I Hand Carved 8 Gallons of #epoxy Resin and Wood into a one of a kind sculpture. I used various power tools to make this #woodcarving of a sea turtle. This was one of the most challenging sculptures to date with many setbacks. Let me know what you guys think! #resin

  • Incredibly expensive, incredible consumption of patience and energy, incredibly beautiful. Almost everyone I know would give up halfway through. And that's what makes your videos irresistible. Bring the result to a perfect end. One of the things I admire about you is that you show people the mistakes in your work. Your videos are truly unique, Blake.

    • Pretty, but all I see is plastic waste. More tiny particles to eventually end up inside all of us. So many mediums to use and everyone and their brother has to jump on the plastic bandwagon.

    • VERY TRUE! Far too many artists want to appear as if they are above mistakes, inhuman Gods of their crafts. It not only makes the videos boring, but discouraging if you use them for inspiration. You feel like, ill never be that good. Even if i practice a 100 years. But if you see mistakes AND it turns out fantastic, it makes you feel like, shit...maybe i CAN over come my mistakes and win if i keep trying!

  • Hi there. One of your videos was recommended to me while I was on an epoxy resin pour binge and I’ve been fascinated by your work since. You have incredible devotion to your projects 👏👏 I personally thought that the second attempt you made with the coral-like wood piece could have been salvageable, even with air bubbles. Living things still create air bubbles and currents underwater, so having bubbles within the sculpture would make the coral appearance more life-like. I would love to see the finished product using the pour (be it a turtle or another water-related animal) if you still have it. I look forward to watching more of your videos 🙌
