My stepdad had two pugs, and one of them was just this hilarious little linebacker of a dog, with this massive neck and shoulders, and this comparatively tiny head...a collar would have popped right off over his head. He'd charge around like a nutter for a few hours a day but come 4pm he loved nothing more than squishing himself down the side of me on the chair and going to sleep until dinner time. Pugs LOVE food, so gotta be careful on feeding them and making sure they get enough walkies to stop them getting fat and becoming an even meater meatball. I miss Ted the Pug... he was awesome! Irresponsible breeders breed dogs with issues and that goes for ANY breed ..... i advise anyone that buys any puppy make sure you do your homework fist . find out what the specific breed you are interested in may genitically have problems with . themn find a reputable breeder that fully health tests BOTH parents and chooses carefully when breeding and hey presto you have healthy dogs . • I always feel so sad for pugs, they're sweet dogs but they can barely breathe most of the time. As someone who has breathing issues myself I can only imagine how it feels for them. I know someone who got one recently, except she got one that had been bred with a longer nosed dog. You wouldn't know looking at him, I wish it was more common practise.

  • This video really shows the huge difference it makes when dogs are introduced to grooming as puppies. Meatball was so chill! Charlie also did really well for a nervous old man! Also, I noticed that Meatball seems to be intact, so maybe in the future there will be a Meatball Jr! 🥰

  • Pugs shed all the time! And this is why I vacuum 2-3x a week! Infact, all of my pugs were extremely good at blowing their costs. I believe shedding is the worst of the breed. Since I no longer show, my current pup , Gemma is a chug from Colorado Pug Rescue. She looks more chi then pug, and is cautious like a chi but her real disposition is pug.
