I’ve heard this song so many times just like all of Nate’s music, but for some reason I’m completely obsessed with it tonight,like he just dropped it. That’s the power of NF. There’s so much truth and emotion in his music that it always hits hard and sounds fresh. I get just as hyped hearing his music I’ve been listening to for years as I did when I heard it the first time! Props to Tommee for his co-production wizardry! I never see this song on any of NF’s most streamed or viewed lists. So underrated!

Anyone notice he’s talking to himself? He’s the one harming himself. “Aim in your direction, shoot at my reflection”. This line blew me away. What I understood is that the “they” in the song that he’s referring to who are hurting him are actually himself. He says he’ll aim his weapon to the people who are hurting him and is aiming at himself.

BitterBeastYT i understand where your coming from, nf had a difficult past and he struggles in his mind daily. But he will be okay. This is the kind of music he makes. He wants his music to be deep and emotional. It doesnt mean its a direct cry for help. He gets things of his chest and tries to help people having the same difficulties in life with this music. He wont go like juice or peep, cuz he doesnt use drugs. He’s also older than artist juice or peep like. He’s probably more mature and he wont just make stupid decisions like suicide. He also has a loving wife. He may struggle with life but Nate should be okay :)

Man, you took it right out of my mouth, I couldn't word this any better than you have. Pain in inevitable, we all go through it, but people are too ignorant to listen through it, they gotta find a way out to somehow live to their full potential, even if it's through rapping like NF. If it makes you happy, don't hold back. Go for it, don't throw away your shot, and before you know it you won't feel as low and the poorest. What I'm trying to say is that everyone has hope, just find something that can spark a flame and treat life not as a game, it's a cycle of life and death that keeps repeating endlessly but eventually you'll rise up above your station and prove that you're worth more than anyone has ever bargained for. If you feel low, shift the tide, but don't break your stride, and find a way to feel happy.

Man, you took it right out of my mouth, I couldn't word this any better than you have. Pain in inevitable, we all go through it, but people are too ignorant to listen through it, they gotta find a way out to somehow live to their full potential, even if it's through rapping like NF. If it makes you happy, don't hold back. Go for it, don't throw away your shot, and before you know it you won't feel as low and the poorest. What I'm trying to say is that everyone has hope, just find something that can spark a flame and treat life not as a game, it's a cycle of life and death that keeps repeating endlessly but eventually you'll rise up above your station and prove that you're worth more than anyone has ever bargained for. If you feel low, shift the tide, but don't break your stride, and find a way to feel happy.
