Laos: The Ride - An Educational Cycling Adventure Film
Over 900 miles and 60,000 feet of climbing in fifteen days, this cycling adventure took me from the southern Laos all the way to Luang Prabang in the north, through the mountains on the eastern border with Vietnam. Along the way, I met many wonderful people, ate some amazing food, and saw many beautiful sites. Having travelled many times to the Lao cities of the Mekong River valley, I was curious to see what the mountains and backroads of Laos contained. I learned a lot along the way, about Laos and also about myself as I rode up and down the big hills through the heat, loving every minute. I also managed to see all three UNESCO World Heritage sites in Laos in one trip, something I had dreamed of doing for the past thirty years.
Many thanks to the Southeast Asia Program at Cornell University for making this trip and film possible. einaudi.cornell.edu/programs/...
