I've played level 13s at 4.7k trophies as a level 8 2.9 x-bow player. It is hell, there's never a point where you're not kiting tankier troops

The xbow is not the annoying and aggravating card in 2.9 xbow. The hidden Tesla is the most annoying card in the decks.

@@weihern9741 then play a cycle deck as well. Easy. Also, a rocket against a xbow is even. So say elixer is equal, they xbow Tesla, you drop 1 elixer skeltons then rocket. You are up three. They can't just cycle to another, they have no elixer

This was a awesome video. It has really helped me wrap my head around alot of the decks and archetype. Also in helping me choose a set 5 decks to practice and hone my CR skills more. Instead of trying to chase top ladder decks down or stats Royale decks down. It really did put it all into perspective! Thanks man for the awesome video keep it up. When you make your own deck despite the meta to suit your playstyle and mastered it to the point to where you don't need to always follow the meta
I do that every meta which shows the meta changes does effect your play style. I started as a miner control player to Royal Recruits split push. Thags after All legandary and even that has to have the popular mini pekka in it to be viable
B4RE Official I’ve done that with a goblin giant flying machine deck that is really good against balloon and mega knight and it’s grinded me a lot of trophies

Enjoyed your video and getting a pro's perspective on decks. Agree on the high skill cap on cycle decks due to the many micro decisions needed. Less convinced by the argument for bait. Back when it was a couple of cards and players were alternating between ones with different weaknesses, sure. There is nothing inherently skillful IMO however about packing a deck more cards than a balanced deck can possibly have counters for. If any the skill element is on the opponent for applying their limited counters effectively whereas the bait player gets value for every play that cannot be answered optimally. Would like however to hear your view on this

@@spresh443 strange of you to name yourself after a clash royale car- I mean if you play xbow you can get a feel for it. 2.9 xbow requires a lot of skill, and unlike decks like golem beatdown, and pekka spam, it took me a few weeks to start playing it well enough to consistently win matches on ladder.

His opponent had more trophies than him. Winning against somebody with more trophies than you = You get more trophies Winning against somebody with less trophies than you = You get less trophies. The same goes for losing- Losing against somebody with more trophies than you = You dont lose too many trophies. Losing against somebody with less trophies than you = Youll lose a ton of trophies
The highest you can win is 46 trophies I believe
Iirc, i once saw someone win 0 trophies. Top ladder is wonky.
@@chinesehacker3156 The highest possible is 60. But it is converging slowly against this number. You will get 58 trophies from a 600 trophies defizit than your opponent (as they released party mode, there was a bug showing the amount of trophies you would get, so that's why I know). I don't know what is the highest possible on ladder cause I never saw more than +48. There might be a maximum trophie range between you and your opponent, so maybe that's highest
Once I believe it was higher ‘cause I remember watching Guanek winning live a +51 lmao, but right now the maximum and minimum has definitely leveled around 30, though on top ladder from -13/-14 to +45/+46 sonetimes occure

I’ve personally been playing lavaloon for a year now. It really struggled in the last meta but it’s back in this one. Maybe could you get a lavaloon pro on the channel? It’s been awhile!

Xbow has so much health and like absolutely absurd life time, requiring if it has a sliver of hp you'll still have to small spell it after already spending three troops on it. Stuff is wild, also I'm bad
quid #2 Only bad players whine about 2.9. Nobody uses it in CRL, pro players will always win when not making mistakes, which makes low skilled players the only people that actually cry about 2.9 Git gud

Vulkan's rankings are pretty well-reasoned. I'm surprised I've been running the 2nd most skillful deck as my ladder deck for the past year... and still trying to master it.

As a mortar bait player. I can agree, most matchups are very tough
Not if you use any form of barrel. Goblin barrel Mortar is the easiest form of mortar.
Before watching I feel that the cheaper the cycle the harder to master. All the interactions have to be known with spells and other troops.
I agree that cheaper is harder, but I think heavier decks are more important to know interactions because each card is more important. If you misplay ice spirit vs misplaying pekka, it's worse with the pekka

Many pros can't admit that 2.6 is the deck that needs the most skills in this game simply because they can't do that awesome moves that 2.6 players use to do in every match. Do you know what is the right ranking? No? Neither do I... I only know that 2.6 is in first place and even more certain is that 2.9 cannot even be compared to 2.6.

Yesterday I was playing on ladder with 2.9 xbow... First opponent: Pekka Mega Knight Ebarbs wizard witch minion horde...

Only mk is a trouble for xbow cycle I found out. I consistently beat players with 1lvl higher cards than me on 4.8k trophies, but besides sparky mk combo, which I cannot beat with just fireballs. That's why I kind off switched fireball to rocket, minion horde is rare for my experience, and wizard is very easy to counter by this deck.
Jakub Malinowski megaknight is not a huge problem when you save your ice golem and Tesla. The biggest problem is when they have Valkyrie, bowler, and musketeer in the same deck😂😂

I love log bait... it’s such a fun deck to play and working around your opponent’s strategies is a real trip. 5190 with logbait. Sure it isn’t a particularly “good” deck, but there’s just something satisfying about defending everything and chipping away with goblins to make your opponent very, very salty

@@ALR206 It makes perfect sense. 2.6 just sucks versus everything. 2.9 Takes more skill to master. For example, an Ebarb, sparky, fire wizard, witch, giant, graveyard, freeze, log deck is low skill, but still terrible. You won't make it very high on ladder with it.
everyone would take 2.9 because it has better matchup against 2.6
