Himalayas are considered as the roof top of the world and world's 2nd highest plateau exists is Pakistan, that is well known as Deosai national park located in Gilgit baltistan. Deosai national park can be approached from Astore as well as Skardu and it takes around 8 hrs to travel from Sheosar lake to skardu city. There are so many spots on the way worth stopping and spending leisure time. A few of them are kala pani, bara pani and chhota pani.
Situated at 13700 ft height, Deosai is the most beautiful place on earth. I have never seen a place more beautiful than Deosai. Lovely views, sometimes with clouds and sometimes with blue sky are spell binding. The rivers flowing on the plains of deosai may be considered as tributaries of mighty indus.
Camping options are available in deosai at Sheosar lake, kala pani, bara pani, chhota pani and deosai top. Rates are different however we paid 2000 rupees for a camp with four beds inside. It was a scary night with horrible thundering and a heavy rainfall but the morning was aah.. so beautiful.
