Quick and easy high messy bun updo hair tutorial for long, medium hair length. Perfect messy bun for thin hair. Tiktok viral messy bun.
I can't believe that I'm 33 years old and I'm only now learning how to do this. ALL THE YEARS messing up buns. ALL THE YEARS. thank you girl.
I can’t believe I am much older than you and I am only learning this now. So glad she was kind enough to share this wonderful technique with us in such a straight forward and to the point manner.
@@DrCarlaSelemeSeriously though, I'm in the same boat. I only ever wear my hair down 24/7 but working at a hospital it needs to be up and I'm guilty of the ugly bun in the beginning. I need to try this method!
36 here😅
I love your tutorial, straight to the point and without unnecessary chit chat
Yeah but they cut the frame at 1;49 and then her hair was magically perfect. I wonder how long they spent on it in the missing time?
Right? 😄
@@pippadawg7037oh! I wonder.🤔
First, you have to have a lot of hair. If you don’t, this will never happen
And a messy bun shouldn’t take that long. Defeats the whole purpose.
Well, I don't have as much hair as this girl in the video does and actually it's always been a problem for me. But I do a messy bun like this and it really works. It's messy, it's quite big and looks beautiful. And it doesn't take a lot of time
And if you do, it hurts.
Who cares? This isn't for you then, move on. Some people like finding new ways to do buns.
@@ckam86 2 minutes is not long lol
Love how you skip the bobby pinning. Really gives us a good idea how it's actually finished.
Yea the most important part was cut out lol. The jump cut went from ok/acceptable to perfect- so we have no idea how she worked with it/ pinned it to achieve the final result.
Exactly 😂
THIS!!!!!
Well done. For those who say you have to have a lot of hair, the secret is curling up your hair or making it somewhat wavy to add volume to your hairstyle. See her first sample she has straight hair then it became curly when she started styling. This definitely helps put less effort in making messy hairstyles.
Absolutely Curling helps. I use long clip on ponytails for thickness and it helps make a beautiful style like this.
WHY woul anyone want to CURL hair and make a full updo in order to put it in a BUN next?!? That's just ridiculous. If you spend your time in it , you go with your hair loose! That's just how it works.
@@xssized good point. But sometimes you just want to put your hair up in a nice stylish way. If you have flat or thin hair, curling gives your hair more volume so it looks nicer when you make it into messy bun.
She has full hair even if it's fine. Actually has a lot of it.
If I'm going to curl my hair, why would I go through the effort of that just to put it in a bun? 🤣 also, she did a jump cut to the end, which left out how she pinned it & styled it at all.
In the first example the girl has straight hair, in the second one wavy! This fact alone changes a great deal. For the rest, it's definitely a must try if you want a good look.
Yes, I noticed the difference between the straight & wavy… that process alone is going to take some work! A little deceiving, I suppose, but the end result was magnificent.
Messy bun nowadays isn't just a messy bun, it's a hairstyle, i.e styled hair. It's the equivalent to the no make-up look. Takes effort. That is, more effort than not wearing make up at all or in the case of hair - more effort than making a raw messy bun like anyone could. When I realized that, I felt alot better about my raw messy bun not looking that great 😂
True, it looks pretty but it's a pain to do. Looks effortless but it's an elaborate trap smh.
So bummed when you just cut it to the end! I wanted to see how you fixed it to get to the finished look
💯 exactly. Two different processes lol cuz I was not all the way impressed with the way it was looking before the end cut. Lol
So what did you do to coif it? Obviously the video jumped. That was the part that needed to be seen most. Bobbie pins used, or what..?
The part you cut out is the most important, though. Because the jump cut goes from ok to perfect- so I don't know how you teased it/worked with it/ pinned it to get the final result.
I wish you didn't cut the frame at 1;49 and then show the bun perfected. It felt like we missed something.
We did miss something. We missed the part where it was totally crap and she took it down and completely did it again differently, then added a lot of pins and spray, all while pretending it was the same one she started with.
