    • Robert, are you speaking to this particular Hustler? I don't own that mower, I was just doing a favor for the widow getting it up to snuff. I think I do have a stick adjustment video up showing the steps. I'll have to see if not, I will have to do one this winter with a fender & wheel are off so that the camera can get a direct view of the process. I really need a camera person. Wanna volunteer then you'll also get to see it in person? lol Thanks for watch and the suggestion. I'm all ears for what y'll want or need to learn. Max

    @53mjackson@53mjackson4 жыл бұрын
    • Mark, I can do that for you. How tall are you? I'm 5'10" and robust as is plain in the videos. I have mine adjusted so that they are just about touching in full reverse. I also have the suspension seat and slider which puts the rider up about and inch and a half higher. On top of that, I also have the World's First Body Lift Kit on a Hustler Raptor SD. lol Which tilts the seat forward causing the sticks to need to be farther forward. I also placed them so that they touch. This allows one hand steering when or if necessary.

    @tomastomas1793@tomastomas1793 Жыл бұрын
    • First thing to do is open up the dash. Then put a multi meter across the posts on the switch with it in off. Make sure there is zero continuity across the hot in (battery) terminal from ignition switch and the hot out (clutch) terminal. With clutch switch in the up (on) position, test again, there should be continuity showing the switch is in working order. If the switch does not open the connectors inside, the switch is defective and will need replacing. For testing purposes only, dash still loose, sit on mower so that feet are not a concern for getting under the deck, then start the engine. Please do this outdoors or at least with doors open and a good cross air flow. With engine started I must assume from your plea that the clutch will be engaged. Now, disconnect the harness below the clutch switch. If the clutch disengages, you know the switch is the culprit. Get back to us. Good luck.

  • I just remove belt covers. Not possible to be turning if off machine and gives more foot space for stepping on and off.

    @olegig5166@olegig51662 жыл бұрын
    • Removing the covers may give more foot room, however one thing it doesn't do is create a laminar air flow around the pulley inside the belt cover as well as a turbulence below the pulley to create an air void below the pulley to keep the top of the deck clean around the spindle and especially the bearing. Whatever you like is what you should do although I created the video to show you what is the best and most efficient means of prolong both bearing and belt life. Another thing that you haven't probably experienced as of yet is a stick or other debris entering the belt - pulley path. That can almost flip a mower and usually will cause the belt be rolled off the pulley. The most important part of the correctly ported belt cover is the belt will never burn due to debris build up below and around the pulley. Again, if cover off is your cup-o-tea, then by all means enjoy your mower in any configuration you are most comfortable with. Thanks for watching, commenting and I hope you subscribed, liked and shared the video to someone it may give thought to.
