honda jazz 2002,2003 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 main drive shaft bearing replacement.
symptom, humming or grinding noise when clutch not pressed (transmission turning along with engine) fades away when clutch is depresed (transmission is disconnected from engine)
grinding sound on idle neutral.
this is sometimes misdiagnosed as release bearing.
Faulty release bearing makes noise when the clutch pedal is depressed.

Absolute gent for doing this video. Done my own today 👏 👏 👏
Thank you! This helped my with my 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.4 Standard .
BRO I DID IT -- holy crap! Thx!
Well done, good job
really cool, looks like the early 2000s Honda repair is similar
Thanks for sharing that buddy its a really good video with some great shots of the steps required. I've got a Mk7 civic which has got the same box to do imminently and your video has answered a lot of my questions. Brilliant.
Do you have part numbers for the all the bearings and seals? And torque specs?
Be took fucken easy wouldn’t it. I’m still trying to find the input shaft bearing part# for 1.3 I think it’s 91002-PHR-003
Curious if the opposite side bearing (thrust bearing) Normal to have up and down play? Right side to side. Coming out of a trans with only 39k miles and no issue. Just installing a LSD and changing the input shaft bearing and seal just because. I figure I want to change the seal so I don’t mind. I’m trying not to split this open again for a long long while if at all possible so I’m changing all bearings and seals while I’m in there but I forgot to order just that thrust bearing. it appears perfect if that angular play is normal anyway. I just don’t want to order a brand new one and it’s exactly the same play. Bearing actually looks to be designed to have that play. If I had 75k+ I wouldn’t mind just doing it but I don’t want to for nothing.
Hello do you have parts number of the bearings and oil seal thank you
Hi
Damn bro you are making look super easy my Rsx type s is making the same noise you think I can fix it ??
Keep everything in order, do it slow and easy. This is may 4th time to replace, 1st time was an adrenaline pumper as well. 😅
@@mbl-randomdiy6024 i feel you my bro I been super nervous what concern me the most is taking the ring 💍off the one you supposed to remove before taking the housing Can you kind of guide me bro ? If you can the one on the video is at 0.59 seconds
@@mbl-randomdiy6024 I just read the instructions again I will do it the same way you did it
@benitocamelaz3855 you may find the bearing doesn't drop. In that case break the seal on the case it will only seperate a couple of mm. Open snap ring and pry up on case and that will release it.
