Does anyone know how to get their bari to "kazoo"?
@eunoiawishes52076 жыл бұрын
the general idea is to take in less mouthpiece on a low Bb (or any low note really) and drop your jaw a bit and kinda play around with where your tongue should be and see what crazy high overtones there are to hit. another helpful video might be a video by "earspasm music" called "harmonic glissando," he does it on bass clarinet but it's the same idea for bari
@bee76906 жыл бұрын
It’s all about voicing, I just raise my throat and blow cold fast air and by moving your throat up and down you can change the pitch, imagine your singing the note through the horn

Robo Guy I didn’t mean to steal anybody’s comment
*trumpet screams in agony*
Holy shit I felt that deep in my soul
What amazes me more that the trumpets ability to “git up there” is his ability to stay strong the whole song. That is some incredible endurance.
2:17 look behind their giant poster. THAT MAN CAN DANCE
Andrew Torres-Strom LOOK AT HIM BOB
LMAOOO
Watched him for the entire video
He’s VIBING 😀😀
He’s QUITE AMAZING
Quick note: on the Bari sax honking at 1:00, he's actually hitting an overtone by fingering a low A and sounding a middle A (on bari sax) so you might want to add that to the score.
Anakin Dey Thx. I was wondering how he was doing that
S Pence Me too I couldn’t figure that out for so long and I’ve watch this video a lot not even my music teacher knew how he did that no surprise he’s a main brass player
I don't know if you will even reply to this, but I'm a relatively new bari player and I would like to know what in the hell is middle a?
I just meant the A in the middle of the staff as opposed to the A below or above the staff.
@@legoblox01 oh okay thank you so much mate I was confused as all hell
I wish the Spotify version sounded as good as this one
In the Spotify version it feels so much quieter and I think that the echo from the subway adds to the funk
Don’t lie, this is your 100th time watching this
200 actually
Absolutely
first timer actually!
@@notconnor01 thats bull shit man. I have watched this probally over 300 times by now.
4:44 Sousaphone: *activate insanity*
sousaphone is very underrated
I cant understand but... Good comment xd
Maria del Rocio Cordero Moreira You are so cool😏
@@mariadelrociocorderomoreir7052 I understood your comment. I think that cross-border relationships are really cool. It may be wrong English. But I want to cherish this connection. Thank you. 😊💕 Middle school students.

Why is no one giving love to the tenor player. Those solis with Leo are amazing.
facts
It’s nice that tenor gets a good part
Trombone or sax?
Snuklens0 sax you fool
Are you sure it's not a tenor recorder?
christian raduns is a tenor recorder MADE OUT OF BRASS AND HAVE A REED
Matt I play tenor sax and I agree
when band kids smoke
*plays kazoo on bari*
This is what happened when you give us drugs. We are already psychopaths anyways
Sacara that much true
Smoke reed every day
@@parzival6527 That's the best reply I've ever seen
I am so hooked on this song. i have watched this video I bet a dozen times. It gets in your head.
Matt DeWitt yeah and i just wanna learn trombone to play this but im a tuba
As I love my trumpet, I really wanna try the bari sax.
I concur, as I watch this for what must be the hundredth time. This recording has the best sound. It to me sounds "full" compared to other versions.
@@ryland. EXACTLY
me too, hundred times!
growling can make any solo better
Andrew Nguyen I thought it was called flutter tone but I’ve heard only trombones call it that I play bari but I’ve never heard anyone else but trombones call it that no other brass just trombones
@Andrew Nguyen Yo that's my name
Flutter tone and growling really similar but they are slight different@@raynesax6356
Those guys on trombone and trumpet are so good!
DJVIDS EVERYONE was good. Don’t forget the saxophone parts... especially the “kazoo” 😂

show trumpet some love :(
Trombone
guys what about the tenor sax, like cmon, we need love
If our whole band had like 1/100th of their energy, we'd be the best in the state
1:08 "sousaphone-y"
James McCoy I want to play that
Just aim high and blast
Well he is playing sousaphone I get that it’s weird writing but the guys playing a sousaphone not a tuba
1:26 lmao trumpet switch to ambulance
Pawquet how does he even do that
Idk im not a trumpet player. but he's doing a gliss.
Oh ok
Just push all three valves halfway through and bend the note up and down
Pawquet Don’t forget to switch from bari sax to kazoo too at 2:04
This trumpet makes notes come out that I didn’t think were possible to do! Great job all around.
He invents them! And youre glad he did. 😍
How does he get such a smooth sound for that siren, whenever i try you hear me slip through partials😂
dom_the_fisherman how do you even do that?
dom_the_fisherman bro me too I can hear the partials no idea how he does it
Half valving
H3CTIK_SH4RK obviously 🙄
Andy Zhu every band teacher is the same huh? 🥺
Ah yes
That trombone plays so high, he goes up a whole cleft
Does anyone know how to get their bari to "kazoo"?
the general idea is to take in less mouthpiece on a low Bb (or any low note really) and drop your jaw a bit and kinda play around with where your tongue should be and see what crazy high overtones there are to hit. another helpful video might be a video by "earspasm music" called "harmonic glissando," he does it on bass clarinet but it's the same idea for bari
It’s all about voicing, I just raise my throat and blow cold fast air and by moving your throat up and down you can change the pitch, imagine your singing the note through the horn
Press the specialized "kazoo" key.
Cmac The Great can you only do it with a bari sax, I tried doing the technique you mentioned on my alto, but it didn’t work :(
Cmac The Great are you able to do this with any normal mouthpiece, or does it have to be a metal one?
that trombone is the whole vibe
Oh yes, good argument.
My Opinion Bass line is the best. That Trombone player is amazing, coming from a Trombone player.
3:00 leo playing with his other hand lol
Y’all give the lower bois some love. That sousaphone or however you spell it is pretty cool and the baritone was killin it
Sousaphone 💀

1:34 I absolutely love that phrase on the Trumpet.
With the glissando right before it, it hits especially hard

If everybody is playing blastissimo, is anybody really playing blastissimo? 🤔
But ist so true, It is Like pep-band games, you're there for the fun. and ain't NOBODY GOING TO HEAR YOU ACROSS A FOOTBALL FIELD!! You play so loud with terrible tone but no one gives a fuck cause few actually understand how its supposed to sound. (lmaos silently)

Thanks Very much!! A big hug from Brazil🎺
Its amazing. I love this.
The Trombone and Tenor Sax together are louder than my whole band
I think you mean the Bari Sax, you can hardly hear the Tenor.
@@aaleyah3082 the bari sax isn’t very loud, the tenor is heard even when playing with the trombones, I can’t hear the bari when everyone’s playing.
I just saw these absolute legends in person today in Ohio and lemme say.... IRL they don’t disappoint
