this makes a lot of sense tbh~ I was thinking about this a while ago when I was reviewing a BLACKPINK performance at AAA, if I remember correctly they were completely humiliated, the mics were not working, the audience was dead and they seemed so sad (this was on their rookie days, I would understand the audience being quiet if it was other rookie group, but *DAMN IT WAS BLACKPINK* that group that broke the internet since day 1) They literally faced an almost k-pop black ocean, if we compare to the performances they do in other countries...they seem a lot happier. Also the AAA thing was on the "1st successful" BLACKPINK era AIIYL (let's say that era that "stoped" Korea for a while)

YG produce INTERNATIONAL artists there is not one act that I would liken to an IDOL not one, each member of all YG talent can do it solo or as a group. The talent that YG has in its stable is phenomenal and all can make it big over seas, Dragon has huge fanbase we knew about him well before any IDOL poked their heads up. He is very much loved and respected artist. They can turn an award show into a concert, the biggest difference is YG used to keep all their artists together, so they supported each other or cheered if they won. BLACKPINK performed Playing with fire and Boombayah, at 2017 SMA's after just a few months of been debuted, the artists went mental when they started in with Boombayah, funny thing is I never seen them perform it again. I mean they took the roof of with that segment, and they were still ROOKIES, MONSTER ROOKIES. MAMAMOO, EXO, STRAY KIDS, IU are for me the only other acts who would fit right in with YG. Artistic freedom makes all the difference. YG might have a bad reputation, but you can't deny TEDDY is one hell of a producer, song writer, and their dancing academy is fab as well as their dancers, who are actually called DANCE ARTISTS, only by YG.
Also for me Skz and Ateez would fit right in with YG
