This is the best season of American Idol for me.. anybody agree?
Laguna Milkman I agree, but the only problem is that it was rigged for Phillip Phillips. It would’ve been way better if it boiled down to a finale between Joshua Ledet and Jessica Sanchez. Although Phillip was announced as the winner, it was actually Jessica who got more votes.

Top 3 week was a clue that the competition was rigged in his favor, just like the finale. Jessica Sanchez got hit hard by the judges on her last performance of the night on both weeks. Phillip Phillips was given undeserved, over-the-top praise by the judges on his last performance on both weeks.
David Hill just like how past seasons, particularly seasons 7-10 of this circus-of-a-show called American Idol were rigged in favor of a f*ckin' white guy with a f*ckin' guitar with mediocre to no talent and gift when it comes to vocal ability. They just play their f*ckin' guitar and sing averagely then whoala, they win like they didn't even break a drop of sweat getting that goddarn "American Idol" title. SMH

Nonsense, you obviously was not listening to Steven Tyler at the end of the song, it was Diane Eve Warren who wrote the song ''I Don't Want To Miss A Thing'' that coached Jessica Sanchez in this performance, nothing to do with R Velasquez version, if you want to give credit to someone make sure you have got your facts right.

Watching these past AI episodes makes me realize how "The Voice" has come to be revolutionary in the area of singing competitions. Theres always something uncomforting about how AI judges deliver their comments. Its impersonal, vague, and seems unhelpful to the singers. Whereas in The Voice, judges assume the role of "coaches," so they are prompted to give sincere and precise evaluations. This in turn makes the show feel empowering not just to the competitors, but to those that are watching as well.

This really was a terrific season of American Idol. Steven Tyler and JLo and Randy really found their footing and I thought their chemistry was wonderful. And the depth of talent was so good. I was so bummed that the producers decided to switch things up after this season to bring on more dramatic judges and the talent of the singers became secondary. I don't know if AI ever recovered after this. By the time they tried to bring back JLo and Randy (as a coach) a couple of seasons later, I think everything was tainted by the Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj drama. (Even though I thought Nicki was a actually a decent judge who gave good advice to the contestants.)
cant help to bring regine, i dont know if the arrangement or th e wAY they sing it.., its just jessica didnt exceed my expectation about this wonderful song specially the last note.., and david is another way.., but for the female its regine., ppls refer to the regines studio version i bringthe live performance..,
