I'm in Sweden! 🇸🇪 My first week back home (vlog)

2024 ж. 16 Мам.

After 4 years of not being home I am finally home! Follow along in this messy vlog of my first week in Sweden! I had time to visit family, play in the snow, catch up with my cat Chris and just enjoy being in my home country on the quiet countryside of Southern Sweden.
In this video I show you my grandparent's farm - where we're staying - and what we've been up to. I go through my grandmother's closet and do some minimalist shopping, and my favorite part of this vlog - trying out the Swedish national dress! It's my grandmother's old dress and it's absolutely beautiful!
I hope you like this video ❤️

  • Thanks for showing us Sweden & where your grandmother lived and your beautiful cat. Loved seeing the clothes & traditional costume. Must learn how to knit socks like your grandmother - a wonderful skill to have. I’ve just decluttered most of my synthetic clothes & doing Swedish death cleaning in Australia. Getting used to mor silence & listening to the birds in the mornings instead of the radio & haven’t watched TV since December 2022 except for occasionally watching on ipad prefererring to see other cultures especially European where my ancestors are from. My daughter did her dna & it showed Scandinavian in our ancestry. I guess Germany Poland & England being close to Scandinavia it’s entirely possible. So far have found eight nationalities in my ancestry. Looking forward to seeing more of Sweden & Europe in your videos. Seeing how other people live opens up the world for better connections.

  • 6:41 I have a familiar experience, when I come to see through someone else's clothes, it's so pleasant. So much respect you show. (I remember that I have a dead friend of mine, and my mom donated me some of his clothes, so I couldn't even hold one of his t-shirts without crying, which was so healing). 8:02 Nice to stay so close to family. I really enjoy the gratitude and clarity you radiate.

  • So happy for you to be home and with family. There is so much peace when we go home. I always go home to have a reset. I grew up in the country in Oklahoma, USA. I lived on a farm and in a two-story log cabin where we harvested almost all of our own food. Now, we live in south Florida and it is so loud and definetely not the same mentality. Take time to reset and good luck on your house hunt.

  • Oh, I loved this video so much! The outdoor surroundings and the snow-so breathtaking. It must have been such an experience growing up in such an awesome place. I love the group ABBA and just discovered their music, 45 years later, and knowing they’re from Sweden made this video even more interesting for me. Wishing you and your partner all best on your new journey! Hope you’ll share more videos on Sweden 😊

    @LevelofTravel@LevelofTravel3 ай бұрын
    • Thank you! :) It is my grandparents house and they haven't changed it really in 40 years, so it's typical of that time period, but these days it's much more white :)

    • @@SagaJohanna In some countries, gray colors of furniture and walls are in trend now, and it looks depressing. In your country, people make a good choice of colors for the interior, both before and now. It is not for nothing that Scandinavian style has been popular all over the world for so many years!😉
