  • No riving knife. No push sticks. No blade guard. Wearing gloves. Standing in front of the table saw. Reaching over the spinning blade. While the build was awesome (and well done on making whatever you have work!), please consider how dangerous a table saw is. Many poor folks have had their lives changed because they underestimated them. Imagine how hard achieving your dream house and land would be if you or your SO was missing all the digits on a hand?

  • *FOR SAFETY REASONS do not wear gloves* while working with rotating blades!!! Also *use pushing sticks* at the end of cut planks.

  • I enjoyed Alyssa's narration. I miss the teamwork of Jess and Alyssa on camera. The hours spent on editing this year had to be a challenge in catching up. The music background was perfect and did not take away from any of the video. I almost passed this video up but am glad i watched.

  • A push stick is a tool that can be bought or alternatively, easily produced yourself and although very simple in design, plays an important role in the safety operating procedures of a table saw.

    • I’d highly recommend, my dad cut through two nerves and two tendons after the wood jumped on a table saw... nearly lost his finger. He had to have two surgeries and his finger doesn’t rlly work anymore... needless to say every cut he makes now is with a push stick and feather board

    • Any moving machinery for that matter. My dad got his hand pulled into a sprocket and chain. Had to reverse machine to get hand out. He was fortunate he only lost 1 finger.

  • I'm sorry, but cloth gloves while using power saws is a recipe for disaster. If gloves come into contact with a power saw blade it doesn't cut, it pulls....pulls your hand right into the blade. I've met more than one woodworker without fingers because of this! Cool vid though!

    • Get a grip we all know about health and safety and I'm Shure the whole intention of this great video wasnt about that it was how to build an authentic western style hot tub .and I'm possibly and very Shure that you have not ever violated any health and safety issues in your life . Yes I spotted a few without the circular saw guard also but .just get a grip and enjoy some ones great effort s .. and like there hard efforts they didn't have to post it but hey they did ..👏👏👏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃
