, or some 3d looking ones)
Updated photos app and storage. I constantly screenshot/save picture’s, I already have. If apple could use ai to PRIVATELY search through photo albums, point out copies, and make it easy to delete any copies would be great. Avoiding unnecessary storage use.
Also making it easy to compress any photo/video without ANY QUALITY LOSS would help me avoid maxed out storage. They should make icloud storage FREE. Or the very least increase the percentage of storage per price plan would help out alot of people.

@@djdinobravo no need to do anything so drastic. You can use an older iPhone, an iPod nano or even your Mac to record the calls. There are also apps you can download to record phone calls but it requires calling some other number first and then conferencing your party in. its clumsy IMHO by it works

iOS has had the same behaviour since it was called iPhone OS. Icons that look basically the same, just flatter and more stale (they've always been rectangles) that you can't move, put in custom places or take the name tags from out under them. I'm happy with the status bar as that's been perfected both on notch/island phones and homebutton phones. The animations are also great but iOS just needs more features and customisation. Sideloading, AI features (and no I don't mean Siri) and just more openness. Some guy mentioned RCS and we need to see that too. iOS is based off of FreeBSD/UNIX which is extremely user customisable and it's honestly impressive and not in a good way that Apple have managed to lock UNIX down so much.
What AI features do you even want if not Siri and some stuff in the premade apps?

The more i use iOS the more i realise it f**kin sucks balls! Really considering switching to andrioid. Like cmon apple, no split screen, you cant even paste phone number and edit it in keypad, no scheduled message… This is stuff that android fugured out ages ago

If AI is built in to apps, this only needs to be a category in the app store, not something entirely separate. Or am I missing something? If the Geico app didn't include an AI assistant one day and did the next, would they carry it in a different store? This wouldn't make sense.
Diffrence is if apples Siri was enhanced it couldn't just do the stuff say ChatGPT does which are better answers but it could answer questions about stuff in your individual apps.

@@philipmuller90 SURE but Separate App Store ?? Won't be any different then Mac, iOS have different App Store or compatible apps even the Apple Watch used to have its own App Store. I don't think this is such a big leap .. they will probably all just use the Appstore but have different sections. Don't the Vision pro also have their own app section and so on.

Only Siri needs updating. Siri needs to me more interactive, smarter, able to do more, open more apps and work with more apps, understand what you are asking better than the others. For the rest, the iPhone is good, especially now that it has USB-C.

I don’t need AI. I know it’s baked into the os, but I’m not interested in purposely using it. Yes I do use Siri, it’s handy, but I don’t use it to do anything more than asking Siri directions and play music. I have no interest in using it to compose messages or make photos. It’s really wasted on me.
