Can you do a skincare video for us women 50 and over? Thank you 😍💄
You look beautiful and glowing. Can you do makeup tutorial on what products you used please. Thank you!
Can you do a makeup tutorial for this look? You look absolutely stunning!!!
Recently she did a professional photography session, maybe it’s the same day she got professional makeup done 😉
Nikki Larose did this makeup 😊
Wish I could! This is professional hair and makeup! But I definitely picked up some tips I can share!
I agree!!!
@@DrSamEllisyes please share! We L❤️VE Nikki!
You’re makeup looks so pretty and summery
Girl you are glowing! Love your channel, it’s so helpful since there is so much info and so many products out there
Alastin Hydratint is my holy grail! Feels like skincare on the face. The SPF is 36, which is a little less than some mentioned here, but I wear it daily without fail, so it works. I also like the Elta MD Restore and the Australian Gold (but too drying in the winter). The Alastin is like wearing makeup without wearing makeup. Love it!
I love color science sunscreens so much, even though I have access to European sunscreens. They blend seamlessly and can easily replace foundation as well as shorten morning make up routine
You're glowing Doc!!
Some of the sunscreens here include butyloctyl salicylate. What do you think of Lab Muffin's videos about "mineral sunscreen" brands using butyloctyl salicylate as a hidden chemical filter to boost their SPF while claiming to be all mineral?
I’m so so so excited and grateful for this advice!
That hair color in you is a 💯 soooo cute. Thanks for all the recommendations and info
Loved the tip to layer the Colorescience products! I love the FS Flex and put it on in 2 layers, but in the winter its can be too drying to do that. Your content turned me on to Colorescience and I haven't worn traditional makeup since. I use the balms, the total eye tint, mineral eye shadow and mascara now and love it. With the hotter temps we're experiencing this year its great to have a product that's as sweatproof as what Colorescience makes!
whatever skincare or makeup you used in this video is PERFECT! Just the right amount of glow and makeup. Natural pretty.
Would love a body sunscreen version of this video! Please and thank you!
LOVE your summer highlights! ❤️
can I just say that you look stunning with this look?
Your makeup looks beautiful. I would love to see what you did.
my favorite tinted sunscreen is the Skinbetter Tone Smart spf! i like to layer it on top of my moisturizer and it looks great!
LOVE the Summer Fridays sunscreen. I always get compliments on my skin when I wear it. I just WISH it was SPF 50!
COTZ for the win!! Like you, I use the flawless complexion in the winter and the sensitive version in the summer (water resistant). I also like the Undefined R&R serum sunscreen. Also, thank you for sharing the Light as Air sunscreen in your chemical sunscreen video. It is incredible for the body and my kids only request this one now!! Such a gem. Already went through one and have 2 more to get us through the summer.
You look so beautiful and glowing. Can you do a makeup tutorial on this look please. Thank you!
Please share the products for your makeup look. You look stunning! What a glow!
Your makeup Is so pretty!
You look extra pretty today!! ☀️🙌🏼thank you for this video !! Omg Elta Md 41 has been my favorite for many years !!
Such a great one!
Started using TiZO's tinted mineral facial primer and will never go back to anything else! Flawless finish, blends well into type III/IV skin, and NO breakouts (finally!)
Yes!!!! I just tried Tizo3 a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love it too. I would never wear any sunscreens before because they always broke me out, including the Elta md 41. This is the only one I have ever tried that did not cause any break outs whatsoever. The primer part of it is fabulous too and no pilling.
Omg you look even more gorgeous in this video! I will need to try some of your tinted options. The ISDIN leaves me with terrible gray cast.
I went through your comments and absolutely everyone is reacting to how beautiful this new makeup is. I know it was done by a makeup artist, could you please do a video showing what products were used?
La Roche Posay , both the invisible finish chemical sunscreen and the tinted mineral one, are amazing!
Really loving the mineral spf from Cay Skin right now 💕 their face glow spf 45 is also amazing and is a chemical option that doesn’t sting my skin. These two are my HGs so far this summer
Naked Sundays Collagen Mineral Glow SPF 50…..my absolute holy grail, dry sensitive skin here and I love how this looks and feels on my skin, so thankful my friend gave this to me as a gift. I’m in Australia and have this on subscription service with a saving of 20%.
