Like, people keep trying to cancel Dave Chappelle every other week for his jokes even though the man's style of comedy has been consistent for the past 20+ years. He pokes fun at everyone. Male, female, black, white, Asian, Mexican, gay, straight, trans, rich, poor, disabled, democratic, republican. No race, religion, political party etc. etc. is off limits and not even his own wife gets a free pass from being used as a punch line. It's so annoying how people try to police comedians and have no understanding of what a joke is nowadays.

    • @@FrancineCampbell-Hakim, obviously, opinions will defer. For me, the humor came not so much from the jokes (which were intentionally racially insensitive) but from Michael Che's "offended" reactions (knowing full well that HE was the one who wrote those) along with Colin's increasingly uncomfortable reactions. That's been part and parcel of these joke swaps what makes them so funny -- two men who are friends intentionally trying to make the other one as uncomfortable as possible on camera. Usually Che gets the better of the two by getting Jost to say racist things such as one time where the joke "Today was Rosa Parks Day or, as we call it in my house, 'Uppity Black Person Day'" but Jost got Che back with the line "whether you're Muslim or Jewish, you all need Jesus in your life!". Once again, it's how much we got to see Che squirm saying that that made it funny.
