Amazing to hear someone talking so candidly about mental health. I’ve made some of my best tracks with bad mental health, but it flows so much better when I’m in a better place. Thanks for sharing James.
James' music has been a constant for me as I battle my depression, and hearing him talk so candidly about dealing with depression as a creative is refreshing. Thank you for sharing this.
I feel like James' own growth and diversity in his sound of the years has mirrored and been there for me through my own struggles and growth. From my early 20s into my mid-30s now. What a talent!
Glad it spoke to you, he's brilliant
Having worked on myself in therapy for several years, I can say that this was spot on and a great reminder. Thank you so much!
I love these. Thank you for keeping the air open.
Blakes new album omggggg hees back!!!! :D
Love James Blake! And great interview!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Man… loved every second of that exchange, fair play to him for the raw openness
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely beautiful advice there at the end ❤
Glad you think so!

Good lad
This really spoke to me, had to watch it twice
Glad you enjoyed it!
Best podcast
Thanks for watching!
What an artist. Britain does it best. Huge shout from the US. Loving James Blake and also other various UK experimental and electronica acts like The Streets, Tricky, The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Goldie, Squarepusher, Faithless, Burial, Aphex Twin, Leftfeild, Massive Attack, Stereo MCs, Orbital, Four Tet, Unkle, Chase and Status, The Bug, AllFlaws
He is brilliant!
Amazing words
🙌🏻💯 beautiful soul 😍
great questions, and very emotionally inteligent answers from james :D nice focals!!!
Totally agree. 👍🏼 But... you misspelled ATCs & Barefoots behind - not Focals at all. 😉

Thank you!@@100voo
Unfortunately, James. There is no such as "fixing your mental health". At least for most people who cannot afford long term high quality therapy. And even that doesnt help some people. What you can do, is to focus on essential things, your work & hobbies. Dont drown into your own worries. Try not to self-sabotage, but keep going forward. Find purpose through doing and being with people you like. Hope everyone has a good day!
Living with your borderline personality disorder girlfriend is probably the root of all your problems. You should just get out asap, Jameela Jamil and those of her ilk are sadly too toxic and just bring down those near to them. I'm a psychiatrist, but it doesnt take one to see the signs.
Not a ramble at all James Blake
I didn't see any part of what he is saying as rambling. I appreciate his pauses talking about a sensitive subject, and he's absolutely bang on with it all in my opinion :)
just no need is there to point things out like that
Man is sharing wisdom and you’re complaining. Sucks to be you
No idea why on earth he'd be using Geist1, Geist2 is infinitely better and exactly the same. It is without question THE best drum vst ever made, sadly FXpansion have bungled their entire product range, and being purchased by Roli was their ultimate death. Very very sad and a classic moronic waste of incredible IP by just another music corporation with zero fucking clue.
Maybe hes not a crippled vst nerd
"Infinitely better and exactly the same" lol
Real artists don’t care about that crap they just create
