It was a good game. I felt whomever got the ball first in OT was gonna win, that's how charged each offense was coming down the stretch. I hope Detroit comes back strong next week and I hope Seattle continues to improve as well. Go Hawks!

Only reason it's not another 48-45 game is because the teams half-remembered what "defense" is.
When clickin on a NFL video on KZhead, over 90% of the time you get the double 15 sec ad with no Skip Ad option on either! Most other channels you will reguarly get 1 ad with the skip ad option or occasionally no ad and just straight to the video. The NFL videos have never went straight to the videos lol! Theyre gonna scrape the bottom of the well to make sure they get every penny! It is what it is i guess

Both QBs were playing really efficiently this game, that when OT came I knew whoever won the toss was gonna win the game.
I did too, and l also felt the hawks would win the toss and then the game. Sometimes you just get a feeling that one team or the other will win a particular game...l mean even before it starts, too much hype, etc.

Geno was absolutely phenomenal under pressure in this game. Quick, decisive, accurate and good decision making he totally proved last year wasn't a one off and that he 100% can BALL
So impressed with Geno....being in Seattle has been a blessing for him... before last year I thought he wouldn't start another game.

Yes, you can see he truly knows where receivers are supposed to be as he bailed out the OL more than once with a sidearm or quick release with defenders in his face.

Major shoutout to our two tackles. With both Lucas and Cross out and going up against that Lions defensive line, i was really worried Curhan and Forsythe couldn't protect Geno. I'm glad to be proven wrong and see the Hawks come out with the win!
Gotta give them props for how well they did but the number of uncalled holding penalties was insane, especially the two in the OT drive. Lions got in their own way too but yeah I’m surprised they weren’t feasting on Geno regardless
I saw the holding penalties that weren't called. just like the false starts against KC last week. They didn't play well enough to win without the help of the Refs.

Last year Detroit lost and it sent the hawks to the playoffs (on top of winning their own game). There’s nothing but respect between Seattle and Detroit🤝 two great teams that leave it all on the field. I’m a Detroit fan but Seahawks are no joke.

I honestly can’t really make any excuses for this game. The Lions made a few costly errors that Seattle took advantage of and the Lions defense could never solve Geno Smith. I am definitely upset that we were on the other side of a crazy game, but I am also not surprised since Seattle always beats us for some reason. Don’t let it get to you boys. Let’s just look forward to next week!

Fun fact a ex-football player name Maurice Harvey is my uncle. He played for these teams in these years Denver Broncos (1978-1980) Green Bay Packers (1981-1983) Detroit Lions (1983) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1984) Detroit Lions (1987) He's now 67 and we are not blood related only related by marriage. He is by far the funniest uncle I have. When I see him he always asks me to bug the little kids for him at family gatherings as he is old and can not move as well as he used to anymore

As a long time suffering Lions fans, having to watch games where they were out of it by the 2nd quarter, I'll take it. A seriously exciting game to watch, both teams refused to give up- made my weekend.

@@RB01.10 There were a few bad plays on both sides and some terrible calls by the officials. By no means an ideal game and room for improvement, but it's early and the Lions are showing more promise than I've seen in a long time. Loving Matt Campbell also.

@@SixStringSchool Nah, the refs didn't stop us, we stopped ourselves. It's hard to win with a pick 6 and a fumble basically returned for a TD, and a defensive front that gets absolutely no pressure. Onto the next, we will be good when we clean up all of these miscues.

I have never seen a quarterback resurrect his career like Geno Smith has been doing for the past 2 seasons or so. It's as if something in the NFL changed to his benefit. I'm really impressed with what he is doing.

As a Lions fan, I'm starting to expect wins. Sadly, we are not out of the woods yet. They do. They’re extremely poorly built. They don’t really have a role Hutchinson excels in, he’s more like a really nice gadget player. Probably best suited for extended time on the interior. Branch is going to be great. But they spent way too much on an average CB (Sutton) and don’t have much aside from CGJ. Their LBs are terrible. Campbell should some day be a quality MLB, but before the season you had people in the fanbase saying (seriously) “heS tHe NeXt JaCk LAMbERt”. Yes. Seriously. Lions got smacked in the mouth. The team is humbled. The fans need to be too. That’s long overdue.

