I estimate explosion distance 500-800m. Flash powder charge during night can show the distance precisely by time of sound arrival

wow i have been waiting to see someone make a impact fused rocket! was only shotgun primer and ammonal? is that enough to initiate it?
The 12 gauge cartridge case itself has a hmtd detonator in it.
@@JW-zs9bk can you try making a 500g amt mortar shell with fins and impact fuse? just like the happy new year mortar but with tail and percussion head
@@KClO3 You can, but there is a risk that the firing pin will hit the primer when the shot is fired. You would have to move the firing pin to the rear of the projectile. Or put the safety bars near the firing pin, which are separated from the firing pin after the shot is fired.

When I watch this again, I realize how good idea the bottle cap is. Is this rocket nozzle less?
The design of the fuel and housing is the same as in past videos. The design with the cover is very cheap and you can easily find these components everywhere
@@JW-zs9bk what I did before was using marching plastic tubes that fit each other, then I glued core from armour piercing bullet on a shotgun primer and other complicated stuff haha, this is much simpler and easier. I would record and upload some of my tests but unfortunately the laws where I live are very strict and I would be taking a big risk with KZhead uploading
@@JW-zs9bk is it possible for you to repeat this rocket, with flash powder explosive and explode it at night, with the flash visible and time of sound arriving it would be possible to determine how far the rocket explodes

Interesting concept and I can't seem to find other vids about impact triggers on rockets like this. About how "safe" would you say this is? If the fuel grain was weak it barely fizzled out from the launch tube and hit the ground immediately in front of it, would it go off?
