I played a chess game against chess hustler in Washington Square Park in New York City, and after the game he did this…hope you enjoy the video! :)

Grandmaster mom standing there humbly watching the game!! Respect to this chess family
Respect for pia. 😁
@@GCTACOBATMAN I never had time to notice Pia.
Very cool
Whole heartily agree!
mom is so great
Anna is so friendly but scary on the board. Her kind personality makes opponents underestimate her 😄
The funny thing is that her mother Pia is even way more gentle and seemingly unimposing, but she effortlessly slaughters players like her daughter for breakfast.
@@lukasvandewiel860 "Pia the Destroyer" well known among these parts
@@paddington1670 And rightfully so! Chess masters shiver in their beds when the cold night wind whispers her name.
the nicest human! deadly on the board!!!! queen!
Rubbish. She's just good and better than most of her opponents. That's why she wins most. Nothing to do with underestimating.
Does Pia have next? If people are surprised by you they’d be really shocked by Pia being so calm and quiet while destroying them. Maybe just get a soft “oh, no no no” when they blunder.
oh this is a funny move :D
@@spreadpeace3108 Which move? The “oh, no no no” move? LMAO
I play a lot of ‘oh no no’s’.
I somehow feel that he's genuinely happy to find someone who finally challenges him at the park.
Yes! Your exactly right. It must have been a very long time since he’s felt this emotion and it overwhelmed him with happiness.
@@Caveman125 Yep! That's a sign of a person that is genuinely passionate about the game. I love the wholesomeness all around and passion shown in this match up. Love it
So true. In my chess playing days I loved finding players who could beat me. But the problem with playing masters is they beat you and you don’t know why. 😂 Chess is a microcosm of many endeavors, the better you become, the worse you realize you are.
On a non chess point, I see your mom watching your game. I think your parents did a really good job raising you Anna. It's good to see how beautiful families work, for those who come from dysfunctional ones.
Was about to say the same
Why would you assume her family is not dysfunctional as well? I wouldn't be so sure.
@@human-ft3wk watching them together is reason enough to assume that.
Same feelings.. ❤
Dude has no idea there's a GM behind him quietly judging lol He never stood a chance!
I just love that Pia is standing silently, watching. Watching. "And there's my trick. Checkmate." That's why I love Anna's channel.
Great vid! 43 years in the park is impressive. These hustlers must have some fascinating stories to share.
He better not give up his day job for acting.
he wasted so much time for nothing
Now waste your time in war and get killed by Ukraine soldier dog Russian
i want to hear some stories from him
@@hitriy_evrey Yes, for all 43 years he only played in this park and did nothing else. And he definitely wasn't lying or joking.
The man is so sweet he almost made me cry to 😭
No Anna, you can't make teddy bear cry 🥺 Poor teddy bear 😔
There’s nothing Anna can’t do. This girl is legendary for multiple good reasons.
she can't sing, dance, play cricket/football/gymnastics/jump from a building, she can't do anything other than chess!! think monkey, think
Can do anything
magnus carlsen would like to prove otherwise
Well, she can't punch
You can tell this gent is delighted to get this caliber of opponent. Anna has such an engaging and friendly way about her, too. I like how she thinks out loud a bit. I barely remember the game but it's so much fun to watch.
I played him yesterday! And Johnny was sitting at the next table, just like he is here.
Poor Teddy Bear. Still not as sad as that one guy who finally was able to Castle against Anna after almost all his pieces were gone.
I am really learning to play better just by following this channel. I love how Anna maintains cordiality and sportsmanship, win or lose. That's a great way to be.
Would also love to see Pia play against someone at the Park :) Keep it up Anna!
yeah thats what i though, also i was watching her all the time while she stand in the camera to watch her face impressions :D sadly she was camera shy and left xD
You can watch her play people in the park on Anna’s twitch stream recorded videos! It was so cool to watch her beat people so easily but also so deadly and quietly.
@@juliel2488 got a link to one? I can't figure out Twitch search.
It would be a massacre. Even more lopsided than this match. Maybe with some odds it would be more interesting.
It is so lovely seeing two great 'sports'. God bless you both for having that spirit of 'playing'. Just a treat to see!
I hope his real name is actually Teddy Bear!
her mum seems like the most humble and sweet person
Okay so I've been down a deep youtube chess hole for a minute and I have to say, game aside, I'm so in love with the way Anna really takes chess as an opportunity to connect with others. She puts people at ease when they're under pressure and is so open an curious about getting to know her opponents. Excellent chess, but an even more lovely person.
Funny, I've been doing that myself for the past month or two.
Wow Anna amazing! Love Pia was standing there watching giving commentary with variations in her smile :-)!
I do not know anything about chess but I found I love watching the interaction between them all Thank you
Anna is so nice to everyone and even the birds are singing in the cold. She makes everyone happy. Except whoever she beats. 😊
Btw that guys fake cry doesnt work on Anna. She is in it to win it. They should play for food.
It's my dream to play Anna one day! Not because I think I'd stand a chance but because she helped me discover chess!
me too, not because she helped me discover but because she has a good energy
The best trick would have been to tell: "Maybe you can beat my mom..." 🤣
Just wondering, would it be wrong for a GM not to reveal her status when playing a hustler?