@lobo2619 It’s really not. If you watched these highlights you can’t honestly not see Smith releases the ball quick and at the LBs area of the field on nearly every down. How do you think a rusher gets to him in .5-1 second? Watch the clock. The best rushers in history get home in 2.5-3 seconds. Find me the number of plays Smith held the ball. You may not light the amount of blitzes AG dialed up. But that ALSO is a LB issue. If you vacate the middle of the field to sell out the pass rush, you leave an open man at an already prone area of the field. Either way you slice it, the issues here are not due to lack of skill. The gameplan in Seattle was throwing short, fast and at the weakest unit on the team. The LBs. Thanks for trying tho.

Great game Lions, A lot of people thought i was wrong for picking the Seahawks but i know this team can bounce back after week 1, Pete has done it many times throughout his coaching career and the seahawks really stepped up this game. Their defense really showed late first half and second half. The lions did great on offense so did the seahawks, Tyler Lockett sealed the game and Tre Brown did a good pick six. to Lions and Lions fans, Great game to y’all, i respect you guys always because of these matchups we do. I love it and hope to see this momentum of the seahawks in week 3. GO HAWKS AND GREAT GAME LIONS. 💙💚💙💚

The hawks are searching for identity. These young players needed a statement win. They came back and capitalized on the Lions catastrophic mistakes all game long and got the win on the road. The Seahawks are very opportunistic and will capitalize on their chances whenever they are given at any moment in the game.

Defense is part of the game. If you loose the coin toss and want a chance with the ball, nut up and make a defensive stand. It's a hell of a lot better than it used to be where a field goal won the game.

I'm an eagles fan but Tyler locket has been way underrated for his whole career with Seattle he's a deep threat but can run any route and in my opinion he's the best at avoiding big hits and since djak besides Tyreek hill I would choose locket as my speedster he can play anywhere slot outside sweeps he's very underrated I feel cause for years he's been consistently doing it for Seattle

Hats off to the Seahawks and Superstar Geno Smith. Detroit Lions fought soo hard & we wanted that W soo bad. I really reeally wanted that win. I love our Lions SO freakin' much. I been seriously watching pro football since 2000. .. This is my favorite Lions team ever. I cannot stress how much I deeply love our team & organization. I just want a fair fight. I feel we definitely could & should have won. We didn't... ... The Seahwaks are a great team. Still think there were more than 1 bad call buut... If I see it ... others do too... Oh well.... Forward march! ... Only one can be the grand champion in the end. I salute my team for thier effort, pride, attitude & strong will to fight our hardest. Great job by Geno Smith & the Seahawks team. They are great! It'll be a hell of a battle between them and the 49ers!!

This was a great game played by both teams but Detroit gonna have to learn how to close out the close ones if they trying to make some real noise this season. Seattle looking like a well oiled machine if they can keep up this level of play they will be fighting for a spot in the NFC championship game.

I am a lions fan so first of all gg seatle you played well. Our defense was horrible! Like seriously we got 31 points and lost! No one can tackle! They need to change something up on that defense
Went to the game in person and it was LOUD! Heartbreaking, but still fun. Never been a fan of waving goodbye to opposing fans like that though, kind of classless. The game did the talking.

Even my dad said at the halfway point in the game that it was over and we couldn’t beat them. But we did! And we had multiple starters out. This is why you never give up on your team! The hawks are searching for identity. These young players needed a statement win. They came back and capitalized on the Lions catastrophic mistakes all game long and got the win on the road. The Seahawks are very opportunistic and will capitalize on their chances whenever they are given at any moment in the game.

Wasn't expecting the Seahawks to win after the first week's loss and Detroit's first week win over K.C.

Good game from both teams. Unfortunate for the lions after that big week 1 win but I still believe they can make the playoffs this year. Goff throwing darts unfortunately there was the one that got away from him but I think this team can bounce back next week.
