  • Please note - when we say last hurrah - we are discussing a man who has competed for 25 years internationally, and the great success he has enjoyed and he enjoys this event - a major global contes - sees Zydrunas kicking ass once again. This was October 2017, an he yes he did other global contests - in fact he even competed at the World Tour Finals a year later, but he struggled with injuries. So please enjoy seeing the King at just about his all time best!!! Hence - ''the last hurrah'' is a fun title reminding people it wasn't that long ago he was not just the best over 40 athlete but that night he was the best of the best, whatever age they were.

  • just goes to show how powerful Big Z was and until now. He just crushing and keep making jaw dropping after jaw dropping. Even Eddie got knocked out despite his WSM 2017 win prior to this comp. He may now more focus on the master's class, but still can crush another titles. Truly one of the strongest to ever walk on earth.

  • Considering Z is retiring, the day has come watching strongman will become a struggle, with the insufferable likes of Evan Singleton carrying the sport forward. Z is why I adore this sport. Unmesureable strength, calm speaking, inteligent, humble, doesn't go all out chest beating, or covering himself with cliche alpha male dressings, like growing a gigantic beard, or covering himself with tatoos. Z is one of a kind in all senses.

    9 ай бұрын
    • You can celebrate the GOAT without trashing literally everyone else. Why did you feel the need to be SO negative and judgemental? Fans like you are not what the sport needs.

      @brianfox340@brianfox3409 ай бұрын
    • @@brianfox340 Could be here all day defending my hill, but for a starter, I like people that don't feel the need to go with the herd. Noticed how 85% of today's strongmen feel the need to be "manly" sporting a huge beard and bald head, all looking like they came from a cookie cutter machine? Ever noticed that? Z didn't feel the need to be part of a herd. Another point: I love the classic Greek values of powerful body, powerful mind. Being immensely strong and inteligent, like Z, doesn't require to beat on the chest or spit out "alpha male" lines all the time, like Eddie Hall and Evan Singleton. Z has immense strenght, but is inteligent, calm and collected. Just 2 arguments for you sir. Could go on the whole day. . EDIT: in many ways, a lot of GOATs will be similar to Z, like Lasha Talakhadze, John Brzenk, Ermes Gasparini, they are just themselves, calm, confident, inteligent. No need for chest beating, trash talking, massive beards, bald heads, tatoos. Just themselves, with calm and ease.

      8 ай бұрын
    • @ they should "be themselves", unless of course that includes a beard or getting amped up for a lift, because you've decided that's performative? Go ahead and clutch your pearls at the horror of beards and excitement, nobody is stopping you. But I can guarantee you that Z himself wouldn't want to hear you badmouthing the personality of everyone else in the sport, because he's better than that. I guess you just aren't. Be more like Big Z.

  • This and the shaw classic is my favorite shows. I was at WSM in Myrtle Beach and it was a complete shit show. You could barely see the events. So many people I talk to said they traveled so far and spent so much money to get there and they were so disappointed because they could not even watch the event. I hope WSM fix that stuff. Also, I’m so done with finding out the results the day of and then it coming on TV six months later. Takes away the excitement of watching it. WSM is still living in the 80s. Giants live and shaw classic run it the proper way
