This car is marketed as an affordable crossover in the rest of the world except in our country! Every review of this car says so too. Even korean prices of this car (where ours come from as the company says) are also for that category. This car is supposed to be the same price range as the Nissan Kicks or Honda HR-V that's why it makes me scratch my head how they did the market research for pricing this.
Pricing of the Trax in the Philippines is similar to the ones available in Cambodia. Trailblazer LT and Premier are still available in the Philippine market

Nice explanation on the engine. I had the impression, for its size, the engine is underpower. And you know what's the real grown up on this car - the door locks. Man, those are 70s door locks.
I'm a loyal Chevy customer.. had a Cruze a few years ago, and currently on a Trailblazer Z71.. However, I feel that the Chevy dealership in the PH has changed drastically. You did the same with the Tahoe and Suburban, jacking up the price to exorbitant amounts. Was saving to buy the Tahoe but with the price changes, feels like I can only afford a 2nd hand now.
In other countries Trax is relatively cheap. Kinda weird that it is more expensive than a freaking SUV here in ph.

First Trax review I've seen that shows this vehicle with a center armrest for the rear seats, and air vents for the backseat passengers. Definitely not a U.S. model. But a good review. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It's true. The infotainment system having no Apple Car Play is a deal breaker. But why do I feel a little discriminated? Caco usually do not mention a model having no Android Auto as a "deal-breaker." And for me it was literally a deal-breaker. That's the main reason why I chose the MG ZST over the Geely Coolray Sport Limited - the latter doesn't have Android Auto. Back to the Trax, this one has lots of deal-breakers. Compared to the competition, the Trax does not have 360 camera, let alone an adaptive cruise control, which is very useful especially since they mentioned going to Baguio, and it's supposed to be a "2024" model.

Looks good, but I'd consider Territory instead for bigger engine and better tech.
It will be more interesting if Chevrolet priced this Trax just around 1.1 to 1.3 million, better rival for the Chinese counterparts which offers more enticing features and more powerful than this.
would contend mightily against those bang for buck Chinese crossovers surely.

Any US version doesnt come with * rear charging ports * rear cup holders * rear air vents But damn the increase in price compared to the US market is not worth those 3 add ons. Looks handsome and better than the new territory though imo.
I think there are more than 3 differences... the 1rs in north america doesnt have the 8in digital driver dashboard (it use analog instead) and the side infotainment screen is 8in instead of 11in like the rs in this video. Could be even more stuff...
This version also includes shark fin antenna, power lift gate and armrest in the back seat.

had my trax for about 3 weeks now, i have the base model out the door for around 21k, i have heated seats, remote start and features the base model normally wouldn’t have, you could say i got lucky to get most features a 1rs has but i have no regrets with the car, not only does it have amazing gas mileage but the overall feel and sensitivity in the car is unmatched. one thing in the video i saw which was untrue was the carplay, apple carplay is included in each version of this car

It sells like hotcake in the United States,specially in the state of Michigan. Price start at $20k and tops out more than $26k.

The thing I dislike about this brand is the Price! Such a deal breaker, too pricey for it's class and it doesn't hold its value for resale since it's most likely (most of their models) to be phased out before you can even finish the loan period.

Trax is an SUV-Crossover, Xpander is an MPV. Trax's sample competitors are Territory, MG HS, GAC 4, Corolla Cross, Uni-T, Emkoo, Jetour Dashing.

The car looks good and nice color too. But the price...With how price-sensitive Filipinos are I think it wouldn't sell well unless your a big chevy fan.
I saw this car on an advert I think and thought it would be priced 1.4 or 1.5 at max. When I read online that it sells the base variant for 1.6M+ maaaaannn, wanted to drive something different from most cars but phew that tag. And to find out from Caco now that it's actually selling at P1.7M+ ... well hey, if you got money, you can get the honey.

I know it's top of the line very reason why its expensive. But with that price, there are better options with better features.
Nice car as it is a global model and not a typical emerging market vehicle, however, I guess being a global model makes it too expensive compared to Ford badged China made crossover due to tax and that is a shame.

Loving this new update of the Chevrolet Trax From the outside,.Which is a head-turnee! Because of its cool new looks all the way to the inside but a dippy downer,,..Are thows piano blacks that are fingerprint magnets O and by the way,.What I also love about it is meron na din siyang ac duon sa second row since naka-slightly titled,,.. Sa driver iyong main ac duon sa 1st row But still hoping it could also reach the second row,.And finally iyong cargo space na din niya which is ok narin at least with a minimalist space,,.. Ang importante ay spacious parin siya 👍😉👍 O and thankgod,.Unlike the old version na my line pa sa gitna ng hood niya dito walang wala kanang Makikitang ganun Kundi,.All you can see is a nice and clean cool looking car 👍😉👍
not so thrilled about american brands.. my wife had a friend who had a chevy cruze(brand new)and in its 3rd year, it had an issue where it can't accelerate to 20KPH.. after chevy checked it.. it had issues with its ECU and had to be replaced.. fortunately it still had warranty(3 years/100,000 kms)so it was replaced free of charge.. she sold the car as soon as she got it back and now drives a honda..

Best variants of the Trax are the LT and Redline I'll wait for a 100,000 Peso cash discount for it

Someone really needs to check up on TCCCI. Their management is absolutely NUTS, thinking they can just slap on high prices on their cars. - 4M+ for a Chevrolet Camaro that doesn't even have a V8, compared to the Ford Mustang with a V8 being offered for less than 4M pesos - 7M+ for a Chevrolet Tahoe when they launched the vehicle with an ALREADY expensive price tag of 5M+ And now a mere Trax for 1.8M pesos? What are they thinking? Heck, what are they sm0king over there?

Can't agree that Trax doesn't look like anything on the road. The MG ZS looks similar to it, heck it looks so vanilla, it's as vanilla as any cross over can get. Compare it to the Territory which has a very broad hood that makes it look like an SUV, or Forester with its matured and functional looks. Think of it like this, if you remove Trax, Forester, and Territory's badges, and plop in the middle of a carpark filled with Chinese cross overs, you'd easily be able to pick out which is Forester and Territory, but Trax would blend so well with the cheap Chinese xvers.
I can’t get an answer anywhere as to why the Trax is more expensive than the new Trailblazer in the PH.

"Lifted wagon" you say? I completely understand. I have referred to it and the Outback and Crosstrek as Station Wagon 2.0. Calling them SUV seems so inaccurate. I question the quality of the vehicle. How long can they really last? My budget will not let me exceed $28k. I may just get a used Santa Fe or Rav4. Decisions decisions...glad I have some time before I buy or I'd be driving myself nuts. Too overpriced. This was the reason the Hyundai Kona and Honda HR-V failed to push the crossover SUV popularity in the past. Today, they're all the rage because there are so many options now, and there are crossover SUVs that cost below 1.4 million pesos that have more power and features than this. Too bad about the pricing because this looks really good.

Why the price?!! I checked the US version and the top spec is priced only at around 1.4m. It offers nothing to wow the consumers that is not already in the market and at much lower price. at that bracket it competing against mid spec SUVs and full Hybrids

I’d rather go with the tucson 1.6crdi. Unique in styling, also korean-made, much more powerful, much more comfy and is really a bang for the buck.
The Trax is also Korean made. The Tucson, while more powerful, isn't any quicker due to added weight. It is also a lot more money. Looks are subjective.
I'd rather buy hyundai tucson for it's very powerful engine plus more cheaper 👌
