I'm BUYING a FERRARI PUROSANGUE! First Look at the New Addition to the Shmeemobiles
I'm very excited to reveal that I've ordered a new Ferrari Purosangue! Join me at HROwen Ferrari London to take a first look at the FUV and to tell you all about it. Ferrari's first 'SUV' has been long awaited and I'm very excited to welcome one to @TheShmuseum, how should I spec it!?
The Purosangue is Ferrari's take on the crossover/SUV segment, but known as an FUV (Ferrari Utility Vehicle) it does things in a very different way. Akin to the GTC4Lusso and front-mid GT cars, it features a transaxle layout to maintain weight distribution in a very dynamically capable machine. It's the first ever Ferrari 4-door car, and is going to fit very well into my growing collection of Ferraris in the garage.
I'm at HROwen Ferrari in Mayfair, London, to fully explore the car for the first time; inside out, engine bay, interior, rear seats etc. There's a lot to take in, but to experience a 6.5l NA V12 in a new production vehicle is something glorious to hold onto and I'm therefore incredibly excited that I'm fortunate enough to have secured an allocation.
Demand for the Purosangue has been through the roof; with the first 2-3 years of cars sold out to VIP Ferrari customers before it was even revealed. Mine will arrive after my 296 GTS, and therefore my 6th Ferrari - it remains to be seen what else might come and go in the meantime!

Congratulations, Tim. Ferrari absolutely nailed it with the Purosangue. If I can suggest just one, absolute must-have option, the air brushed Scuderia Shields. They look amazing and would add a touch of class to this already magnificent vehicle. Forza Ferrari 🇮🇹
No manufacturer needs these cars for their survival. If they all refused to make them, the demand would fade. Blame Porsche.

Shifted from Mclaren into Merc. Surprised he never went for the 600 LT or 765 LT instead went and got the Black Series and SF90.

@@Frodokeuh Senna is a track car that is very rough on the road so that wasn't the reason as only the Zenvo is in the same section (track weapon) as it. He did a video saying why he chose the GT Black Series (you can see how much he loves the car as he's flown it all over the world) over the 765LT. Also notice he didn't even buy the 720 as he wasn't much of a fan and still preferred the 675LT. While he basically bought all the new sporty AMGs. Won't even talk about Mclarens unreliability.

@@mufc_kenny8186 senna is the ultimate version of 720s and 765 LT there's really no point to get those about the amg gt's once the black series was arriving/arrived he sold all the other amg gt's because it's also pointless to have those and i don't think tim would have bought all the amg gt's when there's a amg gt black series sitting in the garage

I'm sorry, but the thing is just absolutely hideous (imo). Ferrari were going in the right direction with the tamer 296 GTS/GTB and then they went and overstyled the Purosangue to all hell. On top of all that, it's far too low to be considered a practical SUV (or an SUV at all for that matter); and the choice of orienting the digitial display towards the passenger is just bizarre. It's obvious that their main aim was to be different rather than making the car practical, but why market it as an SUV if it doesn't really live up to that title?

👍🏼 congratulations on your order. I’m glad to see that even though it is not like the Ferraris of the past it’s still designed around the driving experience and not just the look and attitude of a SUV. I love the fact that they’re called it the puro sangre, even though it’s like no other traditional Ferrari ever, it’s still respects its racing heritage and can be considered a thoroughbred Ferrari through that vein.
i have been obsessed with the Lusso for a couple years, with the FF before that and, now, with the beautiful Purosangue!! while i love most of the Ferraris, these four seaters for me make lot and lot of sense, and are the only ones that i would actually want to own.. cant say it s shocking you got one coming, it really suits you, big congratulations and cant wait to see more of it, more of your thoughts after the driving and more of your spec process.. Great video buddy , But one thing but i might be wrong but i believe the red part of the engine isn't engine covers, it seems like it is the intake manifold... But no biggie, as i said I might be wrong... Congrats on your allocation for that beaut and you seem very excited which is always great to see
“Engine cover” is more of a colloquialism these days.
The technical term is a Plenum Cover
Excellent add to the collection as this is an instant classic. One of the most well designed cars I have seen in a long time. Ferrari really outdid themselves and it's a V12 to add to the brilliance.

I came in here thinking I will hate this, but wow it's a stunning looking thing and on paper, it's seriously engineered and specced. The details are immense with things like the passenger info screen Not sure the colour of this one works, would look nice in a green and cream interior or blue with red interior Edit: Just had a play on the Ferrari config, not many options to choose, and it seems most of the carbon is standard? And the best looking colour is the green with a brown interior

Big congratulations Tim and can’t wait to see 296 GTS confirmation , little precision, you don’t talk about suspension. Demand 5 years development and 3 patents, its very unique solutions with 48v and electric motors on every single suspension and another feature it’s first car without anti-roll bar.
Purosangue - Italian for "we should make a Urus". I can't blame them for chasing the market, it's good business. In my mind the only two reasons to buy one: 1)The V12 (which will soon vanish) 2) Buying this makes you eligible to buy special Ferraris later. The 'aero' is cosmetic fluff that that ties it visually to the other models. Hold this one as long as you must, sell it and keep the Lusso.

Great video once again and congratulations on the car. I would have one question regarding the rear doors. If they open automatic, how do you stop them bumping in cars/walls near you while opening? Do you have to stop them with your hands on the paint, or do they have sensors?