Makeup tutorial please..Perfect for summer!
Summer Fridays sunscreen is excellent. Super light, sets fast and has a natural finish. I love it. No white cast on my light/medium skin.
I love the mineral La Rosche!
Loving the hair Dr. Sam 🤍
The Dr. Dennis Gross all physical sunscreen is my favorite. It's pricey but it's super hydrating and my sensitive, dry skin loves it!
Your makeup/complexion here is GORGEOUS! Could you share what you used here?
Again you look stunning today. The sunscreen I love is from Supergoop! zinc sunscreen spf 40. I have very oily skin and this is a matte finish. I love it
OMG! This make up is gorgeous!!
Dr Ellis you look amazing. Thank you for your amazing videos ❤
Thank you, love your videos. This makeup look suits you very well. thank you again Dr Sam Ellis
Could you please share the eyeshadow you’re wearing? Love it. Thanks for all of the helpful info as always!
The summer Fridays work amazing for my deep skin
You look stunning in this video!
Australian Gold Tinted Sunscreen is hands down my favorite!! ❤❤❤ I’m surprised you didn’t mention it, maybe cuz it was in a previous sunscreen video? Thanks for the recommendations!!
Me too!! I use it every single day, it's amazing!
Tutorial on this look. So pretty on you!
I've been using the Australian brand Blue Lizard for years and loving it. Once it dries down it doesn't have too much of a white cast.
Kinship is my new favorite! I have dry skin and it leaves a nice finish. I love the color - just slightly tinted, cool shade. I used to like Pipette but was getting a rash on my neck from it.
These are my top 3 😁! I’ve been enjoying the Odacite tinted recently.
The Kosas sunbeam mineral sunscreen and the Neutrogena pure skin tinted sunscreen are very good!
I love the Dr Brandt Liquid Sunshield. It’s pricey but the formula is divine on my dry sensitive skin
Australian gold sunscreen is my top fav now, I have the 30 spf for body and 50 spf for face medium tone and I mix it together to get the best shade, it leaves my skin dry no oils, and fresh the whole day! I hope they don't stop that
Great video as always! 😊 I love the clearstem and solara sunscreen (solara is a serum called guardian angel and the one with vitamin c is really good too). Also the mineral sunscreen from hero is super affordable and very little cast.
Very dry mature skin type: In the Summer, I wear Skinceuticals Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50 primarily. I do enjoy Skinbetter Science Sunbetter Advanced Mineral Protection SPF 75 (water resistant) and Neutrogena Purescreen Mineral UV Tint Face Liquid SPF 30 in Medium. This SPF comes in 4 shades which is fantastic.
I love Hero’s Force Shield sunscreen! The green tint is nice to combat a little redness
Recently discover the Mad Hippie daily protective serum and I love it!
Great video! I'm really liking the TiZO 3 tinted sunscreen!
I like the drmtlgy tinted sunscreen (the tinted physical as well as the hybrid one).
I hope you don't mind my saying that you are so intelligent and beautiful. Your videos are over the top informative. I love your channel. I am obsessed! Thank you.
I Love the Ilia skin tint serum with SPF!
Loved the video and could you do a tutorial on this look… beautiful make and face!!
Eucerin sensitive mineral. Great for the kids and myself. Budget friendly too!
Great video and also, your hair looks gorg!!😍
LOVE the hair! ❤
I love a lot of these - at least the reasonably priced ones. Vanicream moisturizer with spf 30 is also a really good one for dry skin.
My favorite one is the Goongbe Waterful Sun Lotion SPF 50+. It is really runny and doesn’t leave a white cast on my light Medium skin tone.
Jesus… you look extra radiant in this video wow 😻
Hi. Great video! I love the Tatcha sunscreen
Love the Bloomeffects tulip dew SPF 50. Tinted, thin liquid formula that is really moisturizing but not heavy. I like mineral spf but it tends to dry down too matte for me leaving my skin feeling dehydrated. The moisturizing formulas usually feel heavy. This has been the perfect combo. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
skinbetter tone smart lotion is my holy grail tinted and the summer fridays is my fav sheer!!
