    • @Don K Sounds like a beyond miserable life. When you're a woman that has it all (the career, the money, the lifestyle, the wardrobe, the trips, the hobbies, the friends), you can marry based on who you actually like, who treats you with dignity and respect, and most of all, who adores you! That makes for a much more equitable AND sustainable, long-term marriage.

  • I was born in a quite wealthy family and walked away from all of it. I think it's important to talk about something that was not brought up in this vid : the difference between old money and new money. Old money people marry each other, so the probability of gold digging is way lower, because money is just a criteria among others (my sisters both married guys who were able to maintain the same lifestyle as my father had gotten them used to). These new money guys some to be going after girls who are looking to be socially promoted through the marriage, because it makes them more docile, so how can they be surprised when they realize they are gold diggers. It's a tricky thing because generally old money don't marry new money (because of the values they don't share), so new money guys, if they want to marry new money ladies, have a tiny pool to pick from, and also, those are not some docile little dolls that will have to fill their time while waiting for them to eventually come home. So if you're rich and want arm candy and the bling that comes with it, how can you be surprised to find out you marriage was a sham all along? They were never looking for a heart of gold to start with, they were looking for a girl that makes them look good. So they participated in making it a sham.

    • Born old money, so I've seen this unfold over and over again. Even though marrying into new money wasn't an option, we did sometimes run in the same circles, and the condescendance of old money towards new money was a frequent conversation, because they don't know the codes and are mocked for it. And that's why they tend to over compensate with extravagance and the need to show off, because deep down, they crave the validation of old money but will never get it...

      @EmmA-ln9he@EmmA-ln9he8 ай бұрын
    • This will always be funny to me. What's the problem with not being born into money and making it on your own instead? Do these people want to gatekeep being wealthy and enjoy seeing people being poor so they get upset when they come across someone who recently became wealthy?

His wife: " I know he just wants me for my beauty and will leave me for a younger version so I'll do my best to keep him as long as I can and gain lots of money in case of divorce which will surely happen one day." Nope but instead you opt for the one who has nothing to her and then complain that she just wants your money? What do you expect!

  • Well, i guess i'm a gold digger as well. A gold digger who's not just out for the money. I'm looking for a meaningful relationship. I want to live well, travel and support my partner emotionally. My future husband doesn't necesarily have to be rich but he has to at l3ast be financially well off. A lot of people are under the impression that rich men are abusive and a woman who wants to date a rich man is by default a gold digger denying the fact that absolutely nobody wants to be poor. In my experience it is poor men who are very abusive, unromantic and entitled the the bone. Nobody is without flaws, so i'd choose to marry rich or financially stable, because to be involved with a poor and flawed man is too much to stomach imo.

    @ninawestlake14@ninawestlake146 ай бұрын
    • THIS. So many think "a woman who wants to date a rich man is by default a gold digger denying the fact that absolutely nobody wants to be poor." And also that women as humans marry for stability, historically. It wasn't considered gold digging then... It was a natural need for status and stability in return for her Ladylike entertaining (with guests as well), household abilities, emotional work, and, after babies, child-rearing. Because children and household running is a lot of work. Several jobs in one. I'd like to mention the relief: if you can afford to hire out some of those jobs: butler, maid, chef (Nutritionist, shopping, cooking, dishes), Nanny (Sitting and tutoring, potty-training, dressing, emotional taxing and sleep depriving, etc), etc etc... Yet modernly we expect the woman to do all of those jobs, without extended family or a break, stigmatize babysitters, AND she has to please a man who doesn't appreciate her work? Ludicrous. (And then we also blame her for postpartum depression which can turn into psychosis. And it's never "she didn't have enough help" it is always "how could she ever have done or felt like that?" It's cold-hearted to put someone in a corner and blame them for not being able to handle loneliness like that.) It's very unfair, and yet many men seem to cry that it's most unfair to them, that they work harder even when they are the ones that get to check out mentally/emotionally at home. There are paycheck father's out there who complain they are "babysitting" their own kids, and also stating that it's unfair that they're "paying for everyone." Well, yeah, you'd have to hire a whole daycare or babysitter for your kids if she wasn't there. How much is that again? No, they feel entitled to her time, effort, love, body, and emotions. Demands for her consideration with none in return. *ahem* got carried away. This is the general toxic masculinity that I've observed, especially from self-called "incels" who hate women but wonder why women don't like them. Disclaimer that "no, not all men," but there are enough to make it more normalized than good men can afford (pun intended). Because every time a good man lets something slide, they are contributing to the misery of all the women hurt by that toxic thinking. You could cover over so many wrongs if you'd hold each other accountable. Women can't do it. No one takes advice from those they disrespect actively and think of as lowly and undeserving. There's no etiquette there, so there's no consideration. It's also too easy for human nature to say "I own you because I paid for you." As many celebrities and the UK royal family has known for generations with stalking, entitled paparazzi. *whew* I think I got all that out now lol Pent up too much. If ya don't like it, I'll take those two cents back... Because I'm not wealthy in coin. Thanks for reading!

