  • We have long resisted getting an Echo. Never really saw a need. kzhead.infoUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB When we recently completed some remodeling in our home, we realized we had failed to add a switch to turn on a certain lamp across the room. We couldn't run new wiring (which would have been expensive if we could), so we got our first Echo which completely solved our problem for about $40 (Echo Dot and smart plug). We just ask Alexa to turn on/off that light. Heartily recommend it to solve this kind of conundrum!

  • Ok, have not watched yet, but have had 2 Amazon speakers, echo dot, I guess, for a while, dreading the thought of setup. Why? Because I have one I bought almost a year ago and still don't really know how to use that frustrating app. So, I just guess at things and kind of stay on anything that is somewhat working. So, I be judging this video hard and HOPING you can really start at a beginners level, which means go SLOW on steps. Please... Btw, the main reason I have 3 echo speakers is for good quality sound/music, loud in all of my 4 tiny rooms. Can you just help me get that right? To play from my TV if I want, or from my phone or tablet? All the same? Is that too much to ask? So far, it has been. 😢

This gets annoying after awhile and it serves no useful purpose. The sound technology obviously doesn't work and it is stupid anyway. Alexa should simply be advising people: "If you are having conflicts with 2 devices because they are within hearing distance of each other, just change the wake up name for one of them". • I'm sure it's very useful but I just can't see anything that this device can do that I can't easily do myself. It's kind of a lazy comfort measure. Now if it could be integrated into a fully functional robot it might certainly be useful.

If their are some vampires 🧛‍♂️ out there who see the programmers running 🏃‍♂️ down the streets please eat them, bite them what ever you do best. We will have new programmers 👩‍💻 before the sun 🌞 goes down.

  • "Alexa" do something that will take me 5 ffing seconds longer to do myself cos I'm so ffing lazy & spellboundingly amazed at modern technology & quite happy to throw away all aspects & fundamentals of humanities values to bump up the profit of big tech. People n this world are getting a ffing robot to shut their curtains for them. While kids starve & people are treated like livestock around the world. All this AI crap is the start of Skynet. How many Sci fi movies you gotta watch to see this shit!

    • Imagine if a robot could make the exact meal you wanted everyday with all of the highest quality ingredients you prefer to use and does it amazingly well. Life optimization, like being able to sleep in your car on your long commute home from work and millions of other examples, will always be appealing enough to the people to drive demand through the roof for technologic advancement to proliferate. Only way to curb it is not by trying to alter supply or demand of the technology, but using logical, enforceable regulation and preventing corruption between regulators and industry leaders like we constantly see today

  • Wow. EVERYONE knows that when making a Echo video, you DO NOT say the word Alexa without putting some kind of filter over it. You have to know that people watching this are going to own an Echo, so everytime you say ALEXA during your vudeo, their Echo will activate. Duh You shouldn't be making videos if you can't figure that out, kid.
