  • this was truly the golden age of kickboxing

    • they thought differently about the show than westerners , in the west its a pure "Win" mentality, in japan it was more a "show" mentality, so they would give fighters a year long contrasct ending usually in a tournament or similar. in that way the fightters got a lot of fights , win some, lose some, but still be around if someone got hurt and they needed a replacement on the spot. u dont see that in ufc much.

    • @@magnetmannenbannanen A lot of their culture comes from the west but I loved Japan's fighting promotions. The UFC is thriving because they were smarter businessmen.

    • @@flowrepins6663 I liked the rule set better then Glory bit it's just kickboxing. Pride had some great fighters but fighting in a ring is dumb. I wish the UFC allowed fighters to customize their shorts and have more personality. Obviously soccor kicks and kneeing a downed opponent to the head is illegal in the U.S.

  • A good example of world class kickboxing. Both the guys are at the highest level at that moment burning themselves to the end for 3 rounds, showing all they have to the bones. So sad that I cannot see this level of fighting anymore now. Good days. Thank you.

  • Ray was like the Roy Jones of kickboxing. Godmode in the Light and Cruiserweights but just gave up too much of an advantage to very best of the heavyweights. No doubt he gave them a run for their money and became a legend in his own right but a great big fighter is usually going to win over the great smaller fighters.

  • When fighters of equal greatness combat, it's just a matter of one mistake leading to loss. Ray's mistake is not focusing enough by letting guards down, smiling and pointing here and there while the big guy is totally focused.

  • As much as I enjoy the UFC, I so miss seeing the K-1 and PRIDE fights that came around on PPV. I think I understand what Rogan refers to when he mention fighters with K-! striking ability. If I could Hybrid a a UFC HW fighter, first thing would be to have the striking skills as seen in this video. Just to withstand kicks like that is an amazing tallent / skill

  • Sefo is an great instinctive fighter, naturally gifted, very quick hands and defense, but the only problem is that he loses focus during the fight, and gets distracted. If he had the 3 round intensity of Bonjasky and Hari, he would have won a lot more.