Cancer, miscarriage, mental health issues, domestic abuse, traffic accidents, etc. But there's a catch. Rich people are better prepared to handle these problems. Why? Because they've got access to high-quality healthcare. They can seek help for their problems any time they want. Now that the Covid-19 virus is spreading we really see the differences between social classes. Poor people are dropping like flies but rich people are mostly unaffected. Why? Because poverty kills. It literally does. The residents of poor neighborhoods are both more likely to contract the virus, and more likely to die if they get it. www.politico.com/states/new-york/city-hall/story/2020/05/18/poorest-nyc-neighborhoods-have-highest-death-rates-from-coronavirus-1284519

  • A reasonable amount of money is great to have to buy a nice home, look after your partner, kids and secure their future with good schools, savings etc (don't spoil them though), have nice holidays, treat your parents, have great health care, eat good food, invest and give back to the community. But when it gets too much, people become excessive with it. They lose all reason and become corrupted by it as this is the nature of humans. My dad always tells me and my siblings that too much of something, even if good, is bad for you. Moderation is key. We live in a very superficial society where a lot of people ruin things with their dog-eat-dog mentality and parasitic behaviours. It'll keep getting worse with the power of social media and the internet. It's very sad to see.

It goes something like this: 1) they randomly "invite" me to their parties with no time to prepare (come in 2 hrs) but I never attend seeing what's coming. 2) they would ask me to go with them to buy food attempting to make me pay, and I declined on the spot seeing that happened. 3) acquaintances would follow me around to "chat" with them and then ask for a buck, I gave once because I was stupid at the moment. 4) they will try to charge people things that are free, such as gym guess-passes. 5) they will ask people to split the tab or each friend will order a certain kind of food for the table, I boldly walked out. Also, men want a woman who they can impress. It makes them feel good to be able to take their date to a place they have never been. A rich woman is hard to impress bc she is your equal. • Sigmund Freud - go look at the Forbes Top 50 Welathiest Woman, and tell if any of those women seem even the slightest bit attractive. Money gives you power. Power gives you access to whoever you want to date/marry. The best solution is to find a beautiful wife who is comfortable (and prefers) being femmine. Win-Win situation. The less attractive the wife, the more likely the husband cheats AND the more likely she cheats since her husband isn't giving her any action. I think it's best if women have their own money to support themselves but not necessarily equal to him since that's just unrealistic to expect.

    • True love is what comes after many many years together. Trouble is many people give up on a relationship before they even get to that true love stage. You have to go through a lot and stick it out. It’s not always about flowers and hugs. You will argue, you’ll love them less one day and want to split, then you’ll have to work on the relationship and bring the spark back. Your true love will be the person you feel you can tolerate the most and the person who feels like home, and that could take at least a decade to discover in that person.

  • I dated a girl for three years. She got me to pay for her college books and tuition then started "hanging out" with a guy she had a class with. She married him three months after graduating. She got mad at me when I figured out what was going on and broke up with her a week before she graduated. I gave her a bill of what she owed me too.

  • Interesting that the women who are actually married to or in long relationships with billionaires aren’t interviewed. Maybe because one of the first things you learn is not to talk. What the video shows are many women who on the fringes. But the trick of spending a few months or years pretending to be poor in order to lower a divorce settlement works. Interesting video.

  • I can’t imagine marrying someone for what they have first of all but my thought when I watch this video is how spending 60,000,000 pounds on a dress that would, as the announcer says, would purchase 32 homes in London is absolutely excessively extravagant and obnoxious. I wouldn’t want to be married to someone who would want this kind of wedding and I wouldn’t want to marry someone who would pay for it. You could cloth and feed homeless people with that money you could build houses for the working poor. There’s so much you could do with this amount of money. You could build a shelter for animals. This is coming from someone who walked off a yacht in Newport because, as I told the owner, who was my boyfriend at the time “I can’t date someone who doesn’t know how much a loaf of bread costs”.