I think she basically just did a lot of tugging & positioning of the hair over & over until it looked good. But I do agree that that part should have been left in the video since it is an essential part for those of us who need to see how it's done from start to finish with every detail left in 😁
Of course, it looks fabulous. But a messy bun for me it something that I losen up during the day several times, in order e. g. to massage my scalp or to leave my hair open for a short period of time. And then to do a messy bun that does not lasts more than 2 seconds. So for me this is an updo but not a messy bun... Though it looks really nice... 🥰
I seriously had to go try this right now. I found it easier to use a bulky scrunchie on the first pony and then a thin one on top. It helps to twist ur bangs up and bite em while ya do the ponytailing. It actually does look really cute. I have super frizzy ends and a bun tucks that off my face, so this bun accentuates the mess. Idk how I feel about it. I kinda like it. Idk. I appreciate learning it though. Thank you!
Step 1: start with absolutely perfectly styled, shiny, dyed and cut beautiful hair.
...and a bundle of extensions :I
Love this bun, turns out so cute and its pretty easy
As a cosmetologist, this woman’s hair is long and beautiful and has great body. Most of us do not have ample hair to do this with.
Just buy a bundle of hair.
Well then that means the video is not for u
Yes some women have thin hair for sure. But if women didn't cut off their hair and stop layering so severely they would have hair to work with. My daughter and I do not cut our hair and no we don't have dry frizzy ends that "must" be cut off according to most people. Take care of your ends and they'll look beautiful.
That’s not true. I used to have nice thick hair and it has thinned considerably after menopause. I wear it mostly long and unlayered but it needs a little layering at the ends and sides to make it appear to have more volume. I’ve never had to deal with these issues but I do now. When I wear my hair in a bun I put in a comb with a sponge on it and wrap my hair around it. I also have a fake ponytail that I put in and wrap it with my own hair for a bountiful bun. You don’t know what it’s like to have thin hair until it hits you hard like it has me
I have a lot of fine, stick straight hair with only smooth texture. It's great for some things, but this kind of messy bun.....I can only look on with envy. Le sigh.
This video makes me feel a lot better about what I thought was me not having the right hair for a messy bun. Ty😂
OMG it worked! Never have I ever made such a beautiful bun :D
It may not change my life, but it looks fire! 🤩
One of the best videos made on buns for me it is. Thank you. Love the music 😊❤
Most messy buns look messy but, this looks pretty and polished. It makes me wish I could wear my hair so long, ( not flattering for me ).♥️
Very easy and beautiful!🥰
Finally! I’ve tried so many tutorials & they didn’t look right. This one worked for me- thanks!!!!
Looved this! So straight to the point! 🤍
Did this with medium length hair with like 300 bobby pins 😂
Love it! Totally worked for me - thank you!!!
Firstly: be drop dead gorgeous and have perfect hair. Secondly: do hair bun 😭
It's not a messy bun if it isn't messy...then it's just an updo that takes time like all the others. Messy buns are for quick, easy and on the fly for any hair type.
10 sec vs 10 mins 😅
Well this takes less than a minute. So I would still say it is a messy bun. It's up to you how much effort you want to put into it.
If you use a brush, it is not a messy bun 🤷🏼♀️
With this type of hair ; easy hair .... all hairstyles is easy
I love how you did your bun so pretty💛💛💛
Honestly, you look godd with both variations and I even like the first one better.
Omg!!! Loooove it!!!❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful, so easy🎉
Thank you for your straightforward tutorial. My hair is pretty thin.so I used a clothe ponytail holder for the first step. It looks pretty good.
Penteado lindo e elegante!👏😍🇧🇷
Maravilhosa como sempre! Obrigada pelas dicas de penteados❤❤❤👏👏
Wow that is pretty! And so quick. This was a masterful video- real hair art. One of the keys was when she pulled the hair out so it wasn't a tight bun. Nothing less flattering to a face. Thanks!
Thank you my hair is so long and I have a hard time styling it, I will try this
I absolutely love this! Gorgeous look, its easy bc I could actually replicate it😅 To the point tutorial. Love, love, LOVE❣️ Thank you!! 🤗
all my years thru school I never knew how others did this. now as an adult I can finally master the sorcery lol
This bun works amazing for long hair!!
It changed my life. Thank you very much.
The messy bun changed my life by making it easier not more chic. A hairstyle as revolutionary as the messy bun must take under 30 seconds. This is very pretty though.
Love it! I just tried it and it came out perfect!! Very romantic ❤
Beautiful
Почему noooo? Не пойму. Первый образ подходит для спортивного образа, второй, для вечернего . Что не так? 🤷
Best messy bun tutorial I’ve seen! Exactly what I’ve been looking for.
