At the very least, use distilled water... Otherwise that glitter water's gonna change colors and mold. Ideally, oil should be used in glitter cases, not water. If your phone gets wet at all, that paper unicorn will get ruined, everything needs protective coating. Glitter should be placed inside glue, or use resin instead. Hot glue isn't strong enough to keep anything in place, should be using epoxy to glue and set instead - especially because it's not only permanent, but it's completely clear and flexible, which is needed on a phone case. You're better off buying a couple cheap clear thin silicone phone cases, and cutting one to fit the stencil shape, patiently and carefully with an exacto knife and ruler (you don't want any sharp, jagged, or crooked edges). Then line up the cut phone case inside of the full case, and mount it using a very very thin line of clear non-yellowing waterproof glue (once pressed down, the glue will flatten out & double in size), and have isopropyl alcohol or alcohol pads on hand to quickly wipe away any glue over spill before it has a chance to dry. Glue one side at a time, starting with the bottom, then the right, then left, using a credit card or small ruler to smooth out any air bubbles and/or even out areas not sufficiently covered in glue. Wipe all access glue with alcohol swabs, and allow to dry overnight. Then, next day, check that everything's dry, then proceed with adding glitter, especially the bigger pieces, inside from the open top inside the case. Make sure all glitter's at the very bottom of the case, and be careful not to let it move toward the top. Next, clean the top silicone pieces with alcohol and remove any glitter residue. Glue the top together just like the other three sides, but start from either the left or right, because you'll leave a little corner for last to squeeze the air out, before gluing it down. Make sure to smooth out the glue with a credit card, wipe any excess with alcohol swabs, and place something heavy on top while you allow it to dry overnight (should do this for all glued sides to ensure tight flat seal), and make sure it's sitting so that glitter doesn't move near the wet glue. Next day, make sure glue's dry, then use either a dull syringe if available, or a sewing needle, to poke a hole in the mounted silicone piece. If using a syringe, carefully inject a clear thin oil (non-food based) or distilled water inside the case, making sure to remove air bubbles from plunger first, and if need to refill, cover hole with finger and carefully reinsert thru same hole. Do not overfill. If you're using sewing needle for hole, make a bigger hole, and use a very thin stir stick straw to slowly funnel liquid inside case. Once done, push any air bubbles out thru the needle hole by rotating the air bubble near the hole and pressing down on the silicone piece on a flat hard surface. Finally, keep pressure on the hole to prevent liquid from coming out or air getting in, then seal hole with a dot of rapid dry clear epoxy or glue. Then, you can seal the case to prevent rupture by placing a thin line of epoxy or waterproof sealant gel glue, around the glued down sides. If placing any paper cut outs inside case, find the appropriate resin or clear glue (read label, or do test to make sure glue doesn't cause ink to bleed) to seal the back of the image inside the case, to protect it from the moisture that'll inevitably get inside your case. If you want a case done right, it takes time. If you choose to melt the plastic or silicone pieces instead, please look up professional resources and tutorials to guide you on how to do to this safely. Melting plastics causes gasses to release that can be toxic to breathe, and your flat iron will be completely ruined if you try to use it on a material significant enough to not burst inside your phone case... Like the plastic pieces shown in this video will surely do.
