  • Didn't seem like the most practical thing, but thumbs up for effort!

    • I agree. When it comes to a fry up you have to try everything to find the best. I'd say the old fashioned way is the best way 🤣. On the stove or a hotplate 😁

  • I guess it's a fairly decent effort here Andy... I think that keeping everything hot is the biggest problem... But it's easily solved my friend... Firstly you'll need a big roasting tin... And a smaller roasting tin to do this... Boil a full kettle of water and pour it into the large roasting tin... Then place the smaller tin inside ready for your first batch of food... Once the first batch of food is ready... Place them in the smaller roasting tin... And cover it with a dinner plate... A lot of takeaways use this kind of method pal... As they don't want to continue the cooking process... But they need to keep their food hot... My local Kebab Shop uses this method to keep Doner Kebab Meat hot mate... It's kept in a metal dish with a metal lid... And it sits in a shallow amount of constantly heated hot water in a warmer... So that when they're expecting a rush in the evening when the pubs have just closed their doors... They have plenty of Doner Meat ready to serve to their hungry punters... Some fine tweaking of the timings here could help too buddy... I think that it was a good idea to do the Bacon like you did... But you could've used a scrunched up ball of kitchen foil... Wrap the Bacon Rashers around the balls of kitchen foil before skewering them in place... 👍 And you definitely did the right thing by piercing the Egg Yolks first Andy... As I've definitely heard of this happening in Microwave Ovens... And even if there's the slightest possibility of them exploding in the Air Fryer... It's better to be safe than sorry my friend. 👌👍 Could you imagine how hard it would be to clean out your Air Fryer after that going all over your heating element... 😳 Also i think that you could have firstly heated up some cooking oil in a Ramekin... And poured it onto a plate before dipping a slice of Bread into it on both sides... Before laying it flat inside your Air Fryer Basket for your Fried Bread... And turning it half way through cooking... I did myself an entire 250g punnet of whole Mushrooms a couple of days ago Andy... No slicing or dicing... Just straight into the Air Fryer whole... Having firstly sprayed them all with some cooking oil spray... And although they all shrank and released plenty of water... I simply used a piece of kitchen paper to soak up the excess water in the basket... Before putting them back in to finish off cooking... And I've got to admit... They were pretty tasty mate... 😋 If there are any University students watching... And they're living in digs... And they simply don't have any room for normal sized kitchen cooking equipment... They might only have a small Air Fryer or a small Microwave Oven... So it's good for them to know that technically they can cook themselves a Full English Breakfast in an Air Fryer... Many thanks for the video Andy... And please pass on my kindest regards to your good lady wife and family pal... And please give my best wishes to Bob too my friend... Enjoy the rest of your weekend Andy... All the very best... Cheers guys. 🍺

    • Hi Rick. Oh that's a great idea to keep food warm, the kebab van I go to does the same. The idea of tin foil with the bacon also is a good idea , I'd imagine it should transfer the heating to cook the inside of the bacon. 👍😊. Hummm not to sure about the cooking oil on the bread, I think you're right and it would work but it just turns your stomach thinking about it 🤣. I found once that mushrooms cooked in the air fryer in a roasting bag was amazing however any other way of doing them in an air fryer just zaps the flavour out of them. All the best to you from everyone here bud. Have a great weekend 🍺🍺🍺🍺🥃🥃🥃

    • @@AWWF Yeah mate... The foil ball should help cook the inside of the Bacon as well... And if you don't like the thought of using cooking oil for your Fried Bread... You could use melted Beef Dripping or melted Butter instead mate... 😋 I'm also wondering if the Mushrooms being left whole rather than being chopped... Somehow locks in the flavour more... I might try a Ramekin of whole Mushrooms... And a Ramekin of chopped Mushrooms... Just to see if that alters their overall flavour... Or if it just remains the same... Anyway Andy... Enjoy the rest of your weekend pal... Cheers mate. 🍺

    • I don't blame you. It would drive you nuts if you were cooking for a family of four 🤣

  • Seems a whole lot easier to throw everything into a frying pan and add as the food cooks. This demo has put me off these machines forever.

    • You are right, doing a fry up the normal way is much easier. They are good machines if you think of them as small fan ovens. Cooking a whole chicken in them is faster , cheaper and I say better than an oven. If you watch my video "flour your roasting bag" ( No. 149 ) you will see what I mean. 😊👍

  • Too much hassle, the toast looked crap far easier to grill the lot and do eggs in a frypan, microwave the beans.
