  • "In East Africa we should have become united before we became independent before we became separate states". This brain is from another planet. Grandpa the problem is the people in charge now would not allow this happen, they would rather not want cede "their" thing, they look at one another with suspicion, they are demi gods in their own small countries, some are even parceling out their countries into smaller tribal units than a bigger a political federation. The Unity of East Africa is a far cry. You are spot on when you say "For a time being, quite frankly we must forget a possibility of a political merger in East Africa". This was in 1966 and there isn't one in sight now. Thanks for your efforts Rest in Power son of Africa Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere

  • Watching what Mwalimu Nyerere and that generation of African Leaders used to say in their interviews really helps me understand why they were able to lead our countries into independence, they were well-informed. Sadly, that is not always the case with our current leaders.

  • "... Unity is Strenght ..." In the System of Social Cohesion (Ufungamano wa Kijamii) that Mwalimu shaped and Tanzanians helped him to build, individuals don't suffer the "wars of structures" that reign in our Western democracies... Structures which day by day leave most of our citizens out of the play. He was undoubtedly a true Visionary... Cooperation instead of competition. . .

    • Does that sharp mind gives him credit for his move to Nationalise properties of peoples hard earned money and then not able to even maintain the possession. It would have been better to may be use tax regime and let the development take its course. Being neighbor to Kenya the monetary mess still exists when it comes to exchange rate and that was the effect of Nationalization. Few Locals are better off but the peoples are still in status quo if not worse. Kenya is still ahead due to their monetary and free enterprises regime.

  • During a dark new moon night in January 1964 I was a morse code operator in the British Army attached to the Kenyan African Rifles in Nairobi, after witnessing a tall Kikuyu freedom fight emerge from the forest around Mount Kenya and walking into the square outside Nairobi railway station. I was only 20 years old when I received a coded message from the Ark Royal aircraft carrier that a killer squad of Royal Marine assassins had landed on the beach at Dar es Salaam but not found Julius Nyerere at his usual residence. I sent that coded message to our robber baron's HQ in London, who had paid some muddle-class officers in the new Tanzanian Army to rebel, so that when their paid assassins had murdered the socialist teacher and first President of a so-called free government, which like every other so-called sovereign African nation is still repaying compound interest on their so-called foreign aid debts while economic-hit men from the British colony of America continue to invade and divide the African people, while their secret agents make sure that only greedy selfish tribal politicians are promoted to divide and rule tribal nations states which have been divided into colonial territories already, as explained by this man of God, who escaped with his life. I remain a witness to the evil of those feudal landlords and corrupt politicians and lawyers who are nothing but part of a criminal mafia, rather than a real democratic government on both sides of the Atlantic. My country where slave-owners ran highly profitable sugar and cotton and tea plantations, and became Tate and Lyle robber barons, who displayed their wealth before the poor back home in England just as they did when using the British Army and Navy to rule the world! Shame on my countrymen, for not doing what they will one day in the near future must do, to prevent the total destruction of every society built on profit and loss, rather than mutual aid and idealistic service in common with God's teachings within every know religious text. Amen.

    • Were you used in colonialism and later repented of that? How old are you now?

