Ken Block Absolutely Sending it in an 1100hp Race Truck: Whoopocalypse Now EP. 5
Plaster City, CA has long been the benchmark for desert truck testing in the US. It’s home to some of the gnarliest whoops this side of the border. On this episode of Whoopocalypse Ken Block and co-driver Alex Gelsomino head to the famed site to get some wide open high speed testing under their belt, ahead of the Baja 1000. To top it off, we wrapped Team mate Jax Redline’s helicopter in the same “It’s A Living” livery as the truck, and VFX wizard Ash Thorp even drops in for a ride along.

Alex is an awesome co-driver and his patience when it comes to teaching along with his passion for the sport has probably helped to create a lot of new rally/offroad racing fans. It's been great watching him and Ken teaching Zac the ropes of pace notes, the learning process, etc. when it comes to learning these sports. Please keep Alex involved!

Those notes will be their demise. They need to learn the GPS and use LeadNav. There will be no way to read those notes at night, if Ken’s section runs at night; or the truck has issues that forces him to drive at night.
Or they could do like they do in the rally car, and install some little LED map lights. Lots of night stages in rally
Other thing, surely once you've prerun the course written the notes the features of the "road" will have changed. With lots of other competitor running hard burms and dips etc will have changed. Rocks and other smallish obstacles will have moved as the sand and dirt gets torn up. I'd have thought for Baja that kind of notes system can work but would be less reliable than for stage rally as the variables seem much higher as an event goes on 🤔

Given that Baja is in Mexico and a certain new videogame that heavily features Ken is in Mexico it would be cool to see this truck In the game. I love the livery and the truck.

Let's see if the notes can work after prerunning.. it should help out in some way ..but race track terrain changes quickly at baja. Should be interesting to see interview after baja 1000 how useful are the notes. ( overall they should help)