You look extra breathtakingly beautiful in this video!
I join in on the comments that your makeup looks fabulous. It is a departure from your super natural look but it is great.
Been waiting for this video - thanks Dr. Ellis! My favorite mineral sunscreens right now are: Hero Superlight SPF 30 and Saint Jane Sun Ritual Pore Smoothing SPF 30. I love the Hero sunscreen on it's own on days I'm not wearing makeup (which tbh is most days haha I'm not a makeup gal), but my best friend has worn it on it's own and under makeup and she says it works great for both. I love the Saint Jane one under makeup as a primer, and it's nice enough to be worn on it's own as well, it just doesn't have enough coverage for my personal preference. They're both great for my combination/sensitive/red skin. Been wanting to try the Colorescience ones for a while, so those might be my next sunscreen purchase :) I'm still on the hunt for a mineral sunscreen that I can wear on it's own that gives more coverage, and those look promising!
Informative video as always!! Also could you please do a video on nail health? How to maintain the health of cuticles as such?? ❤
Ooh it’s coming 👀
@@DrSamEllis Thanks a ton!
loving colorscience flex!
I really like EltaMD UV Physical, but I've found it can be a bit drying. For that reason, I also like EltaMD UV Pure which starts out shockingly white and then changes to a clear sunscreen within 5 minutes. It isn't drying and also works well under foundation.
Hi Sam. I love your videos. I enjoy using the Australian Gold tinted sunscreen during the summer and the Paulas Choice Super light wrinkle defence during the winter. BTW great sunscreen recommendations in this video. Also I love your necklace..... where did you get it? 😊
I'm very curious about the Summer Friday's one. My favourite is the Defense one from Paula's Choice
Love your videos so much ,dr sam ellis ,your skin is gorgeous 🎉 😊 xx
I really like the Ultra Violette Lean Screen SPF 50+ and my rosacea likes it, too :) I have combination skin and light olive toned skin, the sunscreen has a grey / green tint that works perfectly for me.
I have the same skin type and always break out when I'm using 'chemical' sunscreens. Gonna try out the Ultra Violette, thank you very much for sharing:)
I've tried several and have come back to Elta Physical. It's the most flattering for me and feels good. Cera-ve is way too dark and orange. The new Neutrogena mineral sunscreen is too shiny and the light shade is very light which is surprising on my light skinUlta UV physical is just right, does not feel tacky, does not shine, and I like the pore-blurring effect that you mention.
Love your hair and makeup So beautiful
My favorites are the Australian Gold (I use Fair like bronzer) and the Numbuzin tone up cream (although it’s probably not all mineral). The Numbuzin is the only tinted product I’ve found fair enough for my skintone.
The Australian gold fair tinted is my absolute favourite. I’ve been using it for years and often try new ones that are highly recommended but I always go back!
@@justme-by8ry I love it! The Fair/ Light shade is getting harder to find in the US, so I just ordered 4 bottles when I actually found it. ☺️🤓
Your makeup looks amazing can you please tell us everything your wearing today just beautiful
She said on Instagram she had it professionally done. That’s why it looks SO AMAZING on this day in particular.
Yaaasss! I needed this video as I'm pregnant atm! Thank you!
Congrats! Chemical SPFs are considered safe in pregnancy too, but of course do what you’re comfortable with!
The Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47, there is a tinted version. It’ si really hydrating. I’m fair so I dont’ t use the tinted version. Il use the normal sunscreen for years and it’s a lovely formula for my face ❤😊
I like the Naked Sundays Collagen Glow Mineral Perfecting Priming Lotion SPF 50. It's a mineral tinted sunscreen that's water resistant, fragrance free, and has 20% zinc oxide. Very moisturizing for dry skin and the cool toned tint leaves no cast! Only cons are that it does feel thick going on (but it does have a nice finish after it's rubbed or patted on the skin) and it's pricey at $34.
