Austin, there's a Zekrom bug. He's invisible for a lot of us. I know the spot where he's supposed to show up but he's invisible and there's a clear block when you try to drive thru that spot
Edit: Saving right in front of him and restarting solves the problem. The major problem is that you have to be within the spawn area for him to show up on restart tho. If you save outside of his spawn area he still doesn't show up

FINALLY can get my favorite starter Snivy on the Switch!!! One of those weird Gen 1 kids who somehow had a Gen 5 starter steal his nostalgia heart away, but yet here we are with my heart in his little leaf hands.

I find it funny that majority of the fire types are found in the frozen area 😅
I tbought for sure Scorbunny would be in the Savannah and Chimchar in the Canyon
Does seam kinda surprising. Maby they used the idia fire types could stay warm in the cold so they could sort the starters into diferent locations. None of the starters are ie type and the water types arn't realy actic sea species so thay maby used that as logic. Seamed like some of the best bokemon to but in the polor habitat for what was available.
Well, considering no grass types would want to live in the cold and not many water starters are based on cold water animals, many fire types had to be located there I guess.
That's how I figured it. About as logical as it could be I gues but what uther starters would fit into the polar biome? @@oliverorchard6774

Well, if you have any of the Evolved Starters from the Mightiest Mark raids, the Pokedex entries do say "Once the Environment is upgraded". That was a bit of a hint for me.

This literally came out last night, how did you do this much research in such a short period of time?! Insane!
From my limited experience, Popplio and Grookey seem like exceptionally easy shinies to hunt. Go to the large beach at the very south of the Coastal biome, right at the border between it and the Savannah biome, and as far as I can tell Popplio and Grookey are the only spawns of their respective types on that beach. I could be wrong but if I'm not they're REALLY easy to hunt. The only really difficult part would be spotting Popplio's subtle shiny shade. EDIT - Popplio is absolutely confirmed. Only water type pokemon to spawn on that beach in the specified area. Haven't tested Grookey yet, still trying to hunt a Popplio. Will update again. (Mini update: Got a shiny Popplio! Literally last minute! My advice is to eyeball their frills; the pink is noticeable if you're looking for it.) EDIT 2 - Grookey is not applicable. Did a test and it turns out Bellossom also spawn. Well, one out of two isn't bad for something as rare as starter shinies at least.

Just a thing about Chespin I haven’t seen anyone really talk about, while Chespin can spawn in the polar biome, you will need to upgrade the canyon biome for Chespin to spawn in either area. The polar biome upgrade does not make Chespin spawn.
norticed this too. have you tried going there to check if you get him with canyon biome, without polar biome? (in case it's one that you need both for) Edit: it looks like both are needed

Even without dlc you could still get everything from trades. Back before I had teel mask somebody offered me a vulpix for a trade. I was surprised cause I thought you needed the dlc but I tried trancfering vulpix from legends and it worked even though you couldn't do that beore dlc was out. Got some uther trades like cuttyfly that way too.
You have no idea how happy this is making me. I get to have all my babies now! Between this and shiny hunting in the Crown Tundra DLC I have just been loving the Pokemon DLC on switch

you could actually catch all the starters in USUM through the island scan, however some of them only appeared in their evolved forms
I always wanted to own the x & y starters, they looked so cool to me. I stopped playing pokémon at black & white & started playing again at sword & shield. I find it so cool now that I am able to make a goal in gaming come true. Pokémon have done great with this, well played I’d say👏🏽fingers crossed that one day they let the legendaries become shiny encounters in a future game like this 👌🏽

Was trying out the new synchro feature and just happened to find a shiny trapinch immediately jumped out of synchro and caught it ❤
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Chespin is unlocked with the CANYON biome upgrade, NOT the Polar upgrade. I just learned that the hard way; spent my first 3k BP on upgrading Polar thinking that I'd get Chespin inside the Polar end of Chargestone Cave, but no - NONE spawn in the cave ANYWHERE unless you have Canyon upgraded.

They are not, and they actually don’t appear in the trailers. It’s only past gen starters
Unlocked one area of starters so far, and about halfway from the second. I might unlock everything before the weekend starts, and then I'll get to finishing the new Indigo dex this weekend.

Very helpful video, but if there's one thing I'm bummed about, it's the fact that the Paldean starters aren't included in this. For those like myself who are looking to have a national living dex, it definitely would of been helpful to have them there, and thinking about it it also makes sense law-wise. I mean BBA is based in Unova, so I don't understand why they wouldn't want Paldean starters in the biome to study like the rest.
If you just need them for a living dex, you could just breed them, or not?
@@lukasmihara You can breed them, but it's much slower and more monotonous than other forms of hunting in this game
Breeding shouldn't take more than five minutes.
Breeding to shiny hunt has lower odds of a shiny than using a sandwich. Since you can't catch them, you can't even use a special ball then breed that ball down.@@lukasmihara

I'm confused about one thing. Do you have to buy the increased biodiversity 24 times to unlock all the starters? I heard you only need to do it once for each biome.

@@Sawtje2 It's unfathomably boring but doable. Currently at 2/4 regions unlocked while soloing.
@@Sawtje2 It really shouldn't be that hard to do. Most challenges are stupidly easy and you'll end up completing them without even trying (pick up items from the ground, travel 500 meters, etc.) It'll take some time, but it's doable.
Do it in groups with friends. It is so fast gaining those BPs with a buddy.
No matter how I feel about Pokemon's current state, I can always appreciate your dedication to bringing us these guides sooner than anyone else

Was hunting Minior colors & came across a shiny Camerupt. Today was a good day. Also looking forward to bringing in my Catcher Smeargle from Home once the update is finished, caught one while running around but I'd prefer not to train his various attacks all over again & just use the one I already have. Hopefully the moves all work.

Can I just say how weird it feels to see wild starters. I know they were a thing in BDSP but it still feels weird
Friend Safaris in Kalos, Island Scan in Alola, and Dynamax Adventures in Galar.
@excaliburn3d Funny you should point those out. While yes, the starters are available through those methods, you have to go out of your way to get them, they do not spawn in the wild and in terms of Dynamax Adventures, are random

Thanks for this info. I'm aiming to unlock the starters first, before my first BB Elite Four. Looks like gonna start with Coastal (Chikorita, Popplio)... Then Canyon (Litten). Just need to Shiny hunt those first. 🤔 Btw, PLA also had Gen 4 starters catchable in the wild. But yeah, they weren't technically the starters there (Hisui). 😅

After I beat the 1st DLC I took a break for a couple months, started playing again last night when I updated it for part two of the DLC. (Which I forgot about until I seen your livestream waiting for it.) While I took a break I went back to playing some games on my Xbox (mainly GTA online) but now that I'm back to playing pokemon on the switch I gotta get used to the controls....again. (for those who play Xbox as well then you'd know that the A and B buttons are switched on the switch. Like the B button on the switch controller/joycon is where the A button is on the Xbox controller and for those who don't know now you do) 😅

Literally as I was hunting for Fennekin I too found a shiny Ryhorn in the same area 😂 not my first shiny of the DLC, but the fact it happened to us both while in pursuit of the same pokemon is some luck XD
