Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has warned of an attempted military coup, after the country's armed forces said he and his cabinet must resign.
Mr Pashinyan has faced protests after losing last year's bloody conflict with Azerbaijan over a disputed region.
Nagorno-Karabakh is an enclave internationally recognised as part of Azerbaijan but which had been controlled by ethnic Armenians since a 1994 truce.

This is TRUE. I am a Canadian and I was in Armenia during War. The Armenian Army was getting pulled out 3000 at a time because the opposition was paying high ranking Generals to panic the Army and give the villages freely forcing the current Prime Minister to resign.

Pasinyan himself called it as a coup. You say it’s not a coup.
It is not a coup. If it was he would have been in jail already. They are politely asking him to resign. Just adding their voice to academics, all the political parties, the lawyers’ association, the clergy and just hundreds of thousands of citizens demanding prime-ministers resignation for months.

When there is a coup, they (the military) usually force a president to resign, they arrest him and that’s it, and take the ruling of country in their hands. They don’t ask him nicely to do it voluntarily as other citizens may do. And here they did, they didn’t touch him, they didn’t even attempt to arrest him, although they could, of course. They just added their voice to other citizens’ voice/demand and allowed him to decide. Do you see a difference. But he is just trying to manipulate everybody’s opinion as always.

I tried to explain to you, that he asked Russia to stop the conflict for negotiations or a treaty as Russia is a part of internationally recognised organisation which has been regulating the conflict fir the last 30 years along with the USA and France. Not as his official ally. But Let’s agree to disagree.
I'm not sure what point you are making. Yes, Russia, France and USA officials are seated in the Minsk group that does the negotiations for a peace treaty over Artsakh/Kharabakh. They didn't draw a line and place peace keepers. The fact is, only a major military force from the outside can handle Azerbaijan. No such country came forward. The fact remains that it is Soviet Russia that transferred those lands to Azerbaijan. Why isn't Russia fixing their mistake? This opened the door for Azerbaijan to attack. There is not much that Armenia can do. It doesn't have much negotiating chips.

I shall never forget him facing the barricade and then calmly climbing over it and falling under the official forces to take some blows to his hand and face! As if another president could have changed the outcome of the war. Total humiliation either way.
All the previous presidents managed to avoid war and were negotiating future arrangements for almost 30 years quite successfully. And he didn’t even ask for help from Russia, which he could, as they were allies. There are too many important details for commenting in such a format as here.

There are many details as I have already mentioned, too many for this format. It is not a coup, but he has to go, if he really cares about his country. And no, he hasn’t asked for military help. Russia apart from being allies with Armenia is also one of 3 countries (along with France and the USA) who have been in charge of the process of the peaceful regulation of the conflict. You are right though about Putin mentioning in his speech or an interview that he would have helped if it was happening on Armenian territory and if he was asked to help.

Azerbaijan has no interest in Erevan. if Azerbaijan soldier entered armenia borders Russia would intervene and send soldiers according to their deal. i don't know what country you live but i'm 10000000% sure your country recognize Karabakh as Azerbaijan. Armenia is a small and poor country. It's main problem is it's horrendous demographics and stalled economy. It needs to make peace with it's neighbors. Any new conflict and the world should put economic sanctions on it.

It is not the constitutional function or commitment of the Armed Forces to intervene in a truculent and arbitrary way in the political process, much less to instigate or trigger an institutional coup, when it comes to a democratic state of law, even if it has an unstable political process. They are basic, elementary principles that prevent the regression in the necessary maturation of a State that wants to be modern, to promote and ensure its democratic society.
First, it is a lie, because it isn’t a coup. Second, it is quite a democratic country, not less democratic, than any other one, you can check. And third, they want to kindly ask their disfunctional prime-minister to resign so that they can save the country from disaster and catastrophe to which he is steadily leading them.

Look on the bright side. The war made the USA wake up and accept the past. The 1915 events were genocide against the greeks, armenians, assyrians. Turkey wasn't trying to destroy all the christian population. Estonia accepted the genocide at almost the same time. England seems to be thinking about it.

I've also only met one Azeri in my entire life who was a fairly nice guy and have met around 20 Armenians who for the most part were very nice people as well.
