@@gagebender2849 Agreed, this is probably gonna be my new crack when I eventually pick it up. The only thing that concerns me is that it’s Paradox publishing it. They publish some great games, don’t get me wrong, but man oh man do they love to sell DLC too…even here they have day one DLC.

Sorry for breaking the 4th wall, but this is the kind of content ive been slightly missing in the last few months. The excessive focus on amphibious philosophamagic ramblings in an insecure tone, is what made your channel unique to begin with. Keep it up, this video is an excellent example of the style that sets you apart from pretty much any other "gamer" on youtube. Embrace it. All in moderation of course. But embrace it nontheless.
this is like a more specialized minecraft technic mod. Like it was designed to be less mine-crafty, but also make building in scale easier.
Yeah. A lot of us want to make a game with the basic systems of Minecraft mods. Minecraft is a great combination of cool mod(pack)s and horribly painful technical side of things :P
I usually prefer describing games with more nuance than "like this game plus this other game" but this 3D voxel grid which invariably evokes minecraft is like the exact midpoint between factorio and satisfactory I see the map and the grid-based conveyor belts and think Factorio. I see multiple levels from a distance and it looks like Satisfactory. you dig through the ground to reach a resource because it's somehow also Minecraft it feels almost exactly like 33% of all three of those games
I'd be interested if paradox's dlc policy wasn't aspiring to overtake EA.

@@Draekrio Like which ones? Europa Universalis 4 is 11 years old and the "ultimate edition" is $370 base price on Steam. They offer an $8/month subscription which gives you access to every DLC as an alternative. Same with HOI4.
@@jackhouse1618most games release as finished products. Maybe with 1 or 2 dlc that feel like entire new games for a discount since the engine and such is already worked out. $300+ for an 11 year old game is an absolute nightmare

It's been in independent development for many years now; the visible progress they made in the few months under Paradox is pretty cool (though also in some ways making it more like Satisfactory and FortressCraft Evolved :D ).

My favorite thing about these games is giving myself 4 football fields of space, and spending 2 hours planning everything out to prevent the spaghetti. But i have forgotten that the spaghetti is inevitable. It calls to the soul like a voice from the great beyond. Spaghetti.

Played the demo when it first released. Nice to see they really expanded on it and it runs well. Never would of thought it would go the way of helping repair a content sized UFO just to get some alien iron. Can't wait to get it it. Going to scratch that itch till Satisfactory gets its 1.0 launch.

Im also scared of heights but i also love them, very freeing and crazy sights Video games are the only time I don’t feel super uncomfortable but i still get that “drop” feeling and its so good I still climb towers, trees and plan to skydive soon
I was honestly so surprised to hear paradox interactive as the publisher since I've only played their grand strategy games ck2, ck3, hoi4, eu4, imperator, and so on.

You’re not alone with the whole stomach dropping even in videogames. I do it as well. Unless there’s no fall damage, that won’t get me.
Factorio is complicated and adicting enough, you add Paradox to the mix and oh boi oh boi...
One thing that I'd like to recommend: exploiting all 3 dimensions of movement While you're limited to 2d in Factorio, which heavily limits the amount of building space that's available to you, that's not a problem here. Simply build conveyors _under_ your construction if there's no room, then build back up when needed. Rather than having a single "circuit board," you can have a rack of them. It's the same principle as a skyscraper.

you should try Dyson Sphere Project. it’s like this but your goal is to turn an entire star system into a dyson sphere. Last time i played it was a bit buggy but hopefully they have fixed some of them

I can sympathize with the funny video man. I may not have a fear of heights, but I still feel my stomach bottom out when I start falling a huge distance in a video game. I've found ways to deal with it, but it's not fun.
