  • In sexology class, we made those theories and applied some test on dating apps about girls picking girls (even straight ones) vs a guy model. The results were really impressive. While that guy was obviously hitting it off, his results were still average. We concluded that women - while attracted and desired him - still felt the trauma (or prior similar experiences of guys like him) or still sus his intent and the options with him. The female was a whole different world. It was easy as pie. Girls would open up MUCH easier. Felt safe/confident to share everything, opened up their options, wanted to try, wanted to be surrounded with an attractive girl and discuss naughty taboo things. They felt understood and felt they would be pleased exactly like they would want it even as a friend. They would even share pics and videos they would NEVER share with a dude no matter how attractive (nudes and videos) Not that it never happened with a guy - but the ratio was 500% more with the female than the male.

    • duh, we live in an abuse/hate/patriarchal/predatory/oppressive culture, so women automatically have psychological barriers and emotional walls up towards any man (and rightfully so) which are completely absent when looking at a someone who appears as a woman. Even men that are dressed very feminine, lots of colors, accessories, flamboyant...etc will still throw up defense mechanisms to more women. Its amazing what happens when people feel safe from the get go.

  • Everyone in the comments are saying, "wow she can pick up girls so easily" well duh, first off she's attractive. Second, a woman asking another woman for her number is less threatening than a strange man. Women are rarely hit on by other women as opposed to being hit on by men daily. The Social stigma of women dating each other seems much more accepted then two men dating. Also, the fear of being rejected by another woman is not as dangerous as rejecting a man. If it doesn't work out between them they can just pass it off as being besties and go their own ways. On the other hand, it's much harder for men to let a woman go and the chance of major drama increases.

    • @@das0ss23 I think you're getting away from the original topic here. For one, women are perfectly capable of being analytical. They do it on a constant basis since they're the ones on the defensive from male predators. Men also have feelings, they just have to learn to be more emotionally intelligent. Which is why i said the world would be better if men had that ability. It would lead to men being less predatory for one and women wouldn't have to be as defensive around them. Which then would lead to everyone being more open to platonic or romantic advances from all people.

    • @@das0ss23 People are born gay, it has nothing to do with logic and feelings. Sexuality being a spectrum/fluid is a universal truth. Straight and gay are at the far ends of it but there's a ton of gray area in the middle. Lots of people fall in that gray area, but lean towards one end and suppress the other side due to societal pressure to fit in to heteronormativity. Women are more likely and more societally "allowed" to exist and explore that fluidity. Men unfortunately aren't provided that same societal luxury. And that's the problem and it's why I said what I said. It's really that simple.

    • @@das0ss23 Then again, the society has considered heterosexuality "normal" for the longest time, families have desperately tried to raise their children straight, being afraid that they may turn out to be gay some day, many have cut all ties to their children after them coming out as something other than 100% straight. It didn't work, that's why so many people want to see the era of disrimination ending. We have already tried to shun homosexuality, trying to reward for heterosexual marriage and children born in wedlock etc. and punish for any actions considered "gay". IT DOES NOT WORK.