Love this multi generation interaction, so warm
best opponent yet, not too far behind, he was almost there 2 more moves he had you
I love how you treat the opponents in the various parks. I use to live in NY. and watch the games. I wish I was their in person to watch you play. Maybe you can get your mom to play.
Clearly he’s lost his mind and only chess remains.
The second game was pure chaos.
Teddy Bear was a bit cute . That was a lightning fast match at the end! Nice games Anna! Thank you! 🥰
Anna, maybe I'm missing it but I don't see a game timer added in post. You have had that in prior videos, might consider it here too. Thx for the great games and analysis!
Very entertaining, Anna! And what a good guy!
Damn girl, go easy on the Hustlers!
Well, he is the one that made it a 1 minute game. That second one was on him.
You are such a lovely chess family
I can’t believe she would do this to the poor man. I thought she was a nice person 😭
4:25 the way he said nooo git me rollin 😂 4:35 😭😭😂❤
anna has a positive energy that make me want to watch
Tus videos son muy entretenidos, me gusta mucho el estilo casual y chistoso, además de los videos para mejorar que explicas super bien, ánimo sigue asi
I hope you’re having fun in the US Anna!
Why,where is she from?
@@eagillum She is from Sweden and just visiting the US
Watching this gives me shivers down my spine ...
She smiles and laughs as she slowly kicks your butt.
I love how she only returns trash talk (usually).
your laugh nearly kills me every time Anna 😆. It is a little bit like goofys missed sister 😬
This is all way beyond me, but the human interaction is splendid to witness 😁
Bullet in otb is literal cardio lmao 😂
Here I saw a great game, thanks for reviewing the party.
he's great. what a character. It would be fun to play against teddybear
I love this content ❤
These people don't realize how lucky they are to get to play against Anna!
a 5 minute game then a 1 minute game and he lost both I think he was very surprised nicely done
Anna at 2:51 Bxf5 was a good move as it would pin the queen to the rook and the bishop was defended by the rook and if u would trade rook with bishop then u r still +2 with that trade specificly.
he can block with a bishop
@@ihormay3418 Yes, I didn't saw that thnk you very much for correcting a mistake.
2:54 Visible confusion
Curious why you didnt slide back the bishop which would have pinned queen and rook on diagonal (have to give one up) plus given a free pawn.
Mr talkative in the background is DYING to get involved! 😂
The first sign of madness is the first time we all realize that we are in fact mad!
Someone who is "friendly" to use and abuse people is a monster. Were you, people, raised by wolves?
Very well played anna!
The white king kept his knights on a tight rein. 😄
That first game trick was nice
We finally got an irl video😂
This Chess Princess is a shark on the board. So much fun to watch.
hahahaha that guy is awesome xD GG Anna !
I literally can’t believe he didn’t see the mate
I like how chess players use being strong as being good, wonder if theres other sport or discipline that uses it too
yes, weightlifting as one example
In the Twilight movie that Native American guy said don’t worry about me my kung fu is strong… Just before he got killed
Dang that 1min game felt forever
What a nice guy.
Anna’s family ….so happy….so together……that its more like a fairy tale
How could he not see that coming? She actually had two modes of attack depending on what he did. He spent too much time looking at the wrong side of the board.
I see the master social player is chilling in the background 😅😂😂😂
Three tables down that is 😅
His very first mistake was bringing queen out then wasting that move and backing her up one space. he should have traded queens and ruined her pawn structure or found another way to attack instead of basically wasting a move and going one move behind her!
Can't believe he blundered that checkmate.
Probably getting low on time. Too bad the clock is not shown.
@@ventsyv You can see the clock, he had over 3 minutes remaining.
The move that made Lebron cry
You are awesome!! .... Your laughter is beautiful, love it!! LoL
Good video. Anna, do you play Tri-Dimensional Chess?
Now that was very entertaining!
That was fun - thank you
Another day another amazing video
When u meet her usually: friendly, kind, cheerful When u meet on chessboard: So Scary, sadist.
I really enjoying how you say "hmm" it's so cute!❤ I can't stop watching, help me, somebody!
That move at 3:06 is so boss. The ability to see that opportunity and bait a very good player into it.
Poor man had no chance 🙂
A real wolf in sheep's clothing.
Man is so soft inside that people nicknamed him Teddy Bear 🧸😭
I was 3 minutes 40 seconds into the video before I realised there was an animated chess board above...
that hat/jacket combo is killer Crams..👌
Ah Washington Square Park. He must have been there playing chess when I was at NYU there 35 years ago. 😀
Great game Anna! :)
Sometimes, you gotta let the kids win.
He was a good loser, just crocodile tears...:) Thanks Anna, enjoyed it.
6:27 unless I am seeing things, he knocked over his King from the back row and put it on the next row up when he replaced it.
bruh they aren't a hustler if they openly admit they're very good at the game
Technically he did cry just not in the way we thought lol great games tho!
Anna I love your posts I wish I studied chess when I was young
never too late to start!
Not too late indeed!
I wish i could make similar like this in my province in the Philippines where there is a park allocated for people to play chess, but I don't know if my budget is enough.
Only Regina George would make a teddy bear cry! ; )
GG's
Looks chilly in the Park today. Welcome back to The Big Apple!
4:27 respected this man humor
How did he not see that first CM coming, and why sacrifice his queen for nothing!
