The return of Cam Rising, the depth at Virginia Tech and Georgia, and Lane Kiffin completely changing the game with the “Grove Bowl Games." Plus, the transfer portal opens and we hit the mailbag.

  • Greg, I did not know you had a brand new baby. Congratulations, you are one of my favorite voices in college football and I wish you and family the best. 🎉

    • Best DL and secondary in the country this year. That defensive roster might have 7-8 guys drafted in the first 3 rounds in 2025.

  • Am I crazy to think Oklahoma will have a better SEC opening season than Texas ? Even though I think Texas can go further in the playoffs this year. Roll Tide

  • spring games do give away what your team can look like but people take it waaaayy too seriously when it’s just a preview for the year to come. bowl games should be moved to the beginning of the year, as they will now be completely useless with all the NY6s now being used in the CFP since they agreed to expand the CFP.

    • I’m one of the people that enjoyed bowl season, some of the lower tier games were very entertaining.

    • @@D_Shep343 I mean sure the Mayo Bowl and the Potato Bowl and even the Armed Forces bowl that features one of the armed forces vs a texas school, they can provide great games and have provided great games. But in today’s world with no boundaries anymore, the portal window opens immediately once the regular season ends. and that means recruitment. It goes for the NIT in basketball as well as the exhibition end season tournaments in baseball too. it’s just sad that there’s no regulation anymore and the NCAA is double reactive to anything and everything willing to be passed or vetoed and the judges has denied all 3 cases of regulation of NIL, movement of the portal window and the gray area of tampering that goes on in high schools. the NCAA is toothless in the football world, the changes shouldn’t be across all sports and HAS to be changed immediately

    • @@GoatedAtNFS I’m not saying that there weren’t issues but I personally will miss the games of teams that never play on television unless they are a sacrificial lamb for one of the big boys. The bowl experience for those players cannot be measured in dollars. The only thing is everything boils down to dollars unfortunately.

  • Will Howard doesn't have to be CJ Stroud. All he has to do is go through his progression, get it to the playmakers in space, and have a plan when things break down. Honestly, just don't f*ck it up. That's where his experience comes in and why he'll be a major upgrade from Kyle McCord.

  • George Rush defense definitely needs to improve, but you didn’t say anything about the wide receivers Like the name of the video says The only thing you said about Georgia wide receivers was a comparison between one of George’s best receivers and a transfer coming to Alabama which in my opinion is a heavy stretch Sounds like Greg might be biased, wanting to rave about Alabama receivers when they are probably weaker in that department then they have been an over a decade

  • The only problem I have with Ohio’s defense is they heavily sell out for pass defense. To the point that any elite running team has a hay day with them up front because their back end is too entrenched with covering routes.
