The reasons for the bad lag come with the 1.8 update. The man behind Optifine wrote an excellent post on why it happens. In short, 1.8 chucks out precious memory like it's cheap.

You should use a system where: RED beacon = Important for all hermits (for stuff like the player skull chest) WHITE beacon = For haste / potion effects (for mining or pvp) GREEN beacon = attraction (new shop or pvp event) like this so xisuma can see :P
That ender launcher could be incorporated into a Hermit race from one peek to another. The Hermits would have to negotiate various bridges and obstacles within the clouds. Would make for a helluva race. The UHC build is looking amazing. Love the choice of colors. Well done.
The UHC monument is an amazing build IMO. The amount of details and the type of blocks you use for the build just made it look incredible!
That slimeball launcher system sounds absolutely amazing! A seriously high-tech solution to long distance travel. I immediately think of incorporating minecart rails for timing or even a launcher system in the nether for extreme travel. Anyway, awesome vid, looking forward to more!

Captains Mode UHC *Rules* 1- Each captain chooses his team soldiers. Being one pick at a time for each captain 2- Soldiers death will not interrupt the game (this soldier can´t return of course) 3- When a captain die, the game ends for that team 4- Soldiers can´t hold, mine or craft anything that is made of diamonds (including the piece of diamond itself) 5- The last two captains alive can negociate a duel between them (without soldiers interruption) 6- ... (more rules to come by hermits) *Explanation* 1- That makes his captain look stronger in the decision making 2- Captains are the great point in here, that makes them the higher priority for armor and weapons and for the team work in one purpose (defend the captains at any costs) 3- The recomendation is 3+ teams 3+ players each team (including the captain) 4- Captains will have to be there for this important part of the game (diamonds) 5- Lots of battles was decided by one fight saving the life of their soldiers 6- ... (i think you should think in more rules to make the game harder) There we go, i hope you still reading the comments and like this UHC gamemode ... improvements are very welcome

Because of the captain's death, the games might be a little quick. Maybe if the captain dies, the team can still survive if the captain is the only casualty.
But the captains will not die that fast ... they will have the best armor and the focus should be on the soldiers ... the best way of killing the captain would be isolating him first ;)
Little thought for what to do with the beacon later down the line. When the next UHC event comes up, setup the beacon with Yellow Glass for the sign-ups. (Possibly use a tier 1 base for the beacon)
You should sell potions in your shop!! I use to do that on servers and it worked a bit too well and also dyed leather armor, everyone loved that!
The extra spaces in the UHC hall of fame will come in handy when you add more hermits.

X, for the carrots you could use Tango's nano farm in the cow farm.
X, you should make an office on the higher, smaller platform on the second floor of the shop. Sort of like a place you can negotiate prices or check inventory etc, mainly for RP purposes but still, it may help fill the empty space if you are changing the "trades" downstairs a lot.
9:00 Tango upgraded his cow farm. It now has an auto carrot, potatoe and wheat farm in it (nano-farm)
You should set up a giant wall map at the crown hall! would make it easier to plan the town as a whole.
It would be awesome it they all came together in the UHC building for a mini-deathmatch.. no armor or items, just an iron sword.. :D

For the endear pearl launcher you could put a dispenser facing upwards underneath the pressure plate
The enderpearl launcher to False Symmetry is a great idea!
X! You can use tripwire to detect the enderpearl coming and time the slimeblocks soooo you can have an advanced and fast transportation system :-) hope you notice that comment
for the ender pearl laucher you can use tripwires to detect when the pearl is near the second laucher instead of crazy restone timing :)
I have an idea. Put your player head on armor stand in the shop instead gold helmet. )) And maybe put the dragon egg in the middle of UHC, something like trophy. :)
Simulating water next to actual water and a cliff? I see a random hermit going splat in the future :D

Do the repeated ender pearl launcher! Make an entire episode of it. That would be insane. Maybe you could use a selector so you can enable/disable certain launch platforms to redirect the pearl wherever you want!
Maybe if you build an elevator on that mountain, and set the launcher in the top aligned with the town hall, you can ender pearl directly to it's top!
When he says how many hours of video and you think wow I could probably go back and watch all of those again, I don't remember them that well... the not busy lifestyle.
Here is an idea for the path to the UHC Building. Instead of using glass, you can make it look more natural but using Logs laying on the water.
I think the UHC Monument looks great! The combination between the blocks have such a wonderful compliment with one another. But the only thing I quite don't like much is the golden outfits, my personal behalf; I believe the attire would look better with either enchanted armor or diamond, or perhaps a mixture of both enchanted armor and dimond. Who knows?
you should put some chandeliers in the ceiling for more light. Also to minimize the size of the room you could just put the player stats right next to each other instead of having that space in between.

You should definitely get with Tango Tek about your idea about the enderpearls bouncing from one pad to the next to increase the distance!
I really liked the enderpearl launcher ideas, and the building is going really well too :-) It's cool to see how your building skills have changed through time, and become a really nice mix between a very nice looking style with the perfect amount of organic elements to make it look really cool!

you should make a myth busting episode about items that can be made infinitely like getting coal from wither skeletons or iron from iron farm ,cobblestone from a generator.

in my experience, growing vines produce lots of lag. that would explain lag in the darkwood canapy and green orb. i could be wrong, though. hope it helped.
For the enderpearl launcher you should put a dropper underneath the pressure plate with some enderpearls, so you don't have to carry them around
You dont need to set up another pearl launcher at the bottom of the first one. Just set up a bed of slime blocks at the landing place and it should jump you back up in the same direction you were moving in (i think).
Xisuma, Transparent blocks in large amounts can cause lots of lag. These blocks are leafs, vines, Farm plants and anything else alike. Animals wouldent cause too much lag but it will eat the server cpu

You should make an ender pearl travel system. Color code launch pads and 'aim' blocks + landing pads.

Maybe it's Mumbos chicken farm that's a cause for the performance drop too? There are at least 100 chicken in it, xisumavoid.
Xisuma you could use tripe wire possibly to trigger the push for the pistons
You should use a few tripwires to detect the ended pearl and then to launch it again
You wouldn't need long lines of redstone for the second enderpearl launcher, just use trip wires!

Not that big a fan of the stained glass/wool path through the water (lily pads, however...) I think the path around to the Crown Hall would be better (you could take the path around on the ground a little further and try a different approach to the platform, perhaps, than the diagonal bridge?) Tango expanded the cow farm to include a nano-wheat/potato/carrot farm... so the farms can be eliminated on the surface soon, perhaps?

If u do slips platform run it through the mountain like a tunnel and for the pathway way use lapiz blue wool and also blue stained class

You could submerge a path of blue stained glass through the water and have a chest of depth strider boots on each side for some help for the poorer hermits (I haven't finished the video yet sorry if anything happens)

Maybe the lag is from the pumpink and melon farm. If the chests are full, all the items will stay on the ground!

The UHC on the floor looks like 'nic' xD I think once you get the iron farm you should make the armour stands have iron armour as it looks like theres too much gold/Yellow :D

For your shop you can rename the chests for how much each item is worth instead of using paper
