I don't think you've heard any whistle notes yet. If you watch the Gakku version of "Unforgettable Day" then you will. Just when you think he can't sing higher you have an unforgettable day. When Dears tell you a specific version to react to it's because he does something in that version he hasn't done anywhere else yet. Like for the Idol Hits version of "Screaming". He could take any song written for any person and make it sound like it was written just for him. Another song that he does something you have never heard before is in "Passione". And it's funny that your friend mentioned heisting, in Dimash's new official video "Golden", more like a mini movie, he portrays a thief. Yes Dimash can act also.
You both should looking forward to: he was rapping in world online concert, and don't know if that'll be single and he will sing RnB-style song soon.
I usually don’t comment, but 1) your reactions are great. Dimash has been my magnificent obsession for the last 2 years, since he first came on my radar; and 2) as “starving” professional musicians, you should know about the 65 year old musician playing the piano. He is the wealthiest musician in the world. He is worth well over a billion dollars. Besides being a concert level pianist, he is a composer, producer, manager, promoter, and owns a music TV station. He has a house in the Hampton’s, a penthouse ($48 M) in NYC, a house for his daughter in NJ, and homes in Moscow. His name is Igor Krutoy. He was going to retire at 65 but saw and heard Dimash and changed his plans. When he is playing for Dimash, it is a song he composed. He helped bring Canadian Laura Fabian to fame as well as others. Dimash respects him greatly. Side bar: In Dimash’s video, “Sinful Passion,” with A-Studio (I believe your second reaction.), Igor is in an open collar white shirt. He stands at the end with his daughter and his wife is seated. So, as musicians at the beginning of your career, you may not end as billionaires but you have much to look forward to. Keep up the good work! Be inspired by Dimash and compose and play beautiful music! I for one believe in you!

Igor Krutoy is also one of the judges for Diana Ankudinova on the show where she sings "Wicked Game","Rechenka" ect. During her "Wicked Game" performance he is the last judge to push his "buzzer" because he was waiting for a natural break so he wouldn't interrupt the song, after that all the other judges started doing the same. Diana Ankudinova is another incredible young artist with a very unique voice. You should check out her performances, start with "Wicked Game". And also check out Angelina Jordan, she is the definition of child prodigy, start with "I Put A Spell On You" or "Gloomy Sunday" and you won't be able to stop. I also recommend you watch the performances by the young artists the TNT Boys, their cover of "Flashlight" is a good place to start. And last watch Marcelito Pomoy sing the duet version of "The Prayer". All these artists, like Dimash, are something special, with abilities like no other. This is my favorite performance of Dimash. Only he could give so much power to a breath. So effortlessly and flawless. It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard. It doesn’t hurt that he is so handsome in the purple velvet suit. He’s as dreamy as that song.. I see he surprised you a few times. That’s what Dimash does best. He shows how to excel in telling a story through the song, he carries you by hand from valley to valley, hill to hill, crossing the gate of heaven before the explosion at the end. That’s storytelling. The pianist, the Russian Igor Krutoy, is also the composer of the song. He is an extremely successful and rich composer. (Some say a Billionaire). When he first heard Dimash sing, he was already retired. But he came out of retirement and wrote a few songs for Dimash. This one, I think, plus Olympico (Ogni Pietra) He wrote Sinful Passion about 20 years ago. When Dimash sang it, he used the original band that had performed it. The lead singer had died. Igor was so impressed he has dedicated his own time and energy and support the Dimash.

Dimash has the incredible ability to guide our emotions through a journey. He is a master story teller and - I agree - he is beautiful to watch. It’s not surprising that both men and women are captivated by his being (voice, soul and person). He has to have confidence to have chosen the stage, but he comes across as a humble and sensitive soul. I have so many favorite performances and Love is Like A Dream is one of them.
