We were SO fortunate to have the once in a lifetime experience of going inside the Christ the Redeemer statue!! We were asked to share that this is NOT an experience that tourists can book or pay for... We just got really lucky, and we don't want to cause any trouble for the nice people who made this possible for us. So please do not reach out to them asking to go inside the statue :)

Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time.
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

    • Yeah, I enjoyed all their vídeos I’ve watched so far, and they both seem great. But got a bit upset that they keep saying “gracias”, not knowing that “obrigado/obrigado” is how you thank people in Brasil kinda gives me the feeling that they didn’t bother to learning the very basically of the language, or even thought we speak Spanish where which is a bit insulting; even thought I loved all the Latam countries I’ve been too, culture to the people. It kinda gives me the impression, together with some videos in Japan, that they are the kind of tourist that just want to go to famous landmarks, and don’t care for the local culture and language: which, imo, is one of the greatest things about traveling.

I've been watching a bunch of your videos since January (started with the North Pole cruise) and I'm currently watching your playlists from the start! You've come a long way, both geographically and skillfully (video/editing/narrating)!

  • The fact you give him credit for being the reason you're there! I'm sure he is a fan! Nate, I visited Clifford's Tower in York, England when I was a kid. Back then when you walked around the top rim, even as an 11 year old, the walls felt like they were beneath my knees. I remember being excited and terrified at the same time because of the height, which was nowhere near your height. Regardless I think we experienced the same feeling of week knees and feet.

  • This video (and many of your others) have inspired a lot of my travel journeys! I went to Antarctica in December (last continent!) and now I think it's time to see the other 4 wonders of the world. As someone who grew up in Kentucky it's nice to see others from the Midwest with the same wanderlust. Been a fan of yours for years and just wanted to say thanks for taking us along on your amazing adventures.

  • Absolutely amazing! I have been to Christ The Redeemer twice and can’t even imagine the experience you had. Seeing you so high up had my heart racing! Heights are not my thing but this is a sight not to be missed if you can get to Rio. I also so appreciate Kara’s history lesson after each wonder visit. I have watched all of your videos going way back and I think this is my favorite. ❤️

  • I cannot BELIEVE Kara and Nate FINALLY CAME TO BRAZILLLLLLLLLL ❤❤❤ Guys, you gotta visit lots of places to really get to know us, honestly, this country is huge and so are the cultural differences between the regions, it's amazing. Regardless of where you visit, I hope you guys have a great time!!! But.... I would be SO happy if you took some time to get to know us Brazilians a bit more 😊 I've been following you guys for years, can't miss a video, so this was awesome! 100 countries and you didn't have videos in Brazil, I thought you had a really bad experience with us or something, but I'm so happy you guys came now!

  • An incredible video of many incredible opportunities! I have enjoyed all of your videos so much, still my favorite will always be when you stayed with the family while on the Monkey Run, (poor Nate was so ill) both of you pushed yourselves to a height of expressed humanity that I think about and wish for more “pure” examples. Both of you have worked so hard to treat your subscribers to what most of us could never have imagined witnessing. I for one appreciate your collective strength to experience the world in the name of travel. Please continue to do so safely.🙏🏻

  • i just want to say a huge thank you to you both (and now all your crew who help create the viedos and your families too) I found you in at a very low point in my life; the "First Class OVERNIGHT TRAIN Georgia to Azerbaijan (scary border crossing)" episode in early 2019... I was working on getting out of an abusive (not physical thank God!) marriage. I found you guys again later that year ... I can't recall the exact video. I know it was an Italy one. Then I found your Antartica video seires, and then I realized I had seen a few of your others and followed. As you know, it was 2020, and I was still in that relationshit... Thanks, Dane Cook, for coining that term. I finally realized I deserved better, and you FRIENDSHIP and LOVE helped me to see the light. Your videos helped me to escape, and finally, I left. YOU BOTH INSPIRED ME TO DO WHAT I WANT TO DO... EXPLORE... MEET THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD!. I had the wanderlust built into me as a little girl living in Germany (my dad was stationed in Minze, Germany US Army) and I was reignited... Since I have added 10 new countries to my list, and in 2024, I am taking a Transatlatic cruise from NYC to Rome and getting off with only a room for that night! I have saved about 17K in the last 3 years, and I am going to explore Europe, solo as a 37 yr old woman! I am now taking care of myself and exploring, and it really started with you, Kara and Nate... so again, thank you so very much. I love your channel so much!! I truly hope you guys will see this.

  • What an amazing opportunity! Congrats on making it to the 7th Wonder and how exciting that you got to climb to the top! The hike up would destroy me physically (lol) and the height would likely destroy me mentally, but I'm shocked that it freaked Nate out so much considering that crazy ladder hike in Switzerland you both did.
