FUE Hair Transplant Timeline I Day 1 to Day 365

2020 ж. 4 Шіл.
3 059 518 Рет қаралды

A little bit more than one year passed by since my FUE hair transplant. In this video you can see the post op evolution from day 1 to 365.
As I mentioned in my previous videos I am not satisfied with my hair density, and I got used to the idea that I will always have to keep my hair short, with max of 6 mm length. But, because some of you suggested in the comment section to leave it longer, I gave it a try, especially having the perfect circumstances to do so (cheers to Corona :)).
Related to overall results, I will not comment. I will let you draw your own conclusions.

  • Just to clarify: the purpose of this video is not to show an amazing hair transplant transformation. The main objective is to share my personal experience with the people who are considering or are interested in having a hair transplant. As I noticed on KZhead a big majority of videos are showing just one side of the coin. That side which shows you a smooth road from few hair follicles to a full head of hair and a perfect hair line. And this, of course looks perfect on the screen but gives a wrong perception regarding the entire process. I struggle for years with hair loss, trying multiple products, loosing a lot of time and money without any result. Finally I went for a hair transplant procedure, expecting that this chapter will be permanently closed. But as you can see the final results is not what I hoped for. Everyone has their own story, mine looks like this. Cheers!

    • You actually don’t look bad after the transplant. But if I may throw out another opinion. You have a good head shape with an awesome beard... you could totally pull off bald and grow out the beard more. Not everyone can pull that look off, but I think you could.

    • I disagree. I think it is fine for what it is. Fine hair…Norwood Six …high color contrast…look dude..NO STRIP SCAR!! No FUT scar! Win, win, win…you can 1) bleach for a massive difference (and when you grey when older it will help too) , 2) use SMP to thicken it, then buzz or grow. 3) add more density with another FUE. Well, done..it’s thin. For sure but from where you started you did fine. And DONT get a strip scar for heavens sake. You have choices…

  • I appreciate the time you put into giving the month to month updates and the complete look around your head in full light. I've had a few hair transplants and people don't realize that one hair transplant isn't going to give you a full head of hair. I think for one session you received good coverage. If a surgeon packs too many grafts together it threatens the blood supply and you can lose hair follicles. Most men will need two or three hair transplants or an SMP session to improve density. Thanks for your video!

  • Whoever thinks this is a bad result has completely unrealistic expectations. Considering you had to cover the entire top of your head the surgeon did a great job and you simply cannot expect to have the same thickness as someone who doesn't suffer from hairloss. You no longer look bald and that makes a big difference to your overall appearance. Congratulations I say.

    • Having 2 transplants myself I fully agree with this statement. If you want more density you simply have to repeat the entire procedure every 3-5 years until there's nothing left to harvest from the donor side. and even then (due to diminuishing returns) you will never have the same density as your 18year old former self and that's ok. This is still looks 10 times better than before. Also imho your hair looks better having it a bit longer like in the end of the video. Also I hope you are on finasteride or you will lose the rest as well....

I believe you cut your donor area hair area regularly to maintain uniformity with the harvested hair which I thought was an excellent idea. • Speaking honestly, the results were good. The only thing that struck disappointment was the view from the back of his head after a year when the sun was casted upon it.. If I were walking behind him, I would definitely have said to myself that this guy is going bald, which defeats the purpose because I’m certain this guy expected results that concealed the very purpose for opting to undergo the procedure in the first place. Looks good from certain angles, definitely not from the back. I’d suggest sporting maybe a crew cut where you trim the donor area to a 1" which would offset the look of thinning or complete balding from behind. Overall, looking good.. confidence resonating and felt on my end! 🤘🏾

      @robbie_davies@robbie_davies3 жыл бұрын
    • @@robbie_davies I am not sure if I have enough grafts for a second session. As you see in the video my donor area has some over-harvested spots. SMP is still an option for me but as you mentioned going back each couple of years for repetitive procedure doesn't seem to excitement. Hope in the nearest future we will have some good alternatives.

    • The implanted hair falls off after approximately 2 months ( Implanted hair root will remain in the skin but just the hair will fall off) and the hair root will starts to regrow, if you see the photos taken around 2 months after the transplant you may see how his hair probably looked like before the procedure as most of the implanted hair fell off around 2 months

    • Not at all. That's a very bad transplant, it's not even close to amazing. if you see in the very beginning the placement of the grafts are very wide apart. It's very wide apart. You could never get thickness with such wide placing of grafts. As much as this is a cosmetic surgery and will look unnatural if observed closely his hairline is really bad and you can make out for sure that he's had a procedure.

  • Hey man, do not listen to other people saying... Mmmmh it's not a big deal!! It is a great result. I can tell you that. I am 40 and I made 4 hair transplants in 14 years. I am a little bit prepared :-) First of all, we have take into account your hair situation pre-surgery: not so good. Secondly: we must evaluate number of available grafts in your donor area. It's a fundamental factor!!! Alopecia is a process that goes on despite of your hair transplant. That means you must preserv those graphs that you might still use for the future. Third: if you do not take meds, like finasteride or dutasteride, you could not slow hair loss. Trust me! *So, for all the reasons above, it's a great result !!!!! 100% honest*
