"Time For The West To WAKE UP!" - Former Head of National Counter Terrorism On Labour's Migrant Plan
Former head of national counter terrorism, Chris Phillips, says some small boat crossings to countries in the EU are “aided by foreign national states”.
“It’s in Russia’s interest to destabilise the West and flooding it with refugees is a good way to do that.”
It comes as Keir Starmer announced his proposals to use new counter-terrorism powers to tackle people-smuggling gangs bringing migrants across the Channel in small boats.
In his speech on the Kent coast, the Labour leader set out his party’s plans to tackle the small boats crisis if it wins the general election.
Sir Keir said Labour will “replace gimmicks with graft”, scrapping the Government’s Rwanda scheme and using some of the money saved to fund a new “elite Border Security Command” led by a former police, military or intelligence chief.
