How To Make a Petite Raffia Paper Mache Table That Fits Into Small Spaces PART 1

It's hard to find small cocktail tables that can double as a stool to fit those tiny corner niches in a room. You can make one out of durable paper mache pretty easily with simple, inexpensive materials.
My love of paper mache goes way back with a small nightstand I made with paper pulp and glue for my little niece. Almost 10 years later, the paper mache table is as strong as ever without a mark or nick on it.
This grown up version will be covered with raffia fabric to mimic those high end designer rattan woven tables with a scalloped bottom that I have been eyeing for some time now.
I take you through all of the prep and paper mache application in PART 1. Drying time delays will take us to PART 2 for the big reveal in the next upcoming episode. Don't miss it!

    • Thank you. I used a simple craft knife to score and cut the cement tube. Very easy. No special tools needed. Can’t wait to show you the reveal.