      @bygrace6578@bygrace657811 ай бұрын
    • @@bygrace6578 As noted above I was 20 in 1964 so now I am 79 years young! I have never grown old but learned how corrupt the British feudal class system was as a basis of dividing citizens into those who are overpaid for whatever work they have chosen to perform in order to be able to invest their surplus savings in support of whatever privately owned business operation may produce and advertise for sale with the motive of paying unequal wages to its workforce members and profits to those investors who do no physical work at all. That class of people demand to be able to afford life-styles and comforts simply by investing their inherited wealth, or being children of land-owing aristocrats or members of a family dynasty of whatever nature, whether brahmins in India or sheiks in Arabia: ie. capitalism's economic model depends upon societies being unfairly divided into rich and poor classes who borrow money from savings held by banks and pay interests on those loans to an even more powerful croup who have taken over the global role as money-lenders, from the average lucky muddle-class western citizen of the VIctorian Britis Empire, and other European military powers which invaded African nations and enslaved their people, destroying the sort of tribal systems, where kings and chiefs actually loved and cared for almost all members of their tribe. As for my involvement in a secret plot to murder the above first socialist president of Tanzania, I was a high-speed morse code operator in the Royal Corps of Signals, unlawfully told to sign a contract at the age of 18 years, during a 3 year apprenticeship (after being recruited to attend by my mother, in order to prevent my father taking me to live in Australia with him after their divorce because she knew she would not be allowed to have custody of me, as the adulterous person who was divorced by my father for committing adultery many times. However the crime I am referring to is that on my 18th birthday in 1962 I was not offered any legal advice that I did not have to sign a 12 year contract to serve the British empire overseas, if I did not want to. I was simply called into the company office by an adult sergeant major (without even a commissioned officer present) and told to sign that adult contract without being told I was free to find some other kind of civilian work, and leave that boys apprentice school that same day! I suppose you are right and I repented being tricked into serving a corrupt capitalist society, run by evil secret service agents, who betray the trust of ordinary uneducated you men, like me, at that time. Those who support a social system which must create a divided class system of rich and poor people; being those with sufficient surplus cash to invest, and those deliberately under-educated people like myself, at that time... who believe the lies that preserves the redundant privatised capitalist economic system, and are led by every BBC News programme and daily newspaper to join in the silly idea that members of a corrupt family dynasty from Germany (not Windsor, England) actually serve the common people, in some mysterious or divine way, rather than serving only themselves, and pretending that Britain has a democratic parliament; when they know that every elected politician must make an OATH OF ALLEGIANCE to the monarchy, and not say or do anything that might negatively affect their status and wealth> That legally-binding oath of allegiance is proof that Britain is a fascist state, where no politician is allowed to discuss the creation of a democratic republic. Now you may soon see that the Kings secret agents are about to replace the un-elected leader of the Tory Party, Rishi Sunak, with a Mossad paid secret service agent called Steer Calmer.... who has infiltrated and taken over the leadership of the New Labour Party. Those who control the so-called House of Commons have now simply got rid of MPs who have any morals of social conscience, and there is no political difference between the any political party in the UK who might win power in a gerry-mandered election system, which is first past the post, unlike any other democratic country in the world. It is time for the world to understand that Mao Yse Dung was correct when he said that during this Dark Age, the Piscean Age, at the end of Kali Yuga, all power still comes out of the barrel of a gun! This fact will end in the destruction of the capitalist economic system, because Russia and China have no other choice but to totally destroy the whole of Ukraine, whose people have been brain-washed into believing that both America and Britain are actually democratic countries, rather than run by criminal secret agents and Freemasons. I am proud to share the evil truth with others, that a criminal offense was committed by those who served only the financial interest of the British monarchy and its overpaid money-lending investors, running an fraudulent debt economy, otherwise known as a Ponzi scheme. Watch as the prices of houses falls over this year, and how the ex-slave running nations become bankrupt and suicidal or manic street murderers! It is the end time for end time politicians serving the current AXIS OF EVIL.... being the USA Israel and Ukraine.... seeking to benefit from the business of warfare, whose investors are trying to prevent the USA from having to declare itself bankrupt... but they will not succeed. Lord Mammon has had His Day, and the time has come for the Christ to return, HImself, along with all His previous disciples, like Jesus, Mohammad, Sankaracharya, and others, known and unknown, whose followers distorted and perverted their teachings to serve their own vanities: As the Bible says: VANITY VANITY ALL IS VANITY! Watch and wait, and fear not: all will be well, and all manner of things will be well.

    • @@cusmaancumar7356 plz try articulate these two aspects in common; (1) Dictatorship doesn't determine the underdevelopment or development of a Nation, (2) Staying for a longtime in power its not a true definition of Dictatorship. Grounds: (A) Take an instance of China, does their President Dictator or are the Citizens who Dictating him? Do u know how long does their President stay in power and definitely he is not about stepping down yet, since then. Now the qn is, "how do u say abt the growth of China today (which is a socialist country) ? Because its Ruler stayed and will stay for a long ( as u call yourself as Dictatorship) and is a socialist country(so as Tz) Absolutely u are wrong..! Another instance is Kenya, May you plz remind me, "how long does Mzee Jomo Kenyatta stayed in power? After attaining its independence becomes a capitalist Nation (which is one of your reason for progress). Its economy is ahead compared to other EAC member states. Do you think why? Since u said staying in power is a reason why the Nation is underdeveloped. There are too many instances.. But let's end up with Libya, may you plz remind me, after coup de'tate and Muammar Gaddaff take over how long does he stayed in power before overthrown and assassinated? Do you know the economic situation b4 his era, during his era and after his era? How abt Swaziland, is Mswat a Dictator? How abt UK, is Queen Elizabeth Dictator? Conclusion: Staying for a longtime in power is NOT Dictatorship. Staying in power for a longtime + Socialism is NOT the Reason for underdevelopment Plz come with Critical Reasons for ur arguments..!