When I pull bits out of tightly brushed back hair to make it look a little messy and more voluminous, it ends up looking uneven and like I’ve ‘tried and failed’ rather than ‘oh my hair just happened like this’
Same 😂
Alright girl, I’m duly impressed. Beautiful. Though it does really help that you’re gorgeous to begin with! I sub’d and I’m looking forward to catch some more videos. Thanks for the lovely tutorial!
Oooh this is great!
😍 I'm totally trying this!!!
Great tutorial for gals with LOTS of hair...let's see some help for those of us with maybe neck-length and thin hair please!
Interesting. I'll have to try this. Thanks.
You have gorgous hair girl 👍💯🥰🥰
Beautiful!
I look great with it. thanks
Super cute! Must try!
I can’t even do this 😢😢😢!!! But you are so right and so kind of me and so grateful to have such an understanding and kind soul
Good job❥ Charming and cute hairstyle❦ Good also for kimono, hanbok, aodai, etc.
I love it...very beautiful!
kept seeing tutorials with pins holding the bun together. Which will NOT work with all the hair I have. this just might though. Thanks for posting!!
@@gabimayo4844 I've tried the chopstick hairstyles before. the chopsticks went flying as soon as I moved 😂 I just have super thick hair and its down to my butt. Definitely getting it cut due to the weight, maintenance, shampoo and conditioner costs, broken hairband costs, having to wear essentially a hair sweater during the heat of summer, etc. 😂 If I get enough cut off, i'm going to donate it again. 🤗
Gorgeous, and easy. Although my hair can't do that, but I appreciate the ease lol
(laughs hysterically in curly) 😂
Thank you girl I have a ton of hair this fixes everything
What bs she changed the last clip after probably setting it a million times and you have really thin hair try on ethnic hair.
Why nobody shows how they prepare the hair before?!Hair are styled already
Super!!! Einfach wunderschön, easy und schnell1! Daumen hoch und Abo. 🥰💯👍🙏
Notice how much time it took to do the first bun and then the second bun. 10 seconds vs 10 minutes
Love!!!!
If it stays up, you did it right. Fight me.
If it involves a hair brush it isn’t a messy bun babe. Updating: it works without a hairbrush!!!
Где взять столько волос? У меня 3 волоса 😄
У меня тоже,так что две волосины выпускаем по бокам,одну на макушке в узелок😆
@@bobjoni149 👌😄😄😄
Unbelievable. Gonna try it
Good luck trying to undo this, and take it down. I've got hair like her's, and it's hard to get out of the rubber bands or elastics, and undo this. I almost had to cut the elastics from my hair, to get out of it. The more messy it is when you make it, the harder it is to get out of it.
Hello, my friend, very beautiful
me watching with two strings of hair
I have past waist length hair so I’m wondering if with pulling it out around to make the textured look, will make it not feel secure and eventually pull the bun down because it’s too loose?
A ideia de um mess bunny é precisamente ser rápido e fácil de fazer.para ficar messy. Essa ideia não tem nada de messy.dá trabalho e leva tempo.
Meanwhile me with silky straight hair... My hair just don't stay in any position other than gravity imposed. 😅
❤thank you 😊can’t wait to perfect 👍🏼 it but nonetheless I look cute with what I created so far 😊😅❤🎉
Beautiful but I feel it won't stay still 😅
I wish send my photo here🤣 mine is like on first photo after this tutorial))
Phenomenal video
Wow❤
Finally a hair style that will work for my hair that's to my thighs 🤣
Of you have super thick, heavy, or curly/wavy hair, use those spiral hair ties to keep from getting too many crimps in yout gair 👍
Nice 👍
Can you say tangled mess when your done?
This is genius
I like the first
Super ❤
WHAT IS THAT AWFUL MUSIC???
Very nice except for the fact that I like to feel my face tighten when I have a bun
This is the old sock bun or donut bun without the sock and donut been doing this since the 80’s had no idea it was popular 😂
I think I'll have to refrain from cutting my hair for about a year to have long enough hair.. and let all the layerss i cut in grow out 🤔
its pretty but I literally do not have time for all the steps
My life is the same
Beaultiful
This is the longest 1 minute video ever! Could have shown this in 30 seconds!!!