I use the Flex everyday without fail. I use it, then just apply concealer for any extra coverage. The lightest color is perfect for my skin tone. I also like Elta md spf 44 sunscreen. It is more moisturizing than the 41spf. Biore spf 50+++ Korean brand has a nice one and I also love Beauty of Joson spf 50+++.
As an oily, acne prone, Floridian... I love the Australian Gold BB cream. I'm not sure why they changed the babe, it used to be their tinted face sunscreen, but I wear it all year long!
It seems a little to drying and then I get oily again. Is there any other for oily skin or should I use moisturizer under?
@@Nana-ir5bf I actually use a moisturizer under it. I use the Cerave PM lotion, just one pump. I find that it helps to keep my oils at bay.
I quite like the Australian Gold BB Cream as makeup and sunscreen in one, gives a nice blurring effect and they have different shades available, so it is one of the few that do not look orange or too dark on me. And, it is super affordable! The only problem is that it does gets very drying along the day :/
I use this too, specifically for my melasma, but I find it extremely drying.
I also like the Australian Gold BB cream, but find it is drying.. especially in the winter. Lately I have been using the Skin Aqua 50+ Super Moisture Shower Milk Sunscreen (a new holy grail for me) over a gel moisturizer, then several minutes later, I apply a little bit of the AG BB cream for coverage. I recently purchased the Sum Bum SPF 30 Daily Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer and am excited to try it. I believe it is new. It has a light tint and is water resistant for 80 minutes. The tint appears to be a lighter shade than the Sun Bum SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen face lotion.
Thanks for sharing this great video. Any suggestions for body mineral screen? No streaking. Thanks!
I have oily skin so I love the Elta MD UV Shield. I have tried the physical but it didn’t play nice with my oily skin. The Shueld has a slight white cast but I don’t care because I feel protected with it on. My mom laughs at me because I will reapply every two hours.
The Clearstem You are Sunshine is amazing…spf 50+, water resistant, 21% zinc, but somehow extremely lightweight! It’s so blurring on the skin and has caused no breakouts.
That does sound amazing, I'll have to try that one out. Thank you! 😁
Thank you doctor ❤❤❤🥰
I like the Bare Minerals tinted sunscreen.
Thank you for this amazing video. Colorscience just came out with an untinted sunscreen, could you review it? thank you.
Which foundation was used in this makeup look you’re wearing? So pretty! 😍 ✨
I love beauty of Joseon Relief sun protection plus probiotics, ++++ and even Isntree Hyaluronic acid watery sun gel is fine. Both double as a moisturizer for my dry skin care in hot and humid summer months. I use timeless Vitamin C Serum first and then directly my SPF and it feels good.
I have been a recent fan of Drmtlgy's Broad Spectrum (45 SPF) sunscreen. I love the lotion "feel": not too thick and goes on like a really lovely moisturizer. It purports to be for sensitive skin, which is why I was attracted to it originally. The only drawback, for me, is that it is not water resistant. It does come in a tinted formula, but I purchased the untinted version because I worry about tints not being a good match for my fair, 50+ skin. Thank you for this video! It provides more options for me--especially the water resistant/sensitive skin ones. 😊
The tinted version is fine for light skin tones! I love both versions. It is not giving coverage, the tint is very transparent.
Would love to know your thoughts on Dr V Inzincable mineral sunscreen
I love the biossance sunscreen! Have you tried?
You look super fresh and beautiful Dr Ellis! If there are any Korean sunscreen fans reading the comments here's one for your consideration. First, my skin type, combination, oily t zone. Skin tone - on the fairer side, can tolerate a little white cast. Recommendation: axis y sunscreen Version 3 (not the earlier versions). It's now fragrance free and purely zinc oxide based, upon initial application it looks like it will give a cast, but after settling down it gives a tone up effect (like a healthy glow after applying foundation? But definitely not a pasty white). Also it's a liquid gel type like japanese sunscreens, so it feels quite pleasant to apply on my skin. I'm using it on top of benzoyl peroxide and azelaic acid cream, and it doesn't cause any itching. Overall a good sunscreen. Also I'm in southeast Asia where it's really humid at the moment and this doesn't feel sticky or heavy for me. Hope this helps! Thanks again for this video Dr Ellis!
