Solo backpacking and gold prospecting in Uwharrie National Forest!

Come with me while I go on an adventure into the Uwharrie National Forest here in North Carolina. This is my first ever attempt at prospecting and panning for gold , I learn quick that it is much more difficult than it appears. Along the way I encounter some relics of the areas rich gold mining history, as well as a few other things.
A few weeks ago I started watching @BenzoGold79 videos and it inspired me to give this a try. I think I officially have gold fever now, and will definitely be back soon to try again.
